Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Postgame thread
BeastMaster replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott has made so many bad calls these last two games that I've lost count. Going for the tie after that comeback in their building was another terrible decision. He's simply a guy that is not good when it comes down to these things, and that's a problem -

This is the just happy to be here attitude that will never get you to the ultimate goal. I reject everything about your post because it's a loser mentality -

Definitely inexcusable to bail out Evans after Diggs got screwed not once, but twice. Garbage, but not surprising in the least -

Did Sean go too far calling out Mckenzie?
BeastMaster replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
He did a great job last season, no doubt. However, this doesn't somehow exempt him from not meeting expectations this season. You have to look at things in totality, and what we have seen this season is troubling to many of us. He'll obviously be safe going into next season...and I can't really criticize that. He's earned a mulligan for a season in the eyes of many...that's fine. But he better start turning in some better performances and showing he belongs in the category of perennial playoff coaches that don't get bullied and embarrassed on multiple occasions every season, or his seat will heat up. Bills fans can't and shouldn't have anything but championship expectations with this team, full stop. And no worries about a response...my heart will go on in any event...somehow. -

If he goes nowhere, then this team will follow suit. For some strange reason, I don't find any of it all that funny But take up for the coach that has pushed every wrong button this season if you wish -
Forget improving run defense through the draft …
BeastMaster replied to Juror#8's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing I would really do on the Dline is draft a 1 tech...a real one. Maybe another DE somewhere if the value is there. Otherwise, I'm drafting at least one OG and a C that can push people around -
MYTH Busted: "The Defense couldn't stop the Run"
BeastMaster replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing I'll give the OP is that the offense could've bailed the defense out had they gotten a lead and put pressure on the Pats to have to throw the ball. If that would have happened, the defense would have gotten credited with a good game. -
MYTH Busted: "The Defense couldn't stop the Run"
BeastMaster replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Except that this was not the standard NFL game. You're starting from a flawed premise, which is leading you to a faulty conclusion. The Pats did what they set out to do, and the defense didn't stop them from doing it. -
And we have a thread here where the OP is touting the defense as doing their job and that them getting gashed is a MYTH LOL

MYTH Busted: "The Defense couldn't stop the Run"

This is called manipulating stats to show them what you want them to They did what they wanted to against us, by and large. It was their plan, and they executed it well enough to come out victorious. -
Looks like more proof that the coaching leaves much to be desired Let not forget that this staff had 11 days to prepare, and that it was they put out there. Very disappointing

Not News - This roster just isn't good enough.
BeastMaster replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I sure as hell had my doubts on both sides of the line. I was sure they would at least draft a space eater on D, and I wanted an upgrade at LG. I was ok with the drafting of Moss, and I still think our backs could do well if we were stronger up front. I have also not been a huge fan of the coach. I liked the culture he instilled, but his GameDay decisions have always been lacking to me. My fears were never put to rest, and now they are coming to fruition. -
Tired of teams "stealing" wins from us
BeastMaster replied to BeastMaster's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's my point. We don't have stout run defenders and are soft on both lines. The talent is there with a the QB and receivers. Same with the secondary and Milano/Edmunds (when he's playing smart). Talented, but soft. Coaching is lacking also. -
Tired of teams "stealing" wins from us
BeastMaster replied to BeastMaster's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were horrible. They were ZERO threat to do anything but run the ball, and they pummeled us with it. I guess that makes us even worse. They couldn't stop our passing game in the windiest conditions...yet we failed 11 out of 12 tries in the red zone. We had chances, but poor coaching decisions left us screwed at the end of the game with only one timeout. It's quite something when you watch a team that had no business winning actually win. Where do you place the blame? -
It's a major weakness and a fatal flaw when they aren't up and in a position where the team can't get back in it with the run game. These teams now know this for fact and smell the blood in the water. Expect teams to pound the rock and bully us from here on out

BeastMaster replied to BeastMaster's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you wanna say that, fine. Either way...it's unacceptable and there needs to be changes made. -
Bingo How are they gonna deal with Fournette running the ball and Mike Evans and Chris Godwin? These guys have little to no chance if Tampa plays the game they should
-
And it especially irked me watching Belicheat and company smirking and cackling that they stole another one from us in our building. We are the more talented team in every game. We lose because of one of three things. 1. Not enough wins on the line (O and D) 2. Mistakes and penalties (coaching) 3. One dimensional and red zone struggles This team needs to address these major issues, because it's killing one of the more talented rosters and one of the best QB's in the game.

[Edit] The Obligatory Edmunds Thread (was: Edmunds name-only title)
BeastMaster replied to beacon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds is a rockhead. Not captain of the defense material. Give him a task or two and let him utilize his athletic abilities. Asking him to call the defense and diagnose is what's making him look bad. -
