This is a terribly misinformed take. He's generally regarded as one of best WRs in the game at getting yards after the catch. He had 141 in a single game this year which was the highest total in a decade. People forget how young he still is as well. He's actually younger than Cooper Kupp. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/curtisrush/2020/02/03/super-bowl-star-sammy-watkins-is-a-reminder-of-what-the-buffalo-bills-once-had-and-gave-up/amp/

There's no such thing as trying to get out of a contract. It wasn't guaranteed, so they will just cut him off that's what they want. I'm literally watching the Super Bowl parade broadcast live from Kansas City as I type this. If they're disappointed about signing him, they're putting on a very good poker face.

How fast is Josh Allen and can he get faster?
Billl replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mahomes and Allen are similar runners. Josh would be well advised to watch Pat play and adopt some of his tendencies suc as keeping his eyes downfield when breaking contain, ball security, and getting OOB or sliding unless it’s absolutely necessary (like a TD right before halftime in the AFCCG). Taking hits to gain an additional 4 yards of field position simply isn’t a worthwhile trade. -
There’s a really good chance that this happens. Usually receivers who have put up 400 yards of offense in the past 2 seasons of postseason play get benched in the Super Bowl. Why would Andy Reid want to utilize the guy who has been literally the most productive postseason receiver in the league in the biggest game of the year, right?

How is a jump ball “on the money”? By your definition, every Hail Mary is on the money. Just because someone is capable of throwing a flutterball high enough in the air that a receiver (and multiple defenders) can camp out under it doesn’t mean the pass was good. It was a bad throw and a worse decision. DiMarco didn’t catch a single pass beyond the LOS all season. He’s not Randy Moss. He’s a blocking fullback. That play was 100% on Josh. It boggles the mind that people can watch Tom Brady win 75 straight games against the Bills precisely because he doesn’t make stupid decisions and still think that JA was playing winning football. The Texans defense is garbage. The Chiefs scored 51 points in a 36 minute stretch the following week. There is absolutely no way the Texans should have won that game. It was like both teams were trying to give the game away, and Buffalo found a way to get it done. If New England runs that play 100 times, Brady makes the jump ball throw to the fullback exactly 0 times. He either hits Brown as he comes out of his break (the correct read) or he checks it down to Singletary (who is one missed open field tackle away from a huge gain). That was a well designed play that turned into a clown show. There is no doubt that JA has all the physical tools to be great, but he doesn’t have the mental part figured out yet. He may get there, and if he does, people will look back at games like this and be embarrassed by the fact that they blamed the loss on things like fullbacks not catching jump balls 40 yards downfield while sandwiched between two defensive backs.

Playoff #1 Bills @ Texans PostGame Thread
Billl replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s a four man rush. Just because Watt was literally quadruple teamed doesn’t mean he wasn’t rushing. And Allen absolutely could have thrown it away. He could have literally spiked it into the ground, as Singletary was an eligible receiver. He did the second worst thing he could have done by running straight backwards and out of FG range. The worst thing he could have done was randomly throw the ball backwards. -

For everyone who thinks Singletary needs a lot more snaps, watch this on a loop. Josh HAS to get rid of that ball, but DS crapped his pants there. (And Matt Parrino needs some help counting to four.) -
So what inaccurate QBs have high completion percentages? What other accurate passers but finished dead last in the league in completion percentage in consecutive seasons?

PFF's Big Board (I know I know, but hear me out)
Billl replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jeudy reminds me a lot of Antonio Brown. He just gets open. Lamb is a tougher comp. Percy Harvin is probably the closest for me. Maybe a Tyreek Hill but without as much speed. I’ll be really interested to see his 40 time. -
https://www.nflfullhd.com/23536-2/ 4:52 in the first quarter he throws the ball for an easy pick 6 that was dropped 14:15 in the fourth, he carries the ball loosely and it falls out of his hand after barely being touched 2:00 in the fourth he takes a 14 yard sack to get knocked out of FG range 1:45 he takes a 22 yard sack by running backwards for no reason 1:08 he laterals the ball wildly for no reason (maybe the dumbest play I’ve ever seen in a critical moment) 0:39 he hits the DB in the chest again and it’s dropped :12 he throws the ball away, but it’s nearly intercepted 12:40 in OT he throws a jump ball to his fullback who is double covered

If he doesn’t have the speed to separate, I just don’t see how he gets open on Sundays. He’s a below average route runner, so it’s not like he can rely on technique to get free. He’s a special athlete who can big brother lesser players in college, but NFL corners are all great athletes. It’s great when a receiver can go up and high point a contested throw, but I’d prefer someone who can just get open. Relying on making contested catches is a losing strategy. Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson could do that, but they could also run right by DBs. -
Are you really trying to make the case that Singletary with 7 yards of space is a worse option than throwing a 50 yard flutterball to a Fullback who is double covered? I’m pretty sure Allen yelled “500” before throwing that ball. I watched the replay of this game again yesterday. Allen made several excellent plays, but he made an egregious amount of awful decisions. Watching Allen play QB is like watching a golfer crush a 300 yard drive and sink a 30 foot putt on a hole but also put his approach into the water twice. The Texans dropped two gimme interceptions, had good opportunities for two more. Between those, the fumble that the Texans recovered, and the insane lateral that got swatted out of bounds, it’s kind of amazing the game was as close as it was.

LeSean McCoy wants to retire an Eagle
Billl replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5 TDs and 650 yards of offense isn’t nothing. What’s with the hate for Shady around here? He was the best player on the Bills in the decade, and he was clearly better than Gore this year. 4.6 ypc vs 3.6 for Gore. 5 TDs to 2. Why wouldn’t he be upset that the team cut him for a washed up Frank Gore? Shady didn’t have a ton left in the tank, but Gore has no business being on an NFL roster. -
Have you not heard the recording where the chick basically admits that she lied about both incidents? The Chiefs cut Kareem Hunt for 1% of what Hill was accused of. Hill is a dumbass for staying with her, but he’s not a monster.

Chargers moving on from Philip Rivers after 16 years
Billl replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady will go to the Chargers. Rivers will go to Tennessee or Tampa. Tennessee would be the smarter play, as I don’t see a closer comp in the league to Rivers than Winston. Bridgewater or Dalton would be solid fits in Tampa. -
Singletary is talented, but I don’t think the intent is to ever use him as a workhorse. He’s perfect for his role. Doesn’t have the size to take 20 carries a game while blocking in the passing game consistently. Someone like Carlos Hyde would be a good pickup to replace Gore. Kareem Hunt would have been perfect if he had his head on straight. Of course if he did, he’d be playing in the Super Bowl.

Reid did him a solid. If that trade doesn’t go down, McD drafts Lattimore. It’s a perfectly good pick, and McD still has to listen to the MMQBs complain that Mahomes went one pick later. Instead, he got an arguably better player at the same position, added a third round pick that year and a first round pick the following year. The Bills pulled of one of the three best drafts that year. Possibly the second best depending on how the rest of Watson’s career goes.

What long snappers are we letting in?

Wonderlic scores mean dick. Lamar Jackson scored a 13. That doesn’t make him stupid. Ray Lewis also got a 13, Eddie George got a 14, and Randy Moss scored a 12. All three of them have had successful careers in broadcasting post retirement and are clearly bright, charismatic people. Donovan McNabb scored a 14, and he ran Andy Reid’s offense successfully for a decade. His 13 on the Wonderlic matters about as much as his 2 on the Precision Passing contest...0.
