You are making my point for me. Despite controlling the game and severely outgaining our opponent in terms of yatdage and TOP, he managed to somehow lose a game that would have been won had any one of those things been different. One may look at it as if that's something that's a credit to the players and coaching, but others may see it as an indictment on the coaching staff to execute better, or make better decisions that wouldn't have led to missed opportunities. If McD gets credit for when the players execute and are mistake free, then shouldn't he receive the blame when they don't execute and make mistakes?

So you want to claim him as a top tier coach because of culture? How much value do you put in that as opposed to actual decision-making and out doing your opposition? The best deliver in the biggest moments. He's done the opposite. You seem to view his constant GameDay mistakes and failures in big moments as the 10%, while I see it as something closer to 50/50. I don't subscribe to the theory that since he's so much better than what we've had that we can't say or think anything that paints him as anything less than irreplaceable. He's on track to be a Marty Schottenheimer coach...one that was a world beater in the regular season, but a dud in the playoffs. This postseason will go a long way in telling us who's closer to being right, and I hope it isn't me because all I wish is for the Bills to be the champs

You're the one that responded to my criticism by making a snide comment towards me...let's start there. Why is McD a top 5 coach? I disagree with that assertion, and one could argue that it's ridiculous. Of course the argument will be his results (W/L record), but there's no question he's had a top 5 roster since at least last season, and a top 3 QB. He's also gotten routinely out coached by the best ones. I understand the injuries and the situation they were in, but he made decisions that helped contribute to the loss...or at least his assistants did (which falls on him, too). I just tire of the constant defending and acting as if this man is above criticism. He's a good coach because of his approach, and his players like him by all accounts. The GameDay stuff is where he lacks and where he has let the team down. That's where I stand

Weak Keep on ball washing

Ball washing McD at this point is really odd. Not sure why people are still doing it...considering all the mistakes that have cost us not just games, but our chances to go to the big game. And, yes...I said mistakes. Just like the article says. Is the coach not responsible for those? Isn't his job to make sure everyone is prepared, and to not have or limit mistakes? I truly don't get it

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
BeastMaster replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he can't be good enough now...what makes you think there's any chance he's better in January? There's also the numerous failures these past few seasons as well If we make it to and win the Super Bowl...luck will have been on our side. It won't be due to the coach making the right decisions. -

Then neither will a Lombardi happen. -

I've been saying it for years...McD is not a championship caliber coach. I always hope he evolves, but I don't think it's gonna happen. One could argue we have missed at least one year of our championship window...possibly two. Will this organization be content with being a contender, or will they look to shake things up if they aren't meeting their ultimate goal? -

How confident are you going into tonight's game?
BeastMaster replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Rams are no powerhouse. I think they were lucky to get a Bengals team that really shouldn't have beat the Chiefs (due to us taking everything out of them the week prior). I can't see the Bills losing against them unless Donald wrecks the game. We are superior in nearly every level based on talent -

Well...that pretty much says it all, doesn't it? LOL -
Tre White to PUP list, out first 4 games
BeastMaster replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
A few thoughts... Tre day should only return when he's ready, full stop. Levi Wallace was simply JAG that has largely benefitted from our system and coaches that get the most out of DB's. Those wishing we kept him and payed a premium for mediocre play when we can get similar from a guy like Benford that we drafted even higher than Wallace aren't being very logical. We drafted Elam who based on his college play and physical talent should do as good, if not a better job. This is how McD and the organization operates when it comes to defensive backs. They will draft and coach up at a position they feel is their strength. A first round investment and a promising sixth rounder shows they dedicated resources to help strengthen that area of need. They also invested heavily on the D line so that hopefully they take pressure off of the linebackers and secondary by generating more pressures, hurries, and sacks. We also have probably the best safety tandem helping our corners behind them, and one of the better slot corners in Taron Johnson. This isn't the major concern some are making it to be. Tre will be a great piece to add to an already great defense Once he's ready. -
Matt Araiza accused of rape, served with a lawsuit.

I understand that the team did what it felt was necessary, and I do hope that the truth is found and that justice gets done. But I still can't help but wonder what it must be like for Araiza...especially if his only mistake was getting sexually involved with a 17 YO that may have been telling him and others there that she was 18. -

I hope the team is in contact with the league office right now seeing if they can have him put on the exempt list until more facts are gathered. This is the best case scenario by far -

I also think that I'm leaning towards this being the case. It also lends more credence to why the Bills are taking this on the chin right now in the media instead of just making the problem go away. They really think he just got lumped into this attack because he was at the house with her...not in it, and certainly not during the supposed attack. The timing of this suit...the fact that there's been no criminal charges...the claims of him and her being outside alone...it all says to me that they knew they had a possible payday with a pro athlete being involved with her beforehand, so they are trying to put him into the gang rape part to cash in. Now I could be totally wrong, but that's what I think from everything I've gathered since this came out -

Maybe Araiza didn't know either because he wasn't in that room where this took place? -

Well the team clearly doesn't see cutting him immediately as the "right thing" being he's still on the roster as of right now Your idea of whats right and theirs look to be two different things -

No...it's called putting out your side of the story since her lawyer put out a whole bunch of statements first...and many are very questionable on her lawyers part. Both lawyers have been operating questionable in the eyes of many. -

Stories? If the lawyer claims they have witnesses so will testify to her claiming to be eighteen, that's not "slut shaming". This is now reaching the point where I need not to respond to some of these posts -

Witnesses say she was saying it. That means reasonable doubt if they go the route of claiming he didn't know she was underage...which is certainly a possibility. -

But according to his lawyers investigators...she was telling people she was 18 YO. That changes things...but you can still go ahead and make bolded posts and be outraged if you like.
