Bills are 1 pt Favorite Versus the Rams
Greg S replied to RoyBatty is alive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good point. Allen really took off in year 3. I don't think Wilson will be as a good as Josh but he can be the 2nd best QB in the division and a good QB overall. If they do lose a divisional game I think it will be Miami despite Tua holding them back. Possibly the Jets but I doubt it. I do think the Bills will sweep the Pats. NE had a bad offseason and Jones doesn't look like anything special. Both the Fins and Pats have QB problems IMHO. -

True and upsets do happen. When playing their rivals I don't expect the Bills to have a letdown. I don't know if they will go 6-0 but since divisional games are the most important I would think the Bills will be fired up for these types of games. Jax is a "meh" game which is exactly the type of game for a letdown. -

Only if Wilson shows the same kind of improvement that Josh did from year 1 to 2. They should play the Bills tougher as their roster is better but I do think the Bills will sweep them again. -
Josh is the best from that class obviously. Then Lamar and Baker. Darnold will probably be able to stay in the league as backup. Rosen is a bust. Baker isn't bad. He played hurt last year. He should have no problem winning the job from Darnold.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Let the quarterback competition begin! The Panthers kicked off training camp on Wednesday morning, holding their first practice at Wofford College in Spartanburg. All eyes on Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield as they compete to be the team’s starting QB. Darnold took all of the first team reps, while Mayfield worked with the second team. Panthers head coach Matt Rhule says the roles will be reversed when the team hits the field for practice on Thursday. Meanwhile the other two quarterbacks, P.J. Walker and third round draft pick Matt Corral are splitting reps with the third team offense. On Tuesday, general manager Scott Fitterer said the team only plans to keep three quarterbacks on the roster. INJURY NEWS: The Panthers placed last year’s first round draft pick, Jaycee Horn on the active physically unable to perform list (“PUP list”). The second year cornerback had soreness in his surgically-repaired foot. Rhule says it was a precautionary move and that Horn’s status will be day to day. I would be shocked if Mayfield isn't the Panthers starting QB this year. He may not have lived up to his #1 ranking but he is better than Darnold. Rhule is probably on the hot seat if the Panthers struggle this year. Baker gives them a better chance to win.

16 days until Colts at Bills (8/13/22) preseason game #1. As I call it the start of tailgating season.

My guess is by week 5 or 6. Tua has the arm strength of a 5 year old girl.

The offense obviously will be centered around Josh but I would like to see the Bills become more balanced. There are times when you need to run the ball and I don't want Josh to be the one running. -

I am curious to see how Josh and the rest of the offense adjust to Dorsey's system. I am sure they will keep a lot of the same schemes they ran with Daboll. But their will be some adjustments. I expect the starters on offense to get more playing time in the preseason than usual. You want to get as many reps as you can in game action before the season starts. Practice is nice but getting those reps against an actual opponent is more important. IMHO -
Your weak arm statement is the reason the Fins will never go anywhere with this guy. He can't make all the throws you need your QB to make to be successful at the NFL level. In our division Josh is tops of course but I think Wilson can develop into a really good QB. He can make the throws. Unlike with Darnold the Jets appear to be trying to give him some talent to work with.

We have live footage of Tua throwing bombs at Dolphins practice yesterday.

Even in Buffalo its hot in the summer and early September. I guess that is why the Bills like to wear the white jerseys for the 1st home game or two. Although this year with the home opener being at night I could see the Bills going with the classic home look blue over white vs TEN.

I can't see Daboll winning HC of the year. I think the Giants are in for a long year. Both Schoen and Daboll have a huge rebuild ahead of them. Gettleman really screwed up that organization. Jones is going into his 4th year and he still hasn't shown he has the "it" factor to be the franchise QB. Granted the Giants OL has been terrible but he just seem like a average QB to me. Wouldn't surprise me if the Giants draft a QB in next year's draft.- 49 replies

Would you be okay if Allen sat the entire preseason?
Greg S replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Especially with a new OC and some new plays to the offense. Yesterday at TC one of papers reported that Allen was frustrated as the offense looked out of sync. On the plus side they said the defense looked really good. I think the starters on offense will play more than usual in the preseason needing the reps with Dorsey's offense. -
Staying the NFC with Tom is a smart move as well. The AFC is stacked. Much easier to get to the Super Bowl in the NFC. You have the Rams, Cowboys, Packers. But will Rodgers decline without Adams. The 49ers would be a threat if they had a proven QB. Maybe Minnesota? The competition isn't all that tough in the NFC.

When you consider all the partying they did it is amazing that they can still tour. It's actually amazing they are still alive. With Jerry gone Bob is now the most famous surviving member of the Grateful Dead. He is now the face of Grateful Dead music thru Dead and Co. Even if he can't sing like he used to ( lets face it the Dead weren't known for their singing anyway) I appreciate the fact that he is keeping Grateful Dead music going with these tours.

OT: Belichick says that Mac's improvement is "dramatic"
Greg S replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Out of all the teams in the division I think they had the worst offseason. I know Bill is still there and they do have some talent but I wouldn't be surprised if they finish last in the division. I definitely think they will finish behind the Bills and Dolphins. It just depends on how much the Jets improve. -
Hopefully we see her at Bills games. That would be a good sign that she is getting healthy.

QB's in the AFCE go like this. Superman, Moe, Larry, Curly. -
Just heard it on the news. He was 77.

Allen did improve from year 1 to 2 but his breakout season was 3. Even Tony Romo mentioned this. He basically said if a QB hasn't shown that he has the "it" factor by year 3 then he probably never will. The game usually slows down for a QB by year 3. -
I wonder if she will be healthy enough to show up at the games or will we just see Terry in the owners box.
