  1. If this is true then no reason not to start 2-0. Got to win the home games especially if they want that #1 seed. I want (hope) all Bills playoffs games in OP this year except of course the Super Bowl.
  2. They have a lot of options for that opening game. Cowboys, 49ers, Cardinals, Raiders to choose from.
  3. As an Isles fan it was fun watching the Rangers get absolutely destroyed last night. Of course it also sucked that they let Trotz go. I don't know what Lou was thinking with that move.
  4. I would sign up for that. The 2nd game still should have been a WC game.
  5. For me a worst case/best case scenario for the Bills is 12-5 - 14-3. Anything less that 12 wins with this group would be disappointing assuming injuries don't play a factor.
  6. 1:00 starts are my favorite time as well.
  7. Just took at look at the Rams home schedule Seahawks - without Russell Wilson. I doubt this is the week 1 matchup. 49ers - possible as its a rematch of last years playoff game. Cardinals - possible for the same reason Panthers - no Falcons - no Cowboys - possible, Cowboys always bring strong ratings. Raiders - possible, Raiders are a good team who will get there share of primetime games. Broncos - possible. Russell Wilson with a strong Broncos team. Bills - possible. Josh Allen and the Bills are really good and a fun team to watch now. You cant rule out Bills at Rams for week 1 but as you can see their are plenty of other options the league can choose from for the opening game of the year.
  8. I was just being kind when I said 50%. Remember the 49ers - Rams playoff game last year. The place was a sea of red. It was embarrassing that the Rams were the road team in the own stadium for a playoff game. Bills Mafia would absolutely take over the stadium. It will be a sea of Bills blue when they play there.
  9. Football is so big now that nothing else compares to it. When it comes to sports in America there two opening days. 1. Football season. 2. Everything else.
  10. Why would they schedule a doubleheader with both games going on at the same time? The 2nd game should be a WC game.
  11. My guess is the Bills open on the road week 1. We have 8 home games and 9 road games this year. Plus we opened at home last year. Who knows. We will find out in a couple of days.
  12. I wonder if Bills at Rams is the opening night game. Would the league have the Bills first two games of the year on primetime? I know the Bills will get a lot of exposure on primetime but they will also play the majority of their games on Sunday afternoon. If they are playing on primetime in week 2 then maybe week 1 is Sunday afternoon.
  13. I like starting against the Jets. Its almost a guaranteed 1-0 start.
  14. Hopefully the Rams have a Super Bowl hangover week 1. I would like the Bills to play them early before they hit their stride. If this is the matchup it will embarrassing for the Rams to raise the banner when the crowd is 50-50 and maybe pro-Bills.
  15. Watch we open the season Sunday at 1:00 vs the Jets.
  16. (14) NFL Schedule leaks on Twitter: "Rumor: Patriots @ Jets Week 1 SNF" / Twitter Another rumor floating out there is this one. The game would be on 9/11 so I could see the league giving one of the NYC area teams the spotlight. The Pats did win 10 games last year and made the playoffs. You know they will be on primetime a few times this year. The Jets have received a lot of positive press for their moves this offseason. On paper they should be better. I do think they they will get a primetime game or two but I have a hard time believing it will be on SNF in week 1.
  17. One of the reasons I don't see the Bills opening at the Rams is because the NFL doesn't need a great game in this spot to draw ratings. Its the first game of the year after a long offseason. The ratings will be strong no matter what. I could see the league saving this game for later in the season on primetime. Also CBS is probably trying to convince the league to let them have this game as their national game of the week at 4:25. All of the networks would love to have this game. I always wondered who decides which network gets which games as far as primetime games and the national game on Sunday afternoons.
  18. I can't argue this as its a good point. We will find out in 6 days. Miami vs Buffalo would be another good bet. I wouldn't even be surprised if one of the Jets - Bills games gets on primetime. Even though they are coming off a 4-13 season they have made some nice moves to improve the team. Plus they are a NYC area big market team. There are a lot of possibilities on who the Bills will play in primetime.
  19. A better question for this thread would be... What championship would be more meaningful to the fans in WNY a Bills Super Bowl or Sabres Stanley Cup? Obviously both would be celebrated. As someone who isn't from WNY I can say the reputation of Buffalo sports from an outsider is this. People know Buffalo is a great hockey market and probably one of the strongest in the US but Buffalo is known as a football mad/crazed city. I would say most would say the Bills but again I am not from the area.
  20. When schedule comes out, Brandon Beane will look first at Week One In six days, the NFL will release the full 2022 schedule. During this week’s series of G.M. interviews, we posed a common question to the various executives with whom we spoke. When you see your team’s schedule, what will you look at first? Bills G.M. Brandon Beane didn’t hesitate “Week One,” he said. “Where does it start? Are you home or are you away? Is it Sunday at one? Is it a primetime start? Is it a division team? Those are always – our division’s gotten very competitive from the offseason moves those three teams have made. I always look at Week One. Where are our division games? And then the finish. Are we finishing with two on the road, two at home? What does it look like? What are our weather games potentially going to be? That’s kind of how I break it down. We’ll kind of see where it goes. We’re excited for what’s in store.” Does he prefer home or away to start the year? “I don’t really care too much,” Beane said. “You got to play them all. I’m fine to be honest with you. I’m fine either way. I just want to make sure we play well.” Last year, the Bills got started at home. And they lost to the Steelers. This year, all AFC teams have eight home games and nine road games. For the Bills, the more games that are played in Buffalo later in the year, the better.
  21. They are definitely getting some primetime games. Won 10 games and made the playoffs. This would be a rematch of the WC game. It may not be the opener but I definitely think one of the Bills vs Pats games is getting on primetime.
  22. My week 1 guess is Bills at Pats on SNF.
  23. It is a one time cost. With 2 seats and $5000 per seat for my PSL fee the Jets give options on how to pay it. Most people can't or won't ( myself included ) pay $10,000 in one shot. They do allow that to be paid over multiple years. The costs are to high for the average person. The Bills will do the same thing for their season ticket holders.
  24. Have they said what the PSL fees are yet? The Jets and Giants do have an advantage because of the corporate support from NYC. Some of the prices are crazy. My seats are lower level row 3 right behind the goalpost. If you are lower level on the 50 yard line the PSL fees are $25,000 per seat. Who can pay for that. You have to be wealthy or they are corporate seats. $25,000 per seat for a PSL fee is crazy but they do sell.
