  1. Steelers fans are getting sadder.
  2. 12/16 AFC teams have realistic playoff aspirations this year. Almost every game involving an AFC team is interesting, because its outcome matters. Among the early slate, seeing where Burrows and Watson are at is pretty interesting. Seeing where the Dolphins are at in the later game Patriots game would be interesting if it turns into an upset.
  3. You don't seem to understand the discussion. That is ok. I will summarize again: 1) There is no recent correlation to the Bills finishing ahead of the Bengals in the regular season, and actually finishing ahead of them in the post season. So beting ahead of them in the regular season this year is not a reasonable argument that they will finish ahead of them in the post season. 2) Until the post season happens, there is no way to know if the Bills have figured out how to translate the regular season success to finish ahead of the Chiefs/Bengals (with the exception if one or more of these three teams fails to makes the playoffs. Then we would know before the playoffs) 3) At no point do I claim the Bills cannot or will not finish ahead of them in the post season. Just saying there is no reasonable way to use the regular season results to conclude that will happen ahead of it actually happening. I hope this clears things up for you. No requirement to agree with me. But your previous post indicates, you dont even know what you are disagreeing with.
  4. Not at all what I said. I said until they actually advance further than the Chiefs and Bengals in the post season, they are not ahead of them. I never said that could not happen.
  5. Corral has publicly discussed depression issues in the past. And their seems to be some concern for his well being. https://x.com/3rdtakesports/status/1700685077456253220?s=46&t=DBC_sBZMnfe6wzRtQpq0gQ
  6. If Josh has an average Josh Allen game, Bills win easily. The average Josh Allen game yielded a 13-3 season last year.
  7. I am getting an early start inspired by Jawaan Taylor.

  9. For people that don't want to expose their information to the Chinese government via tic-tok, here is the fun part from that video it seemed 50% of his passes where wobbly wounded ducks, and that his arm strength was terrible. Maybe my eyes.
  10. The lions are going to be fun to root for. Very interesting personnel set. If Goff plays like he did against the Chiefs, the Lions will have a hard time breaking .500. They are not going to have a pick 6 dropped in their hands every game. And I don't think the Chiefs defense is/was special. 14 points from the offense doesn't put you in the conversation with the Eagles or 49ers. But I will be rooting for the Lions.
  11. We saw Thursday night that really good QBs (Mahomes) who can run, run a lot, if their receivers can't get open. This will hold true for Josh Allen as well.
  12. Bills were ahead of Bengals in every category the last two years including win-loss record. Eagles are in the minor league NFC. Not really on par with the top AFC teams. So I stand by my statement, which covers the entire expanded playoff period. This not about a whether or not the Bills are among the top teams. The Bills are a top team. The discussion whether or not the Bills are better than third in the AFC. During the regular season the tlast two years, the Bills were ahead of the Bengals in the regular seaons. , yet did not finish ahead of the bengals in the post season. So your single year data point, actually supports my side of the argument that the Bills being ahead of the Bengals in the regular season has no correlation to finishing ahead of the Bengals in the post season.
  13. You are assuming a correlation of regular season success to playoff success that is just not supported by results since the playoff expansion era to 12 and 14 teams. Since there is no such correlation, there is very little you can accurately conclude from the regular season, with the exception of a top team unexpectly not making the playoffs at all. One possible reason is that some coaching staffs have better adapted to the 17 game schedule and 14 playoff teams concept, than other coaching staffs.
  14. This is why I disagree. The Bills torched the Chiefs in the regular season. They had much better regular season offensive rankings, defensive rankings, and win loss records than the Bengals did. And none of that mattered. If the Bills go 17-0, have the number offense, and the number one defense, and Bills fans end up watching a Chiefs - Bengals AFC championship rematch, to me, it means the Bills were never ahead of either of those teams. Just an illusion that they were. In other words, no reasonable analysis can be conducted before the playoffs are over.
  15. Lets just agree you are wrong, and move on.
  16. Chiefs and Bengals both advanced to the AFC championship game twice, in the last two seasons. Until the Bills prove they can advance further in the playoffs, they are behind the Chiefs and Bengals. Its not complicated.
  17. I tried to answer the actual question you posted in the post I replied too. Now I understand what others are saying about your posts. I will summarize what they are saying more succintly: Your posts in this thread are pure nonsense. I hope this clears things up for you.
  18. Any reasonable analysis puts them behind the Chiefs and Bengals now. If Chiefs and Bengals go further than the Bills in the playoffs this season, then any analysis would put the Bills behind them. And those are good teams.
  19. PFF place Allen at 6.5 points per game vs neutral replacement QB. Bills are favored by less than 6.5 in 12 games. If the replacement QB is Burrows, Hurts or Mahomes, than Allen adds no value. If the replacement QB is Jordan Love, Allen is worth up to 12 games.
  20. We all hope your expectations come true. A lot in football is unpredictable. My main hope for this season is that it does not end in an extremely disappointing/embarrassing way, as the last two seasons have. And I hope we don't end up further cemented as the AFC's third best team. Your expectations solve all of the problems
  21. Here's the thing. In 2022, Bills Rookies played 477 snaps, and went out in the divisional round of the playoffs. Chiefs rookies played over 2000 snaps in 2022 and they won the superbowl. This is the reason people think the Chiefs have done a better job drafting. A lot of fans think winning Super Bowls is better than establishing culture and process. You can argue against the rookie contribution being an important part of Chiefs super bowl win if you want. But most people are not caught up in causation arguments. They simply see the correlation of the chiefs rookies playing 4 times as much as the Bills rookies while winning the Super Bowl and conclude that means Veach did a good job drafting.
  22. Bills - 31, Jets 17
