I just can’t imagine how you can watch him play and come away with that opinion. Outside of Mahomes, he might be the player on the team I’d demand the most for in a theoretical trade. (He’d be right there with Tyreek Hill and ahead of Kelce and Chris Jones, IMO). He’s that good. His measurables are like something created in a lab to be an outside CB. At the combine, he measured 6’1 192, so he’s got ideal size. He ran a 4.37 40 with a 41” vertical. Obviously he can play the slot given that he completely locked down Diggs, and he’s a hell of a pass rusher from there. (He’s the one who caught Allen for about a 20 yard sack). I’m telling you this guy is all-pro level right now. He’s Jalen Ramsey good.

This post is spot on except for the CB discussion. L’Jarius Sneed will be a starting CB, and he was incredible last year as a rookie. He’s the one who locked up Diggs in the AFCCG. When he went out, Diggs had catches on the next 2 plays. He probably had the best rookie season of any Chiefs player I’ve ever seen, broken collarbone notwithstanding. The Chiefs secondary is stacked, though I would like to see Breeland back if they can work out a reasonable deal.

Which lineman that played in the Super Bowl is going to start next year?

Which QB do you want the Jets to draft?

I’ve heard Wilson has some issues off the field. He might not be the type of guy you want leading a locker room. -
Any thoughts on WR Dyami Brown, UNC?
Billl replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How so? If a 34 year old WR who will be playing on his fourth team in 3 seasons is expected to be a key contributor, there’s plenty of room for a talented rookie. -

Pass catchers on this roster consist of Diggs and a bunch of JAGs. Of course there’s room for a talented rookie. -
Are teams trading too many assets to get a QB?
Billl replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The premise of this thread is flawed. Teams aren’t giving up more than they ever have. SF is using the 3rd overall pick on a QB, and they gave up fair value to acquire that pick. Top QB prospects have historically been taken at the top of the draft, and draft value charts haven’t really fluctuated much. If the 3rd overall pick was a $20 bill, SF traded them a $10, a $5, and 5 ones. The OP should really be broken into 2 separate questions. 1. Is the third overall pick too much for a QB? (No) 2. Is what the 49ers gave up to get that pick too much? (Maybe, but it’s more or less in line with the draft value chart). -
They’re almost certainly taking Sewell if he’s there.

Whoever it is, he needs to be able to run. This is the slowest team in terms of skill position players I can ever remember.

Just last season he hurt his foot in the opener and missed 3 games. Later in the season he had a concussion. Then he finished the season on IR with injuries to his hip and knee. He’s a little guy, and he’s taken a beating.

Zach Ertz about to be traded? [Edit: or Not]
Billl replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How long do you want to tie yourself to a guy who is over 30 and coming off an injury, though? -
I’ll venture somewhere around 6 years and $270,000,000 with $150,000,000 guaranteed. Dak just got $40,000,000 AAV. No chance Allen takes 75% of that. Nearly no chance he takes only 100% of that.
-
How old is that in reptilian solar being years?
-
Not a problem, I just find it amusing that you think Josh is going to leave $100,000,000 on the table whereas Mahomes’s incredibly team friendly deal is going to be some sort of albatross.
-
You’re the same guy who just said this about Josh... I’m not sure you understand how this all works.

Allen will likely be extended this offseason

The salary cap is about to explode given the new TV deal, gambling revenue, and fans returning. I could see 6 years for $270,000,000. -
Great signing.

Zach Ertz about to be traded? [Edit: or Not]
Billl replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s not just a third round pick, though. It’s a third round pick AND $8,250,000. For that level of assets, I think I could get something better than a 31 year old TE coming off a terrible season who will be a FA in a year. -
If the need is getting Josh killed because his RB can’t pick up a blitz to save his life, Lindsay is your guy. He was pretty good runner, but he doesn’t do much in terms of receiving and is a huge liability blocking. He’s also broken.
-
75% chance he wants to return. 50% chance we cut him if he does. Up to $5M. It’s going to be heavily incentive laden. If he can’t play, it’s going to look a lot like the veteran minimum.

Allen needs a new contract in the near future. His cap hit will be minimal for a few more years. -

Sure, but Roaf didn’t have to beat cancer. There’s a very real chance he wants to secure as much guaranteed money as possible. Not all 4/$160M deals are created equal. Meanwhile, they just lost Mitchell Schwartz who is likely to be retiring at age 31. -

100% true. What would you be willing to offer in terms of a contract and picks? He’s a prime candidate to be cut, IMO. -

For a guy his age and with his health history, the devil will be in the details. Very likely he’s willing to give up AAV for more guaranteed $$$$.
