  1. Lots of immediate options being discussed in this thread: https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/246114-suitable-edmunds-replacements-in-the-draft/
  2. My biggest fear is we commit huge dollars to Edmunds, effectively locking us into a defensive scheme, and DC, that seems to have been figured out by the good teams.
  3. Your addition of Graham seems to fill out the consensus in this thread that there are lots ways to move on from Edmunds (on rookie contracts)
  4. The premise of the OP is that we can get an adequate Edmunds replacement in the third round.
  5. Lets get all the draftees, and build an super line. Its just this simple:
  6. I love Jack Campbell. Different type of player. We need to to address offense in rounds 1 and 2. He won't be around in round three. But he his an old school MLB. might be wasted in the McDermott/Frazier full time prevent defense.
  7. Seems like there are several third round type players who can be suitable Edmunds replacements. This assumes we are keeping Frazier and our scheme. These are two: DeMarvion Overshown - former safety who grew up to be a linebacker https://thedraftnetwork.com/sr-prospect/demarvion-overshown-9d45f5cd-68e2-4ed1-ba13-6c61db37b4b8/ DeMarvion Overshown 🔥 FREAKISH LINEBACKER ᴴᴰ WARNING EXPLICIT LYRICS Drew Sanders - Projects all over the place from early second to late third Best Linebacker in the Nation 💪 | Drew Sanders 2022 Arkansas Highlights 🐗 || HD
  8. What we learned from Daboll leaving is that we had to take step back with our superstar QB, while the new OC and QB gelled. This will be repeated when Dorsey leaves. It is why some teams with a truly elite QB have a head coach who takes ownership of the offense.
  9. I am not anti-Dorsey. I am not sure what the available options would be that might help the Bills win a championship. If there are no better options than Dorsey then roll with Dorsey. But Imagine if you held interviews for the OC Job, which included Dorsey, and asked him "why are the best choice to help the bills win a championship in 2023? " and his answer was "I was only a rookie last year, you have to give me time to develop, obviously I will be better in year 2", a logical GM would kick him out the door. So I assume Dorsey has more to offer than that.
  10. Brandon Beane drafted Josh Allen. As a consequence, the Bills are now almost automatically a playoff team, and even a top 8 team. But it is fair to observe that well into Josh Allen's career we appeared to be stalled. If you place Allen on the top 24 NFL rosters, those rosters/coaching staffs look just about as good as the Bills (or better if you put him on a few teams like the niners, eagles, chiefs or bengals). (note not saying the chiefs or bengals are better than they are now with Allen, just saying they have stronger non-QB rosters than the Bills). However Beane has been doing it for the last several years ought to change, if the goal is to win a championship. Because it seems the current process has gone as far as it can.
  11. Either the Jets or PFF is silly. I picked up Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, and still landed Torrence
  12. If you are confident the oline is fixed with a first round guard than this plan is viable (I think the line needs a much bigger overhaul) Having over 30 million spent on WR 1&2 with a total age of 61 is also a bit unusual. I am not sure that is optimal. I would rather spend the money on Philadelphia Eagles guard Isaac Seumalo, and roll with Davis / snd round WR pick to battle it out for WR2. Davis will be much better if Allen has better pass protection. https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/isaac-seumalo-eagles-free-agency/
  13. This would not be a popular opinion. But I think Diggs would be the greatest slot receiver of all time. Wes Welker and Julian Edelman on steroids.
  14. I think we need to borrow from the future. Trade away future picks to get two additional first round picks in the middle of this draft. This is a QB heavy / Defense heavy draft. Top tackles, and WR's are going to be available in the mid teens. #27 should land the best Guard in the draft.
  15. You realize that mock simulations are games. And the user does not control the game. PFF sets the rules not me. Also you may not have noticed the title of the thread ".........never going to happen draft." Why be such a dawgturd. I enjoyed their analysis of him in the draft guide which included this comment: "Role was comical for projecting to NFL. Just vertical routes from the slot."
  16. Today's online rebuild list 2 round draft. I am willing to use three first round picks 2023,2024 and 2025 on online to protect my QB who is worth more than all those picks combined. My view is that if it was actually possible to trade these future first rounders, we could have the best online in the league beginning as soon as this season, and in any case by next season. Kick Skoronski inside on the left, with Dawkins at tackle, Torrence at RG, and Jones at right Tackle. None of these guys are projects. I would expect Josh to have all day to pass, and Cook to have massive holes to run through. Diggs Hyatt, Shakir should fill WR1, 2,3 just fine, and Knox will become more of a weapon, because he won't have to block as much as he does not. This offense would become unstoppable.
  17. Sometimes it is hard to understand things. You might want to try harder. The other poster suggests their are two choices, 1) stand pat and go 14-4 or 2)make a change and have a 20 year drought. These are not the only two choice.
  18. Why should the Bills be carving out two years of Josh Allen’s career to give on the job training to an OC? The only correct answer to the question: Why is Ken Dorsey the Bills OC? Is “Of the available options he gives the Bills the best chance to win a championship” No other reason to keep him.
  19. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, NFL football cames did not have instant replay. And somehow the league functioned. Mistakes were made, and people were annoyed, but they were accepted as part of the game. High School football is able to operate still without instant replay. In theory I like instant replay. But I feel like in many games now I am watching an episode of CSI-NFL as plays are disected frame by frame, Gene Steradore is brought in to give his opinion and even then, there are a fair number of plays were people simply disagree on the meaning of what they are seeing. My observation is the most controversial aspect of officiating is not the penalties that are called, its the penalties that are missed. For example, the hold at the end of the Super Bowl that resulted in the Chiefs being able to run out the clock was clearly a hold by the rules. But fans instantly railed against the inconsistency of applying that rule, point out how many times during the game more aggregiouos penalties had been missed. This leads to my first suggestion: There needs to be the ability for teams to call for instant replay for a missed penalty. Initially this will painfully slow games because so many holds in current games are missed but eventually players will adapt. If they know that they will always get called for holds, they will stop holding, or be replaced by players that can play without holding. The next thing I dislike about instant replay is that it adds a gameship element to Football that does not belong. Teams running up to the line to beat the review, home teams showing 10 angles of some plays on thier big screen, while not showing any replays of some other ones, or befuffled coaches not know whether to risk a time out or not being put under the gun. I would rather the outcomes of games be decided between the lines. The leads to my second suggestion. 2. Refs should have the ability to rule "could not determine" on a play. One element of the frustration with instant replay is it requires over turning a mistake. In many instances, it seems clear (particularly with regards to whether a ball was caught or not) where the ref just did not have a good view of the call. Let them throw a blue flag, asking for a review, to get the call right in the first place, rather than force the coach who to decide if the ref's guess was right or wrong. This allows the standard to be changed from "overruling with incontrovertible evidence" to "lets just make the right call". Good refs should have to throw this hypthetical blue flag only a couple of times a season. It should not be some sort of crutch. But this means only 1 call is made on the play rather than two calls on reversals. I think both of the changes would remove much of the frustration with NFL officiating. It seems as though it has to be better than the current system of expecting refs to be "consistenly wrong" and "guessing" when they don't have the proper angle.
  20. Hire a different Defensive Coordinator. (Note- this follows the rules)
  21. This Bills team is either less talented than the Chiefs and Bengals, or more inclined to choke. Concluding we were unlucky seems like a silly conclusion. Both the Bengals and Chiefs are better positioned from a Cap perspective for the next year than the Bills are too. Its all a bit frustrating.
