  1. That music is the reason most of us old people are NFL fans.
  2. Put Shorter on the Field instead of Davis, and you can run a 1960's green bay style sweep with Josh playing Paul Hornung. Bold added by me. The bolded part is a "BINGO"
  3. Kincaid will get starter reps from game 1. Base your target estimates on that.
  4. Mahomes as a consenus first round pick, not 40. Some random outlier mock may have missed the point. But Mahomes was expected to go in the first round. He was not a huge reach. This is discussed earlier in the thread. ESPN's had mocked him at 20th overall. So a modest reach. Aaron Maybin defines huge reach. To be fair, Mahomes was a project and did not play his rookie season.
  5. I don't see kindcaid and knox as competing for TE1 at all. Knox will play TE1 and Kincaid will line up in the slot on 1TE sets. and kincaid will move over to TE2 in two tight end sets. Kindcaids flexibiliytin this regard gives him a McCafferty-like confusion to the defense about what the offense is planning. Defense simply can't judge based on personnel in the huddle when you have a guy like that.
  6. PFF grades each player in each college game all year. You do not have to love their methodology but it does mean they have a group of people paying attention all season not just during “draft season”
  7. What is Marino's background as a college talent assessor?
  8. I take great comfort in the accuracy of your track record.
  9. Ravens with Tyler Huntley played the Bengals tougher than the Bills did last year. Jackson is a serious upgrade from Huntley. My rankings assume he makes it through the season healthy. KIncaid is top end talent. You should rephrase your sentence. Also ignoring the improvement expected from McGovern and Torrence is just silly.
  10. This is going to upset people, but here are the correct preseason AFC rankings 1. Chiefs 2. Bengals 3. Bills, Ravens
  11. Shorter did the agility drills at his pro day, according to this. It did not go well.
  12. Some aspect of the Bills continues to prevent them from being a championship caliber team. I am 100% confident we have a championship caliber QB. To me nothing else is certain.
  13. Torrence to help block, makes the redzone running option very viable too. This is the key to adding Kincaid.
  14. Kincaid will get more than all other slot receivers combined. I think Knox gets the same number as last year.
  15. Any team that did not have a franchise QB who found one in this draft "won the draft". Same reason the Bills are the clear draft winner from the year Allen was taken. Chiefs won the Super Bowl, they have no actual room for improved outcomes. I think Bengals had a very good draft. Whether or not thier draft allows them to keep the Bills in the rear view mirror, or to pass the Chiefs won't be known until the playoffs. The Raven's had a good draft too. They were one fluke play away from beating the Bengals team that dominated the Bills last year. They upgrade Huntley to Jackson, added OBJ and a new OC. I am very happy with the Bills draft, but I would have been happier with the Eagles draft.
  16. We lost to a Zach Wilson jet team. Your comment clearly indicates you are confused
  17. Philosophy is often personnel dependent. The Bills will fully utilize Kincaid.
  18. Because PFF had a separate post giving out A+ grades
  19. No. Mahomes was a consenus first round pick. Ajdusting for positional value, he was a bit of a reach at 10. But he is far from the biggest reach to succeed.
  20. Not really. Most every players has someone criticizing. PFF and Football Outsiders both proclaimed it a great pick. Hurts was exected to be a third round pick, he went at 53 overall. He certainly has out performed his draft position. But that is not what the thread is about. Hurts does not really qualify as a reach. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-jalen-hurts-wasnt-a-good-pick-by-the-philadelphia-eagles-he-was-a-great-one
  21. Being skepitcal of a pick succeeding has nothing at all to do with being a reach. I am skeptical Bryce Young (too small) CJ Stroud (poor cognitive test results, Ohio State QB), or Anthony Richardson (poor college production) will succeed in the NFL. However none of them were a draft reach. Their draft position aligned with the public consensus fairly closely.
