  1. Brown and Beasley have more room to improve than Hill and Hardman because Diggs is better than Watkins. Got it. That makes perfect sense. Sorry I didn’t catch on more quickly.
  2. A slot receiver is not a wide receiver any more than a full back is a tail back. Wide Receivers line up out wide and on the LOS. Slot receivers line up in the slot and off the LOS. TEs line up on the end of the line. Pretty simple stuff, but if being pedantic is your thing then you may as well go all in with it.
  3. Why get 10 TDs when you can have 2?
  4. Don’t worry. As soon as he signs, the entire board will suddenly decide he’s great.
  5. What a weird comparison... Rivers and Brady are going to make $50,000,000 combined as starters on playoff contenders next season. Matt Barkley has been in the league since 2013 and has 2 wins in his career. He’s barely played, and when he has he’s thrown more than twice as many INTs as TDs. He’s the NFL equivalent of a white flag.
  6. Hardman was a rookie who started 5 games last year when Hill was hurt, and Tyreek was a RB in college 5 years ago. Hardman turned 22 last week, and Tyreek turned 26 the week before that. Brown and Beasley have a combined 14 years of experience in the NFL and will turn 30 and 31 years old next month. How in the world do you come to the conclusion that Brown and Beasley have more room to grow than Hardman and Hill?
  7. Funny how the same people who want to split hairs and say that Tight Ends who line up in the slot and split out wide at times shouldn’t count as WRs want to include slot receivers as WRs. If you only want to include bonafide Wide Receivers in the conversation, then you can’t include anyone who doesn’t line up on the LOS.
  8. Why is everyone on this board so against having a competent backfield? Singletary is a nice piece, but he’s got some huge flaws. He doesn’t have the size to be an every down back, he fumbled 4 times on only 180 touches, and he doesn’t have the speed to house it when he gets a crease. Yards per carry is an over-valued stat, especially for a guy getting only 150 carries on the season. Yards between the 20 yard lines are cheap in today’s NFL. A RB who isn’t a true workhorse needs to be able to score. If the line can get a back to the secondary, 20 yards of field position isn’t enough, especially when you don’t have a back who can pound it in during goal line situations. Singletary isn’t that guy. Hell, Gore hasn’t been that guy for years for that matter. The result is that the team had to rely on Allen and his legs to rush for scores, and that’s not a long term recipe for success. Gordon can change the scoreboard. That’s far more important than a couple of tenths of a yard per carry. Two yard TD runs don’t help your average, but they win games and keep QBs from taking hits. I can 100% guarantee you that you’re not going to have a team play in the Super Bowl that only has 4 rushing TDs from RBs all season long. A guy like Gordon will help both Allen and Singletary play to their strengths.
  9. He’s turned the ball over 3 times in the last 3 years out of 771 touches.
  10. Going to be tough to sign Tannehill after the Titans just gave him a huge deal a week ago.
  11. Burrow Tua Herbert Love ALLEN Gordon Eason
  12. He fumbled a lot his rookie season. Since then he averages 2 fumbles a season over the past four years. During that span, he has played 53 games and averages 100 yards of offense per game and scored 47 TDs. He’s a remarkably consistent player who can run, catch, and block. A team in win now mode needs that.
  13. Even that seems extremely conservative. That’s easily a top 10 cast of skill position players. 3,760 yards passing would put him below what Mayfield did this year.
  14. Gordon has 1716 carries between college and the pros. Henry has 1524. That’s not a huge difference by any stretch.
  15. He’s 26 and has fewer than 350 carries in the past two seasons combined. Derrick Henry is the same age and had more carries than that just this season.
  16. We don't really know that yet, but even if it turns out that he is the calculus doesn't change. If Allen busts, then it doesn't matter what other moves are made around him because they aren't winning anything. If he's legit, this team should be able to change the scoreboard. JA is entering his make or break season, as extension talk begins in 10 months. To date, there is substantial disagreement around whether his lack of production has been his own fault or a reflection of the talent around him (or lack thereof). He now has ample support. There are no excuses anymore. If nothing else, McBeane won't have to make a $100,000,000 decision with incomplete information.
  17. It costs what it costs. Bills fans are going to need to adjust to the new paradigm that is 'win now mode'. This team should be a top 5 AFC team easily next year and likely top 3 now that Houston has imploded. Enjoy the ride and don't worry about the cost. You'll cross that bridge when it comes.
  18. Tyreek was a fifth round pick. This trade reminds me of the 2017 draft. McDermott made a solid trade to pick up a third and next year's first from Kansas City and still managed to draft an all pro CB yet people complain because another team landed an even bigger prize. Diggs is a really good player, and the Bills are a better team in 2020 because of the trade. The Cardinals got an even better player for considerably lower compensation. Both of these things can be true. Bill O'Brien is having a manic episode. One team was able to capitalize on that. Doesn't mean every WR in the league is available at fire sale prices.
  19. The hell he wasn't. Dude had 3357 yards from scrimmage and 20 TDs in 2016. That's one of the best seasons in history.
  20. People keep saying this, but that's a tie breaker when two offers are very close. You don't turn down a huge haul like what Minnesota received in favor of the scraps the Texans received just to spite a team that isn't even in your own division.
  21. There is a better chance of Mahomes backing up Barkley than Kittle coming to Buffalo.
  22. Getting 6 feet of separation is more valuable by orders of magnitude than having a few inches of height.
  23. Exactly. This is a good move for both sides.
  24. Zero chance Houston turned down that offer in favor of what they got from Arizona. It’s twice the price.
  25. I don’t want to be the team that feels the need to spend $6,000,000 on a backup QB.
