  1. So you're not fully invested at this point???
  2. How dumb are the Jags to not take the 19th pick for this guy? I'd consider that a huge win given his contract demands and unwillingness to play for them. Fools
  3. So I read the article, and I also read the Q and A with Kim. Seems like the writer is looking to bash them from the way it's written. There's some stuff that doesn't look good, for sure. I've always hated the nepotism garbage, but it's pretty much SOP for these big companies. Bottom line for me is don't let it affect our Bills! Hopefully they learn from the mistakes like Kim claims...they get their house in order, and this fades away once the country gets back to business as usual.
  4. Part of me agrees with this. I believe in Allen, and I think he would be even more motivated (if possible) to seperate himself from the other guy...whoever that may be. I think we are doing this team a disservice by not having a backup that can win games and possibly push the starter. This team is too good and too deep to be let down by the QB position.
  5. In McDermott's system, I believe it's easier to find corners that can play their part in a zone based scheme. That being said, Tre White has above average ball skills and instincts, and is also solid playing man. He's a valuable piece, but I could see the argument being made to eventually move on from him at a certain price with a replacement being groomed.
  6. And this is where I truly question his value in this scheme. Remember McD also had Norman who was shut down in Carolina, and they let him walk cause they didn't value him at the money he was seeking. Tre is great, and has great ball skills. With that said, I wonder if Beane and McDermott do not see his value as high as others here do, and that they may eventually let him go. Just something I've thought about...
  7. I'd honestly rather have Brown than Cooks at this point considering the money and injury conerns.
  8. If Tre White decides he needs to go somewhere else (I don't believe this FTR), then he doesn't buy I'm here and fit the culture, so I would shop him in that case. Not that I want that, but if he really wanted to go somewhere else and further his career, I would understand.
  9. Boy...this JaCrispy guy is always in on Allen threads being a downer. What's up with that, my dude????
  10. I agree that I don't see a ton of hate on these boards in regards to Allen. What I do see is a ton of hate by media...particularly ESPN. It's fine to have doubts still, and I can understand why some would. He shows inaccuracy at times, and his deep ball wasn't very good. Those are things that will draw criticism and rightfully so. But I look at it from the perspective that he wasn't in a good college program...as evidenced by his first season with Bills compared to his second season. What we saw was clear evidence that a solid coaching staff can help him make major strides. So with that in mind, and the belief that improvement should continue...especially with upgrades to his line and receivers, let's look at the other parts of his game like his toughness and running ability. He's a serious goal line and short yardage weapon. He's a leader on and off the field, and he is determined to work to improve his game. So while some see the flaws and hold onto the narrative that was given to him coming into the league, I see a kid that should only get better and that has given me no reason to believe he will not continue to get better and lead this team to a championship.
  11. Lots of them? Not a chance, my friend.
  12. There's also sentiment out there that Hopkins is losing a step and his practice habits are less than ideal, while Diggs is an extremely hard worker. Just what I've seen reported...
  13. It's only a matter of when, not if with this guy. Not a big fan of bringing in oft injured players, but we'll see what we get from him...
  14. Deep balls are the one pass that I'm ok with Josh leaving up enough for both the WR and the DB to make a play on it. It's basically a punt if the DB gets it, but it's huge if our guy comes up with it. If Allen was throwing the deep ball with the intention of defenders not having a chance to make a play on it, then I think that's the wrong way to look at it. Give your guy a chance. If the defender is somehow able to make a play on it, oh well.
  15. Also don't ignore the Miami life becoming the undoing of a career
  16. I understand where this post is coming from, and I also have some reservations about this signing. I also see the possible positives. I think they are gonna show them what they did with Phillip's and tell him they can get the best out of him as well. He has the tools, and they had a chance to evaluate him his rookie season, so they must like him as a fit for what they wanna do. Now I also see another Carolina defensive linemen getting paid more than what he appears to have shown he deserves, and he was a bust in Carolina...that is a concern. I am choosing to believe in McDermott, Beane, and our Dline coach that they will get him to play to his potential, but it could definitely be another Star situation where he doesn't live up to his contract.
  17. I think getting Hopkins or Diggs would've made his decision a bit tougher, but I don't necessarily think it would've got him to stay there.
  18. This dude is cooked. Let him mail it in on someone else's dime
  19. He's rumored to be getting offers less than 5, so no worries
