I agree, something must be done about it. I hope there's another game there this year where it is an issue so that it gets the attention it deserves, but I hope that it isn't ours. If the league doesn't do anything about it the Bills should adjust the plans for the new stadium so that any rain is funneled down directly over the visitor's benches. Hey, not our problem, we can't control the weather.

Should the Bills trade up for their own “Julio Jones”
Dick_Cheney replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is indeed correct and true, but at the same time I have a hard time directly comparing the last 10 years of WR performance in the AFC East vs the NFC South. The NFC South has got to be the easiest division for a WR to rack up stats, given the general level of competition, the weather, and the indoor playing environments. -

Josh Allen Documentary - Right Place, Wrong Time
Dick_Cheney replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's genuinely hilarious and entirely absurd that the conversation is apparently "Allen hasn't won a Super Bowl in his first 5 years in the league. He's doomed and so are the Bills." Really almost not even worth engaging with such clickbait. -
The games that concern me most out of these are Texans, 49ers, and maybe Lions. Ravens are gonna drop off a bit, especially with losing their DC. Chiefs are going to drop off a bit, especially with losing one of their premier defensive players for likely all of next season. Also an outside shot that Kelce or Reid retire. A sick part of me wants them to win the Super Bowl so that there's a greater chance one of the would want to go out a champ. We've figured out the Dolphins, and assuming we're healthy when we play then and Joe Brady somehow doesn't set the offense back, I expect to win both games against them. Very much hoping we don't have to deal with another extreme heat situation in Miami again. I genuinely think the league should attempt to address this issue, it is a legit danger. Bengals I could see going either way. I really hope we beat them, as I don't think we have since like 2019. Also their fans are insufferable and I really, really don't want to see Burrow have anymore greater success than Allen. The schedule looks tough-ish on paper, but think of all the playoff teams we beat this year. I really do believe we have a legit shot at the 1 seed, once again, barring another season of cursed injuries. Only 8 more months to go!

Quite surprised they chose not to go with somebody Offense minded. Wonder what this says about their faith in Geno.

Such an incredible thread to read through.

Core concepts of Joe Brady's offense

Non paywall version, but doesn't show the videos:https://www.printfriendly.com/p/g/KZ8dqS If you punch the direct link from the Athletic into 12ft.io, you can see the whole thing. -
Sounds great in theory but is pretty much negated by the fact that almost everything you described would be considered roughing the passer. If we had somebody like Bosa, or if Von Miller does indeed return to form (I think he'll mostly get there) then we would've been able to do this far more than we did. Finding a guy who is even close to what Bosa or TJ Watt is would make this team digustingly good.

Calling it now: Bills are going to at least reach the AFCCG
Dick_Cheney replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Beane doesn't totally screw up this draft and if we can maybe for once in our freaking lives not be absolutely wrecked by injuries to start the playoffs, I think we at least get to the AFCCG this coming season. If our defense had only been wrecked with injuries instead of being absolutely wrecked with injuries, we would've been there this year. After seeing how awful the Ravens played, it's a bit heartbreaking to wonder what could've been if we had had maybe one less starter out on defense. The expectation for next season should once again be to at least make the AFCCG, full stop. -
Very possible he misses the majority of next season.

Brady -> Mahomes AFC dominance is best case for league realignment
Dick_Cheney replied to Peevo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Realign the realignment! -
Is that good.

If he hadn't acted like he did after that game, I probably wouldn't be as annoyed with the thought of him winning another Super Bowl. His behavior during and after that game was inexcusable, and for him to win it all yet again after that will leave a really bad taste in my mouth. Off the top of my head I genuinely can't recall another QB, let alone an absolute top tier star of a QB, behaving like that ever. It was giving Ron Artest vibes.

Playoff defense not just bad, next level awful
Dick_Cheney replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are only two possible reasons for this. Historically bad luck with key defensive injuries, or coaching. The answer could honestly be both of them. Luck evens out over a long enough time frame, but so many other things also change during that time frame that it might not be enough to get over our current Division Round hump, let alone win a Super Bowl. First priority is obviously managing our cap situation. Then I think that if by the trade deadline we are in contention for the #1 seed, I think we have to go all out in trying to get it. Sell the farm and take the risk. It's unfortunately obvious at this point that Beane could have been significantly more aggressive this past year at the deadline and acquired at least another receiver, and while that wouldn't have resolved our defensive woes, it's entirely possible it would have been enough to overcome them. If we had grabbed DHop or maybe even Henry, I think it's fair to say that we probably wouldn't have been screaming about dudes dropping balls the entire second half of the season. It's so damn frustrating to feel like between ownership, coaching, and player management there is always some aspect of this organization holding back and not willing to go balls to the wall to do absolutely ***** everything possible to win a championship. I can only hope that the pain and disappointment of this year has turned those gears a little bit more for Beane and McDermott. -
Falcons hire Rams DC Raheem Morris as head coach
Dick_Cheney replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
What's left? Panthers, Commanders, Seahawks? At least Belichick would be out of the AFC. Almost wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't take a coaching gig at all. -
Dude shouldn't have even been allowed to finish the regular season. Atrocious.

I honestly wonder if somehow Lamar lays a total egg this Sunday if he could maybe not get it.
