  1. Talent wise I'd rather pay Trent Williams then Dawkins, but he is already integrated into the offense and is younger, plus you don't have to surrender draft compensation. A straight up swap between the two is interesting though...
  2. I live in the Philly area and Dillard had issues in camp where he kinda went after a veteran player where it was reported as a dirty move by him. I think the reasoning was told as he did not handle the physicality and hard play well and kind of lost it a bit. Didn't hear anything else after that. As for Alshon...the guy was causing issues with the QB and has appeared to have lost at least a step. I'd be very cautious about acquiring either player, and I'm a hard no on Jeffrey.
  3. Hell to the no on Amari Cooper for a number of reasons
  4. Fair points. I suppose if the team is in the perfect position (meaning salary cap wise and being a contender) and the player is going to live up to the contract he gets then it may be worth it. He must be a vital piece on a team that makes a deep playoff run for it to payoff in my eyes. I personally do not see Ngakoue as that guy, but it's within the realm of possibility. No doubt it's a position of need and that the position is hard to find elite talent.
  5. We'll see how it works long term as both those teams are now in difficult cap situations. Not having a high round pick certainly won't help if they have to make tough decisions.
  6. I agree. It's one thing to pay a guy or ro trade for a good contract. To give up a high pick and pay top money is what bad organizations do.
  7. Watch out for a trade should we fill our need for a pass rusher in free agency. They'll have to jump Oakland if they want Jeudy, and Lamb won't be on the board within a few picks after that.
  8. I think he's done and not a process guy, so it's a hard no for me. If cut on a one year prove it deal I could live with it, but trading for that contract is insane being he appears done and the Eagles will most likely cut him.
  9. There was no reason for Green to come back to a dumpster fire last season and risk injury when he was gonna be a free agent. I don't see any problem with how he handled things
  10. I've heard enough. Wouldn't touch this guy at all
  11. I hope Green makes it known that he will not play under the tag and that they need to trade him if they won't pay him. He's the perfect fit for this team if he's past the injuries, which I imagine so since he basically sat out to preserve his health.
  12. I'm hoping Ruggs is overvalued and taken before Cedee Lamb. That's the guy I'd rather have, so better chance if Ruggs goes before him.
  13. People went nuts because it was a MAJOR weakness in his game that was hurting his overall ability to play the position at a high level. Also a reason why he'll be riding the pine everywhere except for us where that buffoon Rex Ryan thought he was smarter than everyone else. Allen's issue isn't at the level that it prevents him from playing at a high level, but it's an area of weakness that would result in his overall game becoming stronger should he improve at it. With Allen I expect and believe in him improving every year. All signs/indications point towards that, so to me I'm really not concerned.
  14. This kid did enough to make himself a first rounder yesterday. Not saying he'd be a great pick at 22, but If the Bills like him he's not gonna be there come round two.
  15. I wouldn't be thrilled with it because he's not an upper echelon LT, but he is very solid. I would begrudgingly do it because he's been a team player, doesn't get hurt, and can do his job at a high level and already is accustomed to playing with Allen and others on the line. I wouldn't want to create a hole at a critical position. It's not easy getting a good LT, and he is good. Would love for him to take a bit of a discount knowing that he does have limitations.
  16. There's a bunch of reasons why I want no part of Amari Cooper in Buffalo. A number have already been said, but i would like to elaborate. It's not just the cold weather thing...his numbers were pretty bad away from the comforts of his home stadium which is a dome BTW. He looked like he didn't even want to be on the field in a number of those games (Philly and NE). I personally believe that he's soft as far as NFL wideouts are concerned, and his pricetag is gonna be that of a top guy that can be counted on week in and week out. He is not that guy in my book. And he did have major drop issues in Oakland. Yeah...he was better in Dallas, but again...alot of that production came in good weather/dome in Dallas. There's alot of signs that the guy would be a major disappointment if he came to Buffalo on a huge deal. Not to mention he's already pretty much said he doesn't wanna play in a colder climate. AJ Green would be a much better guy to take a shot on if available. He's had a full season of not taking the punishment of the game, and he has been a stud playing in Buffalo type weather for years. He's bigger, faster, and has better hands. The only knock is injury, but you can't predict that stuff. Draft a guy and get AJ Green.
  17. People that often claim to know are usually the ones that really don't know...
  18. I'm not sure. I guess it ultimately comes down to what the GM believes philosophically. I see the logic behind what you're saying, but I'm not necessarily sure that myself or Beane subscribe to that.
  19. We have the 22nd pick. It all depends what positions are selected up to that point that determines what the best value will be. You cannot say a certain position is not worthy of a first round pick until you see what players are left on the board when it's selection time. It may very well play out that a Guard or a RT is the best pick at that point. Making definitive statements about only certain positions being good choices doesn't strike me as a very good philosophy/approach, especially when you are slotted to pick mid to late in the draft.
  20. If Cincy likes Tua and doesn't feel like there's much of a difference between the two, then they should absolutely fleece Miami. It would certainly help us too, so I'm rooting for it.
  21. Not the worst idea if we can get assets and it gives us a 1/2 punch with Singletary while he's cheap. I obviously don't trust Gurley to be healthy or effective, but having the cap space it could be worth the shot.
  22. He took shots at Wentz through Josina Anderson (anonymously), and the Eagles simply didn't want him on the field because of his attitude and declining skills. Not a process guy, and is nowhere near worth his contract. Look elsewhere Very good chance he's cut FYI
  23. Don't want him anyway. Price is too high on a 240 LB DE. Move on to other options
  24. This should be a slam dunk with the Carolina connection if he actually wants to play in a reduced role helping a young TE group that's up and coming on a good team. Make the money right and get him in here
