  1. They seem to be losing most of the individual battles.
  2. Rocky did not win them all. But he won a bunch. Including some championships. Wes Welker / Julian Edmonson dreams dancing in my head.
  3. I know you are mostly having fun with your question. But I have a number of high school head coaches in my immediate family (Basketball, Track, Golf, not football). Particularly with basketball we have frequent conversations on how to get teams to peak for the playoffs. The only thing we all agree on is that it not easy.
  4. I think the Eagles pretty clearly established how you run goaline plays under the current NFL rules. It does not involve a fullback.
  5. Last December the Bills signed Cole Beasley off the street, and they also signed John Brown. In the NFL, you need WRs to win down the stretch and win in playoffs. If the Bills have seven WR's who could contribute in the playoffs, they should keep them all. If Knox or Kincaid go down, in the playoffs, they will run 1 TE sets, they are not going to plug Morris into either of their spots for any meaningful number of playoff stats. If Harty, Sherfield, Davis or Diggs go down, the Bills will have to trot someone out play. All roster decsions should be based on who do I want in the playoffs, given typical injury situations (other teams have injuries too, I think the Bills were the only playoff teams signing old recievers off the street in Dec of 2022 last year. I hope the Bills don't put themselves in that position again. Ever year is different, but in the playoffs last year would you rather the Bills have had Isiah Hodgkins, Reggie Gilliam, or Quinton Morris on the roster?
  6. Come playoff time, WR Depth far more important than Gilliam. Not even really arguable. There is no chance in a short yardage situation in the playoffs, the ball is going into Gilliams hands.
  7. Murray, Harris, and Josh seem to minimize any need for a fullback
  8. I think they should hold Allen and Diggs out until week 9, this cuts injury risk in half.
  9. There are great players from #1 overall picks to UDFA's in NFL history. But there is a pretty strong correlation between draft position and NFL success. Probably "flashes" are less useful for setting expectations than draft position. Probably.
  10. If its on wikipedia, then picked up by google, it could never be wrong. I mean its the internet after all.
  11. I guess they left any reference to Keith McKeller out of the article, and had that big picture of Jim Kelly, and the entire focus on Jim Kelly to throw readers off the scent.
  12. Earlier this year he said "you can't replace Edmunds". I am concerned he just can't past that. Shakir was a fith round pick. People set high expectations for him. Shorter was fifth round pick. People are setting low expectations for him. Seems like both play about like you might expect a fifth round pick to play.
  13. Reading comprehension is a must. PFF accurately reported he is not slated to start. /full stop. 100 percent accurate. They also say that may change
  14. Everything I can find says the K Gun was named for Jim Kelly.
  15. I think it is because they know how to read a depth chart:
