Miami would be the home team. It might be in this thread but one of the articles I read said any team that wants to host a Super Bowl could be asked by the league to give up a home game for one of these London/Mexico City games. Miami would more than make back the $$$ if they gave up one regular home game for what the Super Bowl would bring in $$$$ wise. We know Buffalo isn't going to host a Super Bowl anytime soon. Maybe a new dome stadium changes that but even then its a long shot at best.

So now what team are you rooting for?
Greg S replied to BuffaloButt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My picks are Chiefs over the Titans and the 49'ers over the Packers. I hope KC wins the SB as I would like to see Reid finally win one but I think SF will be the SB champs. -
On the NFC side you can add the Giants. Despite being a train wreck these past 7 years they are a big market NYC (despite playing in East Rutherford NJ) team. They are one of the NFL's "favorite" franchises with a long tradition and history. They also bring in high TV ratings as well. Despite their horrible season I bet they get a primetime game and maybe even 2 next season. Don't forget the Bears as well. Dallas, Green Bay, NYG, and Chicago are the NFC's traditional big draws

Way too early 2020 season expectations
Greg S replied to Jasovon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They wont take a step back if Beane has a good offseason. We don't know how tough the schedule will be yet. Have to see what teams do in the draft and what they gain/lose in FA. Look at the AFC West KC will probably tough , but the Chargers weren't that good and look ready to move on from Rivers. The Raiders and Broncos are really nothing special to be honest. In the NFC West SF will also be tough. Seattle is good but beatable and they rely on RW to carry them now more so than in the past. The Rams could be tough. Will they look like the team from 2 years ago or will they struggle again like this past season. The Cards are OK but nothing the Bills should fear. If the Bills continue to build on what they have then they will be in good shape for 2020. -

Win the division, get a home playoff game and win it. -
No. They still won 12 games and have an excellent defense. If they move on from Brady then they will probably bring in a vet for 2020 and then look at QB's in the draft for their future. Burrow will be a Bengal #1. Tua who knows with the injury if he falls in the draft or teams move up to get him. If they are looking at drafting a QB they will have competition. Steelers, Chargers, Saints have to be looking for QB's for the future given the ages of their current starters. Pitt especially as they watched their season crash and burn without Ben.

Carolina Panthers hire Matt Rhule as HC - 7 year contract
Greg S replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Today's Daily News also said the Giants like the Ravens DC Wink Martindale as a top candidate but did mention Rhule was the favorite so who knows. -
It was a fun season. 10 wins for the first time in a long time. Big wins on the road and in primetime. Next season will be tougher. Travel schedule is tough with many games out west. Expectations to build on this season from the fans and media will be placed on the Bills. Looking forward to the 2020 season and the realistic goal of winning the AFCE.

Is Tre White worth top corner money?
Greg S replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes and he will get paid big time by the Bills. Beane has said many times that he wants to build thru draft and then keep their core together. White is definitely part of the core group going forward. -
For some reason we seem to open with the Jets a lot. I will say the home and season opener is week 1 Jets at Bills 1:00 Sunday afternoon. I also think we get two primetime games (maybe 3) Chiefs at Bills will be one and Bills at Pats will be the other.
-
Only the last 17 minutes and that is what makes this loss so frustrating. If it was a back and forth affair all the way thru then it would easier to take the loss. They had the game won in the first 43 minutes. Despite the loss I like where this team is heading. They are trending up and Beane and McDermott have accomplished a lot in their first 3 years here. Two playoff appearances in three years plus a 10 win season for the first time in a long time. Beane needs to have another strong offseason with the draft and FA. If he can and Allen improves then I see no reason why the Bills can't win the division and play a playoff game in OP next season. The Pats dynasty with Brady is coming to an end, the Jets have Gase who sucks as a HC, the Dolphins are in the beginning of a rebuild. Next year AFC East champs should be the goal and then go from there.

If they do win tomorrow ( I think they will in a close game) think of how sweet it will be to just relax and watch the other playoff games knowing the Bills are going to Baltimore/KC. I would love to watch the Pats struggle with their fanbase nervous as hell on Saturday night after a Bills win earlier in the day.

It's not always pretty because the Bills aren't a finished product yet. Whatever happens in these playoffs doesn't change the fact that Beane needs to have another strong offseason focusing on the offense. I would like to see the OL getter better and more in line with what SF and BAL do. Tough physical lines that can dominate the LOS. Also we need another playmaker at WR or TE to go with what we have. If Beane can improve the offense and keep the defense at an elite level than 2020 could be a special year. Hoping they can go on a run this year and I think they can/will get by Houston but winning at KC/BAL will be really tough with our current offense

26-23 Bills. I actually think the AFC games are going to be close that could go either way. As for the NFC I can't see the Vikings winning at NO. I think the Seahawks will beat the Eagles. Pats 30-24. NE won't go to the SB but they won't go away quietly either. The Pats at NE (playoff time) I think they survive for one more week. Saints 31-17. Seahawks 24-14.

Chances Bills play first game of wildcard weekend?
Greg S replied to Negan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the Sat night game was the Rams-Falcons if I remember correctly. -

Didn't KC play the Titans at home two years ago on Saturday afternoon leaving the Bills-Jaguars as the Sunday 1:00 game. The Bills will be the early game on Saturday or early on Sunday. It's 50/50 as to which one IMHO. -

The Eagles are up and down but have to think they beat the Giants this Sunday and win the division. Dallas will be enjoying a nice long offseason after this Sunday. -
2019 Playoffs. 1st round
Greg S replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like most here I think the Bills are the Saturday afternoon game or maybe Sunday at 1:00. I don't see them getting Saturday night or Sunday late afternoon. -

Probably Sunday night. They will most likely announce it after the Niners - Hawks game on SNF. The loser of that game plays on WC weekend. For me their are four games of interest Chiefs/Chargers at 1:00 only because KC is a possible opponent for the Bills. At 4:25 both the Titans-Texans and Steelers-Ravens to see who gets the #6 seed. Of course the best game on SNF with SF/SEA. I will keep an eye on the Bills score but that really is a glorified preseason game.
