The biggest need on the team, IMO is a pass rusher. Floyd led the team with 10.5, and he's gone. Oliver had 9.5, but that was a massive outlier for him. He had 9.5 in his previous three seasons combined. I think his number decreases a bit next year, and maybe Von gets a couple to make up the difference. That puts a lot of pressure on guys like Rousseau and Epenesa who have yet to really prove themselves as pass rushers.

Does Josh Allen still work as hard in the offseason?

I suppose if you choose to ignore the part of my post where I used an 8 year window and a ten year window and then also choose to ignore the part about Brady then my post didn't make as much sense. -

Depends how you want to want to measure it, 5 of the last 6 have been won by Mahomes or Brady. That counts as "usually" to me. Granted, that's a bit of a cherry picked window, so you could go with the last decade which would be 7 out of 10 which would also qualify. Then again, a few of those years were before Mahomes was even in the league. Since he was drafted in 2017, it would be 6 out of 8. During that stretch, Brady has won 3, Mahomes has won 3, and all other QBs combined have won 2. So, yeah. The Superbowl is usually won by the team with either Mahomes or Brady. -

Saying that Aikman was basically Kirk Cousins might be paying Troy a compliment. -

Seems like they’re usually won by whatever team had Brady or Mahomes at QB. -
We definitely weren’t complaining. $3 million was a good deal. Given the state of the FA Safety market right now, I’m guessing Buffalo got him for that or less which is a solid deal. If you’re expecting a high end backup or lower end but serviceable starter, you’re going to be happy. If you’re expecting him to be peak Jordan Poyer they you’re going to be disappointed.
-
That’s exactly what he is. He wasn’t particularly good when he had to start, but he wasn’t a liability and that’s all you can ask from a backup. I would be pretty surprised if both he and Rapp were first string next year. They’re both the type of player who you can get by with if the rest of the defensive backfield is solid, but neither are really plus players. Good signing assuming he’s in the $2 million range for sure.

Jeremiah has us taking a DT at 28 in his latest mock

I’d run to the podium if he’s still on the board when Kansas City picks. -
Underrated athlete…more quick than fast.

What if the Chiefs offered Creed and their third for Buffalo's first? Would that be preferable to drafting a center in the first and then only having over more pick until the end of round 4?
-
And saying that a second team All Pro player who just got $20 million a year is nowhere near starting caliber is one of them. That’s your statement, not mine. Not only is he not great, and not only his he not good, and not only is he not average, and not only is he not even below average, and not only is he not a solid backup…he’s nowhere near starting caliber. What other all pros from last season are nowhere near starting caliber, in your view?
-
Miller hasn’t played at an All Pro level since 2018. Smith was literally 2nd team All Pro last year. If he’s “nowhere near starting caliber”, then I don’t know who is considering the guy who was first team All Pro last year is going to be 36 and also missed a couple of games.

Haha, we’re not far off at all other than I’m a Chiefs fan and you’re a Bills fan. I enjoy the football talk and the back and having some fun with rival fans. Sometimes I like to hang out with a group of completely likeminded fans, and other times it’s fun to trade back and forths with fans of rival teams. That’s what makes rivalries fun, IMO. I know it’s a Bills site, and I try not to cross the line. Sometimes I don’t try hard enough. WTF? Do you have no friends who are fans of different teams? Chill TF out.

I will be secretly happy for all you jerks when the Bills finally win one. Pissed as I was, here was my post when Davis caught the TD with 0:13 left and the game was effectively over. That won’t stop me from poking at y’all, though.

I find it funny that “it’s not even close” in your opinion. The best number one target on that list is Kelce. He’s better than Diggs. The second best option is Rashee Rice. He’s better than Kincaid. The third option of Brown versus Samuel is probably a wash, though Brown has better numbers across the board in his 5 seasons than Samuel has in 7. Shakir is a better 4th option, but that doesn’t really move the needle. Now factor in the contracts. Diggs, by himself, has a bigger cap hit this season than every Chiefs player on that list combined. As for Kincaid versus Kelce, that comparison makes no sense. If you wanted an honest comparison, it would be Kelce versus Diggs and Rice versus Kincaid. I wouldn’t trade Kelce for Diggs, and I wouldn’t trade Rice for Kincaid. Kincaid looks like a really nice piece going forward, but Rice looks like the next big thing in Kansas City. There’s a reason the Chiefs jumped the Bills in the draft to grab him. There’s also a reason you’re trying to compare your rookie to where our aging vet will be in 3 years while comparing our rookie to what your aging vet was last season.

I’ll take the second group all day, every day.
-
It doesn’t even make sense. There’s no way he should have signed for this little.
-
Well the good news for you is that we’ve disagreed with pretty much everything ever, and, to put it lightly, my track record has been better than yours.
-
Look at the contracts that are getting thrown around. If you spend this type of money, you get a guy with a busted foot and hope he stays healthy. That's the market. It's unpopular here, but Beane could have given Davis a 4 year $32 million extension a year ago.
-
I can't believe the reaction here. Seems like a really good move, IMO. As a Chiefs fan, I'd have been excited if we'd have done this.
-
Not only is it not a stretch, but he’s going to be closer to $40 million than $30 million AAV. If he signs a 5 year deal, I’m guessing its around $185 million.

What if Allen and Mahomes swapped exact situations?
Billl replied to first_and_ten's topic in The Stadium Wall
ICYMI, Mahomes overcame the two misses and won the game. -
Yep, and he didn’t come anywhere near putting up 1600 yards and 14 TDs over the past two seasons like Davis did.
