  1. Gallagher, the observational and prop comedian known for smashing watermelons as part of his act, has died at the age of 76. TMZ reports that Gallagher passed away Friday, November 11th, under hospice care. He had been in ill health after suffering several heart attacks in recent years. During his heyday in the 1980s, Gallagher was one of the most popular acts in comedy, filming multiple specials for HBO and Showtime. His signature bit involved using a large wooden mallet — which he called the “Sledge-O-Matic” — to smash watermelons and other objects. The segment actually began as a parody of the Veg-O-Matic commercials that saturated television in the 1960s, but Gallagher’s wit ensured that the Slede-O-Matic lasted long after the Veg-O-Matic had been all but forgotten. In 2004, Comedy Central ranked Gallagher as the 100th best standup comedian of all time. He took issue with his placement, however, saying in an interview at the time: “I looked at the other people and I was trying to find anyone I ever heard of. How could I be behind people I never heard of? … I made 13 one-hour shows for Showtime. I invented the one-man show on cable.” In 2003, Gallagher ran for governor of California in the state’s gubernatorial recall election, and finished in 16th place after receiving nearly 5,500 votes. In the recently released “Weird Al” Yankovic biopic, Gallagher was portrayed by Paul F. Tompkins. This is a developing story…
  2. Yup. I have no doubt the Bills will move the ball. Can they finish once inside the redzone. I doubt Case will throw any long TD passes like Allen does so how they finish drives is the key.
  3. It depends on the time. If Allen is out for a significant amount of time, then the Bills are screwed. But if it's just for this week then they will be fine. I mentioned this before, but the Vikings are 25th in total defense, 20th against the pass, and 2nd worst against the run. The Bills should be able to move the ball in this game. Will they be able to finish drives is the real question.
  4. I posted this is the evaluation of Brandon Beane thread but let's not give the Vikings the win just yet. Here you go. Vikings are ranked #25 in total defense. 20th against the pass, 2nd worst in the league against the run.
  5. DeSantis did great in the midterms. He is very conservative, but he also knows how to play the political game. Something Trump didn't do very well.
  6. Vikings are ranked #25 in total defense. 20th against the pass, 2nd worst in the league against the run.
  7. Rush did more than fine when Dak was out.
  8. Season over at 6-2? You never would have survived 1984 and 1985 or most of the 70's for that matter.
  9. Beane has done a good job overall. This is a good team 6-2. Back-to-back division champs. Four playoff appearances in 5 years. However, he still needs to improve the OL and if Singeltary isn't the answer then RB as well. This team relies on Josh too much. That needs to change. I thought our WR group would be better. Diggs is great but the rest have been somewhat disappointing.
  10. And Cousins is also a statue in the pocket. Von and company need to bring the pressure bigtime. Get a few turnovers so Case has a short field to work with.
  11. Watch Keenum go 24 for 30 for 350 yards 3 TD's and 0 INT's. Bills win 31-17. With all the gloom and doom you know this will happen. This is the game to get the running game going. Hopefully Singletary can get 25 or so carries for 100 yards or more with a TD or two.
  12. Then we trade for Sam Darnold to be our starter.
  13. We are 6-2 and currently the #1 seed. We probably won't keep that, but the year isn't over. Still playoff bound. We just need #17 healthy.
  14. Agree. They aren't winning a Super Bowl without Josh, but they can definitely win a regular season game at home without him. The Vikings are good but so are the Bills. This is also a second straight road game for Minnesota. It's never easy to win on the road and to go on the road in B2B weeks is tough.
  15. This would be a good time for Singletary to get around 25 carries and over 100 yards with a TD or two.
  16. He isn't a top QB, but he is good enough to help the Bills win this weekend. If Allen isn't out there it will hurt but the Bills still have a good chance to win the game.
  17. Case has been in the league a long time. He is capable of helping the Bills get a win this weekend vs Minnesota. The rest of the team will have to pick it up if Allen can't go. If Allen can go the rest of the team should still pick it up. Allen shouldn't have to be a one-man gang out there.
  18. So, this Sunday we have two games of interest. With both NYJ and NE on the bye its Vikings at Bills (obviously) and the Browns at Dolphins. Let's go Browns and Bills of course.
  19. After the midterms it's pretty obvious that the Trump mystique is dead. Trump won't like it, but DeSantis is the face/leader of the Republican party and gives them their best shot at the Presidency in 2024. Look it, how he dominated in FLA this midterm. Unfortunately, you are correct in that Trump won't go away and accept this.
  20. Absolutely. The entire team will have to step up. Defense needs to bring its "A" game. The Bills need a strong performance running the ball with Singletary. Minnesota barely beat Washington last week. This is a second straight road game for them. The Vikings are good, but they are very beatable.
  21. They won't win a Super Bowl without Josh. They can win a regular season game at home with Keenum.
