  1. Losing this game is not an option. Hope the Jets beat the Dolphins and the Steelers beat the Browns. That way the Dolphins and Patriots join the Jets on missing the playoffs.
  2. Loved the show Taxi. Both he as Latka and Christopher Lloyd as Jim Ignatowski were hysterical. Two of the most iconic characters on TV. The whole cast was great.
  3. It might be already. CBS has their #1 team Romo/Nance covering the game.
  4. Too late for that. The Saturday games are set, and the Packers-Lions have Sunday night.
  5. A little? I think they come out super charged up on Sunday. Crowd will be insanely loud. I know the saying "Any Given Sunday" but the Bills aren't losing. They are going to play for Damar and losing isn't an option.
  6. A special thank you to the first responders and medical staff of both teams as well as the hospital staff. They are the real heroes in all of this.
  7. How great would it be if Damar or his parents leave a message on the jumbotron. How fired up would the crowd and team be. Going to be a very tough game for NE to win.
  8. (1) JPA on Twitter: "Breaking: Damar Hamlin is awake and showing signs of improvement, per #Bills CB Kaiir Elam" / Twitter
  9. Agree but weren't they 8-3. To miss the playoffs at that point is a pretty big collapse.
  10. (1) Fins Talk Sports Network on Twitter: "#BreakingNews per @ArmandoSalguero of @Outkick - Mike McDaniel, Chris Grier, and Josh Boyers jobs are at risk if the Miami Dolphins lose against the Jets and miss the Playoffs next Sunday 👀 #FinsUp https://t.co/MiOT1bHHmm" / Twitter
  11. You are probably right. This isn't a normal football injury as it is/was life threatening. Hopefully he is continuing to improve and get better. It's pretty obvious that his season is over. Hopefully his career isn't but that is a discussion for another time.
  12. Newer isn't always better. Take washing machines as an example. They break down more easily with their electronics dashboard. Things go out of wack and you are lucky if you can get 5 years out of them. The washing machines from the 80's and 90's were so much better and they lasted much longer as well.
  13. Hopefully we get more news that things are looking really good. But as for a 100% recovery by this Sunday is probably unrealistic. As long as he continues to improve and makes a 100% recovery at some point hopefully soon then that is what is really important.
  14. They won't do that. What they will probably do (and I bet every team does it) is wear a #3 patch on their helmets.
  15. Depends on the news on Damar. If it's known, he is going to make a full recovery then I think the fans will be fired up. If it's still unknown, then it will be subdued. I don't know the recovery timetable on something like this and it probably wouldn't happen this Sunday. If Darmar makes a full recovery, then could you imagine what the atmosphere would be like say for a Bills home playoff game if he can leave a message on the jumbotron telling everyone he is fine and for the Bills to go win the Super Bowl. The place would go absolutely bonkers. Whoever the Bills are playing that day might as well leave. They would have 0% chance to win the game.
  16. If we keep it football related, then Daboll should win. To get 9 wins and a WC with that team is remarkable. They do have some talent on defense, but they suffered injuries on that side of the ball. On offense it's basically Barkley and nothing else.
  17. Don't know. He should have been in a long time ago.
  18. I thought the league was going to play week 18 as is this weekend. Next weekend play the 3 NFC WC games along with the Bills - Bengals. No AFC playoffs. Then after that play the AFC WC games. No NFC playoffs. Then return to normal with divisional round followed by the AFC/NFC championship games. No bye week so 7 days later Super Bowl.
  19. This was a freak occurrence. Nothing the league could do to prevent it. This scary incident reminded of another one that also happened to Buffalo. I think it was in the late 80's when Sabres goaltender Clint Malarchuck has his juglar vein accidently slashed. He was gushing blood all over the ice. They said if he was at the other goal he probably would have died. They got to him so quickly they were able to save his life.
  20. The Jags and Titans are fighting for the division. The loser can still make it in?
  21. You beat me to it. I was going to say the exact same thing.
  22. Last night on the NFLN they were talking with a doctor who specializes in these types of injuries. She said you typically won't get any updates for 24-48 hours and in that same time frame that is when they will slowly bring him off ventilation and cooling.
  23. Probably going to see how week 18 results play out. My guess if we hear anything is Sunday night or Monday.
