NFC teams are pretty flawed. AFC champion should be meaningfully favored in the super bowl -
I was big on the pick. I am disappointed. I thought the hybrid thing was good. Like he was going to be a high TE with WR speed, or a high end WR with size and strength. But he is not high end in either role. I am less sold on the hybrid than I was. Spoons and forks are both better than Sporks. You only use a spork, when the better tools are not availabe.

This hiring is the best argument for retaining many other head coaches. -
Should the NFL do a consumer product survey of its customers (fans)?
Chaos replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
For all the comments about ratings, every business tracks sales. Yet many businesses take time to ask the question "can we do better?" -
The people running the NFL certainly are not stupid. They have created one of the most successful entertainment products in the world. This entertainment is built on the foundation of a very exciting sport, football. But the entertainment piece extends far past that; pre-game shows, post-game shows, gambling tie-ins, on field and off field political messaging, and even cross-promotions with Taylor Swift. I think nearly 100% of the people who post on this forum, actually are mostly interested in the games themselves, whether they are attending in person or watching on TV. Regarding the games themselves there seems to be increasingly legitimate concerns about competetive balance, particularly concerns with officiating, but including other areas like scheduling and opaque draft compensation formulas. If they NFL were to ask you what should we ask of fans, what would your survey questions be. Some of mine would be: do you think the officiating is fair? What, if any rules do you think should be eliminated? What, if any rules do you think should be added? what, if any rules do you think should be changed? Does legal NFL gambling make the games more enjoyable for you? How much does NFL gambling make you concerned about the games integrity? Do you prefer the traditional or dynamic kickoff rules? should the draft order rules be changed to avoid encouraging teams to "tank"? Should pre-season games be eliminated? How many teams should make the playoffs? Should the current unbalanced scheduling methodolgy be maintained, or should the schedules be more balanced? IE teams no longer play division opponents twice, removing the advantage of playing in a crappy division (arguably a key component of the patriots long run of success) NOTE: I would expect all questions have as a choice, "I don't care". I am hoping mostly to compile a giant list of questions, rather than get feedback on answers to specific questions. What questions would you like fans to be asked? Once we have a giant list of questions, we can wittle it down to a few key questions, and survey ourselves.

Why can't the eye in the sky just be the eighth official on the field?
Chaos replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
The seven on the field are open to interpretation too. I am just adding an 8th human official with a better viewing angle. Not someone to diagnose every play in replay in slow motion. The goal would be to avoid the situations where everyone watching the game moans simulataneously at some incrediblly absurd calls. Officials on the field discuss calls among themselves all the time. Let the eye in the sky help sort it out. Phanton facemasking for example. In real time, everyone but the guy who throws the flag watching on tv, typically knows it was not a facemask. Its not rocket science. On or off the field. -
Is the ball control offensive approach mostly to protect the defense?
Chaos replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
bills lead the league in points per drive. They are far further down the list on points allowed per drive. If the defense was average. If the defense as fully dependable the Bills should welcome track meets. it is clear it is to protect the defense. -

Maybe the real upset should be "why can't the Bills TE's get this open?"
