Better pass rush and better against the run this year. I think they will do a better job against good offenses unlike last year. Their #1 ranking was a paper tiger last year. See Chiefs, Titans, Bucs, and Colts games as proof of that.

Exactly. I don't understand their thinking on that either. If the Blackhawks are willing to entertain offers for him then Sabres should look into it. With 3 first round picks they can probably put together a solid proposal. I know the Sabres would take him. 25 years old and a 40 goal scorer would be a great addition. Of course he will be in line for a huge payday after this coming season. So the Sabres or any team who can work out a trade with the Hawks would want to get him signed to a long term deal first.

Least interesting is the Bears. They are a bad boring football team. Unless the Bills have a total letdown they should beat them by double digits easily. Most interesting is the Dolphins or Ravens. Ravens are healthy and they will battle the Bengals for the North. That Bills vs Ravens could eventually decide the #1 seed. Miami is probably the 2nd best team in the division. If anyone from the East can challenge the Bills it will be them. The Jets are probably a year away and I think the Pats take a step back.

The Blackhawks have been entertaining trade offers for RW Alex DeBrincat. He is only 25 and last season scored 41 goals with 37 assists. He has one year left at 6.4 million but will be looking for a big payday after that. Chicago is looking at a rebuild and supposedly doesn't want to give him a big contract. I don't understand that as he is only 25 and a very productive player. He can certainly be a part of their rebuild. If they are looking to move him then the Sabres should at least look in to it.

Agree. Allen will hold every Bills record for a QB if he stays healthy. He does have some advantages over Jim. 1. Kelly played in an era when defenses could play defense. The game today is set up for more scoring. Its more offense friendly. 2. 16 game season vs what is now a 17 game season. Soon to be an 18 game season (most likely). Longer season will have many records falling. For example Dickerson 2,105 yards rushing in 1984 ( OJ has the real record 2,003 in just 14 games) will probably fall. I could see JT behind that Colts OL in a 17 game season breaking that record.

The Sabres looked like they were turning the corner last year. With 3 picks in the 1st round they definitely need to take advantage here. With a good draft and FA then competing for a playoff spot can be a reality this year. It's been a long time since they were in the playoffs.

Allen is the most talented QB the Bills have ever had. Kelly even admits that. If/when Allen wins a Super Bowl then he goes to #1 on the Bills QB list with Kelly at #2.

Brissett will be the starting QB. I can't see Mayfield ever playing for them again. Watson is looking at a long suspension and maybe even all year.

The draft is this week July 7th and 8th. The Sabres have picks 9, 16, 28 in the first round. Any thoughts? I don't follow the NHL draft like I do the NFL. With 3 picks in the 1st round it seems like the Sabres can really improve themselves by making the picks or a trade.

It the opening game of what is expected to be a great season. LA fans don't show up the Bills fans will. There will definitely be a lot of Bills blue in the crowd. How much depends on if Rams fans sell their tickets or not. LA = lousy football market.

I blame McDermott and Frazier. Hopefully you are right about 13 plus wins. The first 6-7 games are brutal. If they come out of that stretch in good shape then the #1 seed is a very realistic goal.

I would hope the Bills can get better running the ball with Singletary so Allen doesn't have to run as much as those shots can take their toll. Plus Allen throwing the ball is the Bills biggest weapon. Now if a play breaks down and Allen has to run then go for it. I would also add in the playoffs then everything should be on the table including Allen running as they are trying to close the deal on a Super Bowl championship. Over a long 17 game season I would prefer Singletary doing the heavy lifting when it comes to running the ball.

I am. We have about 3 weeks until training camp and a little over month until Bills football. Even though its preseason it does 2 things. Its the official start of tailgating season and it also means the regular season is right around the corner.

The parade would be in Feb. At 95 its probably not a good idea to be outside in Buffalo in Feb. I hope the Bills can win it while Marv is still around.

Another player I remember was Joe Cribbs. He was outstanding in 80 and 81. He was the "Thurman Thomas" of those early 80's teams. If I remember correctly he had the contract dispute and then went to the USFL. Injuries also cut his career short. I can't see him in the Bills Wall of Fame. Didn't play for them long enough.

Glad to see the USFL will have a 2nd season. Hopefully teams can play games at home next year. I live about 20 minutes from MetLife so I will definitely go to a Generals game if they are playing there.
