The way I look at it is all of these tough losses will make it that much sweeter when we win it all. Hopefully it's this year but if not then maybe next season. I just hope they win one before I die.

Throw more screens or short passes to Singletary and Hines. They don't run it well enough, and they can't hit the big play every time either. Dump it off to the backs and see if that opens things up.

Just a question for you diehard Bills fans
Greg S replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills fans were talking about how amazing the game was? The game sucked period. The NFLN will probably replay at 8 either tomorrow or Wed night. There is nothing amazing about yesterday if you are a Bills fan. Vikings fans sure, fans of other teams probably enjoyed it as well. But Bills fans no way. -
Pulse check - How confident are you that we can beat the Browns
Greg S replied to damj's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Browns have the advantage at the LOS on both sides of the ball. This will not be an easy game. It was 27-10 yesterday. It should have been an easy game and look what happened. The Bills can win this game, but I have a feeling come next Sunday afternoon between 3:30 - 4:00 we will all be a bunch of nervous nellies as it will still be anybody's game. -
They need to get healthy especially on D. If they play next week with an injured lineup again then don't expect a blowout win. A loss is also a realistic possibility.

I don't want them to waste any, but McDermott isn't getting fired most likely. Only Terry can answer that. It's not just McDermott as Beane also needs to share the blame. We are one of the worst teams in short yardage situations. We rely on Josh to do too much because we don't have a great run game. Beane has been the GM for 5 years now and the OL is still a problem.
-
Is Harbaugh on shaky ground at Michigan? That is his dream job. I don't think he would leave unless he is fired.
-
At 27-10 I wanted to relax and watch a 4th quarter of garbage time in an easy Bills win. But I didn't as I know better.

When you have Jacoby Brissett as your QB you can count on it. Chubb is going to get a lot of carries. I expect he will rush for at least 100 yards and a TD. I just hope the Bills don't let him have a monster game similar to what JT did to the Bills last season in that blowout loss to the Colts.
-
No to Payton but if Bill were to step down as HC of the Pats, I would throw a boatload of money at him to come Buffalo if I were TP. We all know what Bill can do with a franchise QB. This is all meaningless anyway. McDermott and Beane for that matter aren't going anywhere. Even if this season ends up being a disappointment, they will be given another season to fix it.

That is crazy. At 9 I would take the points. The Browns can run the ball and control the clock. The Bills OL will have a difficult time protecting Allen against their front four. The Bills can win but I think this will be another close game. Hopefully in our favor this time. -

This right here. Hard to make a prediction until we see what the injury situation is. If the Bills can get healthy then they should win. But if they play with many key guys still out then 6-4 is a real possibility. -
That INT in OT was so bad. Poorly thrown ball and he wasn't open either. I don't know if this is Allen or Dorsey but why are they taking a shot at the endzone. They had 1st and 10 at the Vikings 20. More than 2 minutes and two timeouts. There is no need to force anything or panic at that point.

Should have never come down to that. The Jefferson catch, the Allen fumble. None of it should have mattered. 27-10 a three-score lead with 1:51 left in the 3rd quarter at home. The Bills can't close it out. The Cook TD changed everything. The Bills lost momentum at that point and never really got it back. -
At 6-3 it isn't an actual must win game but in many ways it is. The Dolphins and Jets are good. We can correct that by beating them at home, but they need to stay with them in the standings. All three teams have three losses so record wise the Bills are still OK. Lose here and go 6-4 and the Bills can find themselves trailing them. It's going to be a fight to win the AFCE this year.

Jacoby Brissett isn't beating the Bills so it will come down to these 3 factors. IMHO 1. Do a decent job containing Chubb. He will make plays and get his yards but the Bills can't let him go off. By that I mean more than 130 yards rushing with 2 TD's or more. 2. Bills OL must play well. The Browns can get after the QB with their front 4 pretty well. Garrett is a beast. The Bills will have to hold their own in the battle at the LOS. 3. Turnovers - hopefully we get them and don't give them any. Allen needs to improve here. Stop always trying to play hero ball BS. Take what the defense gives you is a smart play. -
Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
Greg S replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott reminds me of Chuck Knox. Good coach who will turn a team around but can never get over the hump. Knox had good teams with the Rams, Bills, and Seahawks but he could never get that Super Bowl win. -
Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Greg S replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
My biggest problem with Beane is the OL. Allen covers up for the OL by scrambling and being able to avoid the rush. We have to be one of the worst if not the worst team in short yardage situations.- 960 replies

Adam Gase did the same for Joe Douglas with the Jets. -
Chubb against our "great" run D. Garrett against our "great" OL. What could possibly go wrong.

There are so many plays we can point to in the loss but to me it was the Cook 81-yard TD run that changed the game. Bills just kicked a FG go up 27-10 with 1:51 left in the 3rd quarter. Not 1st half, not early or midway thru the 3rd quarter but late 3rd quarter they have a three-score lead. Even if the Vikings score on that drive at least make them do it in 10 plays or so and use clock. No, they score instantly and now the lead is cut to 10 and still in the 3rd quarter. The Bills never had control of the game or momentum from that point on. Even when they came back to tie it at 30 I still didn't feel good because OT is always a crap shoot.

How effective can Tre be if he plays. He hasn't played in a game in about a year. To ask him to take on a heavy workload right away is probably unrealistic. -
