  1. Wow This team appears to not be ready to play against these guys
  2. Home team typically gets a 3 point advantage on betting lines, so being less than that means we are getting some respect from the house
  3. It's so weird that the team seems to operate more efficiently and as more of a team when it's just a bunch of guys willing to do whatever is required and everyone is involved as opposed to one guy making sure he's getting the lion's share of the work and doesn't care about what's best for the team as a whole
  4. My problem is they threw the flag late It makes it appear as if they wouldn't have called it if it doesn't end the game
  5. This reads as a straight up hater comment We barely threw the ball and dominated the game Have a seat, my guy
  6. Painfully obvious
  7. At their current rate, they will price out a large group of their fans in the next 5-10 years Greed ruins everything
  8. Only losing franchises give up valuable draft picks and pay handsomely for that player by giving them a big, new contract. We have a franchise QB that will soon be making 60+ mil per year. You have to build through the draft to have good players under cost control You'll get a shiny, new toy next offseason
  9. I would drop Toohill and claim Brown
  10. Alot of it is going to come down to coaching to me The Jets have alot of talent on both sides of the ball, and if Rodgers can play at a high level, then they are a problem for anyone I do think McDermott is a better coach than Saleh, but I don't think much of that meathead so it's not a ringing endorsement for McD
  11. It's a pretty big red flag when a division rival trades with you Dotson is a PSU guy, which is why Philly thinks he might be worth taking a shot on A small, speed receiver that hasn't really stayed healthy or all that productive? Isn't this basically KJ Hamler?
  12. I am just as interested as the past few seasons My expectations are a bit lower, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since they always fail to meet my expectations because they have been so high I am excited to see Josh Allen lead this team and to see if he can run a successful offense with the receiving group he has
  13. The fact that you keep making my point for me and that my original point is still lost on you is really something Yes, the KC offense has still been good enough to not just win, but to win it all despite getting rid of a top flight WR in Tyreek Hill and replacing him with average wideouts speaks to the value of a great offensive scheme and a QB that operates it to perfection. Sure, they have Kelce, but we have Kincaid. They replaced Hill with JAGS and drafted some guys...we did the same. And you can try to say Rice was more accomplished than Keon, but it's nowhere near an apples to apples comparison. Different offense in different conferences means something. We could've drafted another wideout, but that's nowhere near a guarantee that he pans out (see Skyy Moore). We signed Samuel, who will likely be more productive than any second or third rounder we would've picked. We have basically copied what KC has done by drafting a pass catching TE and let our overpaid headache walk and replaced with draft picks and middling aqusitions via free agency. All the pearl clutching and belly aching is silly until we see how Josh does with this group in this offense
  14. And he was considered a average prospect when he came to KC What says Keon couldn't do the same, and who says Mahomes and the KC system isn't a huge reason for his success? I think you missed the point here, my guy
  15. My point was more that great QB's can win and have a successful offense with a group of mediocre receivers. It's more about the QB and the system than the receiving talent. It's why KC let Tyreek walk, and why Brady never had big time receivers that were making top dollar.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Mahomes win a SB last season with basically nothing at WR? Brady did the same. Great QB's have made the receivers...not the other way around. The jury is obviously still out, but I personally want to see Josh with a group of lesser talented guys that play hard and do things the right way so that Josh and the system can operate as intended. Now it could fail spectacularly and I will be regretting what we didn't do, but the fact is that we didn't have cap space and Diggs/Davis wasn't a good fit anymore. They brought guys in that had experience and at least a modicum of success in Samuel, Holllins, Claypool, and MVS. Should they have drafted another receiver in the draft? Probably. Would that have made a significant difference? Consider my highly skeptical on that one. This year we find out how good Josh can make a group of receivers without proven pedigrees...just like many greats have done before him. If it doesn't work, this organization is set up with draft capital and cap space to remedy it. I suggest accepting what many expected this season to be at the end of last season...a reset of the cap so we can make a run after this upcoming season. If we exceed expectations, consider it a bonus.
  17. Maybe you should wait till a real game is played and you see that the passing offense is a problem before you try to make an "I told you so" post?
  18. It's going to come down to how we fair against Miami and the Jets Whoever has the worst combined record in the division against each other is going to be out IMO
  19. I'm absolutely fine with Keon making a business decision in a meaningless preseason game I'll have a different take if he does that in the regular season, but it wasn't worth it in this particular instance.
  20. That would be a massive failure on the part of this team's staff if they didn't recognize this and moved to fix the issue I personally think you're being overly pessimistic, but who really knows
  21. Dumb decision by Miami Without Hill, Waddle would struggle to be a number one receiver IMHO He's being paid as that, and with Hill clearly being the guy...I imagine it's only a matter of time before he makes noise about a pay raise himself
  22. Not even close to getting that ninth pick, my guy Next year's first and second with the 1st and 2nd from this year's and maybe you are in the ballpark
  23. That doesn't get you anywhere near the ninth pick, so you could sign up all day and all night for it and it would never come to fruition
  24. I think this is part of the issue. It's like people are playing Madden and they are upset because our best WR is an 81 and most teams have a 88 or better. The real question and possible problem will be is there a guy we can go to when we need a play? Is that guy even on the roster? Is there maybe more than one? I think Coleman was drafted to be able to win jump balls and make contested catches, but can someone else be counted on when we have to have a first down? I won't debate whether most teams have a stronger WR group at the top, but what about all around depth? Do they have a mixture of size, speed, blocking, slot guys, etc? There's also so many different factors like the coordinator, the system, the guy throwing the ball, the Oline, the RB's I trust that these guys have a plan, and hopefully it's not a McDermott plan when it comes to the offense because he has no business on that side of the ball
