  1. Weird list. The Jayhawks just won the national title two years ago.
  2. I stepped in some gum earlier today. I wonder if I could scrape it off my shoe and trade it for a third round pick.
  3. Is your expectation that the Bills won’t have injuries in the future but other teams will?
  4. Are they, though? There are 32 teams in the NFL. The WR with the 64th highest yardage total last year had 540 yards. Everyone seems to think that an average WR2 has 900 yards, but that’s just not the case. In reality, there were fewer than 32 WRs who reached that mark.
  5. Why would the value be at RB? There was literally one RB in the league last year that really mattered. The next 10 best were effectively indistinguishable from one another.
  6. Kind of. There’s only one pick every 10 minutes in the first round, so it’s about 1 minute of action followed by 9 minutes of milling around. Then by day 3, the picks are just flying by and nobody really cares until it’s their own team. If you were in the seats of a stadium, it would be nonstop people getting in and out of the aisles. It’s an event much better suited for a festive style layout than a sporting event. That doesn’t even get into the issue of having controlled entry points for 200,000 people.
  7. It would have to be. Doing it inside the stadium would be a disaster. It’s not the type of event that lends itself to sitting in one place.
  8. They were all California kids who grew up in wealthy areas, went to elite High Schools, and were groomed since adolescence to be the next big thing. Look at Matt Leinart and Mark Sanchez’s careers since they left USC. Both were terrible in the pros but went on to get gigs in the studios because they had the looks and the pedigrees.
  9. I actually agree with you, but you’ve got to understand that the move will be judged entirely with the benefit of hindsight in the event that Josh gets injured. If I were designing the organizational philosophy, it would involve having Josh run around like a madman until he either gets injured or wins a title. Would it shorten his career? Probably, but that’s a price I’d be willing to pay in order to bring a parade to WNY.
  10. So you’re in favor of designing an offense to give Josh 150+ carries in the regular season?
  11. Sure, but there were approximately 0 people fitting him for a green jacket after his first actual season despite 862 yards and 5 TDs. If Kincaid hits those numbers next season, and he might, that’s a fantastic second year. Those still aren’t on par with #1 target numbers, though. Short of being Gronk, you’d be hard pressed to find a TE who put up monster numbers their second year. That’s not a swipe in any way at Kincaid. It’s simply the reality of the position.
  12. It’s certainly reasonable to expect that he’ll continue to improve, but to your point, it’s unlikely to be exponential. Yes he was a rookie, but he was also 24 years old and likely closer to his ceiling than most. There were 15 players last season who are younger than him who had more yards than he did. To put it into a bit of perspective, he is either older than or less than 6 months younger than guys like CeeDee, Justin Jefferson, Gabe Davis, Amon-Ra, Nico, Kyle Pitts, Jerry Jeudy, and a ton of other players who seem like they’ve been in the league for a long time. By the time Gronkowski was the same age that Kincaid is now, he had 44 career TDs compared to 2 for DK. None of this is to say that Kincaid won’t be a star in this league, but expecting him to be in the HOF is just setting one’s self up for disappointment.
  13. “Just like”? Kelce was coming off a season where he was 3rd in catches, 8th in yards, and 2nd in TDs. Kincaid is coming off a season where he was 34th in catches, 56th in yards, and in a 46 way tie for 113th in TDs. Those are two very different scenarios. I like Kincaid and think he’s going to be a good player in the league for a long time, but it’s probably wise to pump the brakes on putting him in the HOF just yet. If he increases his yardage total next year by 30%, that would give him 875 yards. That would have ranked him 39th overall and 7th among TEs just ahead of Trey McBride last year. If he increases it by 40%, he’d be at 942 yards which would have ranked 32nd overall or basically the minimum threshold for being a #1 target in the league.
  14. Rash was doling out personal pans. Larges are for when you beat up your pregnant baby mama. Only guys like Von and Tyreek have to stoop to that level.
  15. He always seems to be trying to guess the routes rather than play the receiver. As a result, he gets off balance easily when he guesses wrong. It’s also why he tends to grab. Every once in a while he guesses correctly and runs into an interception. Those are good results, but they aren’t necessarily indicative of good cornerback play.
  16. Nobody delivers more food to the needy than Rashee Rice. And the best part is you know the pizzas were still piping hot.
  17. Rice is the early favorite for the Walter Payton MOTY Award.
  18. Don’t know about the identity, but I expect there to be a striking increase in team speed. The defense looked noticeably old and slow last year. More than ever, this is a young man’s game particularly on defense.
  19. Two chicks at the same time.
  20. That may be, but 900 yards, 7 TDs, and a record breaking postseason qualifies as being a difference maker. Whether or not he can extract his head from his ass is a different story, but he’s Brandon Aiyuk on the field. The narrative I was discounting is basically “if the Chiefs drafted a WR, he’s probably going to bust”. Rice was a WR1 as a rookie, and Vegas pegs Worthy as being a solid WR2 out of the gate (though I would take the under on 800 yards of I had to pick a side).
