  1. After six seasons McD's results should be evaluated only against other coaches, past and present who have the advantage of one of the elite QBs in the league. Comparing him to Andy Reid / Dononvan McNabb is far less relevent than comparing him to Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes. There are a number of instances of QBs who went to many playoff games with one head coach but only won a championship after a change in head coach. Peyton Manning, John Elway are the two most prominent. Did things finally "click' for him in his tenth season, or did Mike Shanahan have a skill set Dan Reeves did not?
  2. You are correct. If you were too pursue this idea, why have a salary cap at all.
  3. We are at stage 7 of the McBeane Process: Stage 7: regressing in multiple areas and very contrained by salary cap.
  4. Josh Allen's level of total production is at the very very top of the league. There is no meaningful upside. We need to hope he can maintain that level of play. If his production dropped to the level of 10th best QB in the league, the Bills would struggle to win 8 games.
  5. Tomlin, Harbaugh and Carroll all did this early in their tenures. They have been resting on those laurels a long time. Think of this question in terms of production. Here is an analogy. In 2022 Aarron Judge his 62 home runs. Is there room for improvement for Judge. Certainly. Maybe he can hit 67 home runs. But people would think Aaron Boone was goofy as hell to suggest part of the Yankees 2023 strategy was to get more production out of Aaron Judge.
  6. The Eagles are an enigma. They have had the easiet past to the Super Bowl of any team in recent memory. But they stil might be the best team.
  7. Burrows steps up and stands in a pocket and delivers pinpont passes just prior to be crushed by the defense better than any QB I have ever seen. This is the reason he has the Joe Cool moniker.
  8. Burrows has huge cajones as a QB. He does some things that Josh simply does not need to do, because of Josh's physical talents. Burrows can't do anything Josh can't do.
  9. Well I started going to Bills games in the 80's and then when I got too old, i shifted to watching on TV. I am not sure if that is your definition of a bandwagon fan or not..
  10. no need to be grateful for life because someone was competent at their job.
  11. the good news is that Rodgers is a shadow of his prime self.
  12. didn't that guy trade the pick that took Mahomes?
  13. I feel as though the Bills would do well to follow the Bill Walsh system of scripting their first 20 plays so that they can make sure they are not predictable.
  14. During the second half of the season, it seemed as though the defense knew the Bill's offensive play call more often than not. Coincidentally the national media ran stories about the Bills "tells". For example over 95% of the plays Diggs was off the field were running plays. it seems like predicability is a killer. Fortunately Allen can run for his life and extend plays to compensate for the predictability problem.
  15. Coach McDermott has indicated Josh needs to play better. How the hell can a coach win with Allen's level of play?
  16. That is the correct question about all of the coaching positions. Many Bill's fans carry scars and are only willing to ask the question: Could the coaching be worse? It seems at this time the Bills as an organization are willing to let "very good" be the enemy of "excellent"
  17. Mitchell/Josh are tied for second at -19. Silverman/Discount Double check lead at -26
