  1. Yeah, it’s probably a lot easier for her to attend a game that’s a 3 hour bus ride away. She wouldn’t even know how to fly to a different city.
  2. Beane traded out of the first round and wound up picking the 8th WR in the draft when he could have had the 5th. His compensation was moving up from the 4th round to the end of the 3rd. What’s the point of acquiring capital in that section of the draft if you’re just going to use it on a backup RB who might start in years 3 and 4 and will then be 29 years old?
  3. Beane drafted 3 24 year olds and 3 23 year olds. It’s worth mentioning. Kincaid was the second oldest first round pick last year, and Torrence is only slightly younger. There’s a clear strategy of picking older players.
  4. The Chiefs took a swing at a starting RB. It was a massive failure because he wound up being a backup RB. Buffalo just spend a 4th round pick trying to get a backup RB. That makes sense to you?
  5. Literally any of them. Beane used a 4th round pick to draft a guy who turns 25 in November to be a backup RB. I have no idea how good he will be as a player, but how do you defend the thought process that led to that decision?
  6. This is about as backwards of a take as I’ve ever seen. If anything, WRs are the new QBs. Their value is skyrocketing.
  7. Question of the day: What is a WR1 and WR2? Just for reference, there are 32 teams in the NFL. 34 WRs had 800 or more yards last season. 54 WRs had 600 yards. 27 WRs had more than 5 TDs. The WR with the 64th most yards had 525. The WR with the 64th most TDs had 3. With that said, what is a reasonable expectation for a WR1 and WR2?
  8. He’s not going to take up that much of the cap. His average salary is 20.7% of the cap, but the cap keeps going up so that percentage will decreased substantially over the lifetime of the contract.
  9. It is true, as I used the qualifier “as of June 1st”. Also, the post literally started with the words “fun fact” and not “crucial data point”. That said, it does speak to the misconception that many have regarding how easy it is to find premium pass rushers. They are very rare commodities.
  10. Fun fact: On June 1st, GR will have more career sacks than any player in the NFL under 25 years old other than Aiden Hutchinson.
  11. He does have a knack for making incredibly awkward looking but effective plays in the clutch. I’ll give him that much. He’s a very poor man’s Gabe Davis.
  12. Exactly 1000 yards would have ranked 29th in the NFL last season in between Terry McLauren and Travis Kelce. Only 34 WRs had 800 or more yards.
  13. This isn’t accurate considering Diggs is $31.1 million by himself.
  14. One of us is way off, I’ll give you that much.
  15. He’s basing his actions on what he thinks the league office will decide. I’m guessing he winds up missing 6 games for the initial incident.
  16. Great. We’re splitting hairs here. Nobody put cuffs on him. He never took a ride in the back of a police car. He walked into the station on his own, went through the booking process, and walked out on his own. The legal definition of being in custody is “when, after being arrested or convicted of a crime, they are held in jail or prison”. https://www.legalmatch.com/law-library/article/police-custody-lawyers.html Again, we’re simply splitting hairs here. The point is that nothing from a legal standpoint related to tours incident is going to impact what happens on the field. The league office is the real concern. Now if the worst is true regarding the nightclub situation, that could be a different story.
  17. He went into the office on his own, completed the booking process, and left. He was never cuffed or confined. It happened exactly as I said it would. Pretty much everything I post here does.
  18. Two witnesses have said that he never touched the guy. Might be time to tap the brakes (hehe) a bit on this. Wouldn’t want another Araiza situation to occur.
  19. Burks played 443 snaps last season. Elam played 155 and only played defensive snaps in 2 games. I just don’t see any reason to consider Elam when making roster decisions when it’s clear that the team considers him to be such a liability that they would rather give up a second day pick to add an aging veteran to replace Elam than let him play for a meaningful amount of time.
  20. They just showed that they’d trade for a player instead of playing Elam. What difference does it make if his replacement is even worse when they won’t even see the field for a meaningful amount of time?
  21. If they wanted Coleman with that pick they would have taken him. Not sure why that’s hard to grasp.
  22. The entire premise and surrounding discussion of this thread is completely off base. There is no such thing as overpaying a player who produces superstar level production, and there is no problem that can’t be solved by drafting well. Every April provides a confessional for NFL GMs. There is no sin that cannot be atoned for. If you want to win in January, you have to win in April.
  23. So they clearly didn’t want Coleman either, right?
  24. What makes you say the Bills clearly didn’t want Worthy?
