  1. It's crazy and going to Yankees Stadium is also expensive. I prefer to watch the Yanks from the comfort of my home. Traveling from NJ into the Bronx is a hassle as well.
  2. Even though I am a Bills fan(OJ was my favorite player growing up) I live 20 minutes from MetLife. My Dad was (passed away 2003) a huge Jets fan and bought seasons during Namath's rookie season. I have the tickets now and I have 2 seats. At Giants Stadium they were $75 a ticket. For both $150 a game times 10 games is $1500. Parking was 20 a game times 10 games = $200. Total cost at Giants Stadium was $1700 per year. At MetLife my tickets are $125 a piece. So $250 x 10 games = 2500. My PSL fee is $5000 per seat so that is $10,000. Parking pass is $20 a game so that totals $200 for the year. Total cost at Met Life $2500 for the tickets, $200 for parking, $1000 a year for 10 years for the PSL = $3700 per year. A $2000 increase for the same service $1700 vs $3700 from Giants Stadium to MetLife for me. I forgot to mention the Jets are charging me interest on my PSL fee because I can't pay it off in one shot. Like everyone else other expenses come first mortgage, taxes, kids college and so on. The NYC market is obviously different then the Buffalo market but make no mistake the Pegula's will make the season ticket holders pay one way or another. Enjoy the time at Rich, Ralph, New Era because it is a great football stadium where the real fans can still show up. Many Jets/Giants fans got priced out and now they get the business crowd. Neither team has a real homefield advantage anymore. The funny part is every Jets/Giants fan I have talked to hates MetLife. It sucks and everyone misses Giants Stadium. I would take Shea back over MetLife and Shea was a dump.
  3. Even though he was considered a legend and fan favorite when he played I would think OJ tops the list now for the obvious reasons.
  4. Exactly. See last year's Browns who "won" the offseason with signing big name players. How did that work out for them.
  5. The funny thing is when players get to Buffalo many of them love it. Look at Kelly as an example. He blew off the Bills to go to the USFL but now the guy is Mr. Buffalo and made it his home. Thurman is another one who moved back here fulltime. Kyle Williams loves the area. There have been so many players who loved playing in front of Bills Mafia where they get a real home field advantage. Is the weather really that much of a factor during football season? August, Sept its hot. October still not bad, November (minus that freak snow storm a few years ago) still not that bad. December and January is when you have to deal with the possibility of snow. If you are playing in January nobody will care as it's the playoffs. When the season is over these players can leave the area. They certainly can afford multiple homes if they want. As far as the other elements like wind and rain that can happen anywhere.
  6. I actually hope they can strengthen the O-Line and not just add depth. To many times last year Allen was running for his life. I want to see the Bills have an O-Line like the 49'ers, Chiefs, Ravens. Having a strong OL that can dominate. Think of what that will do not only for JA but DS as well. I also agree that we need to bring in another weapon at WR to go with what we have but improving the OL is the #1 priority from me on that side of the ball. On the defense I want to see us get better at getting to the QB. Get to work Beane.
  7. What about punting and FG's?
  8. Nothing. He couldn't even beat out Fitz this past season. If there was ever a time for Rosen to get experience it would have been last year during a rebuilding year when there was no expectation to win. The Bills are building around Allen, the Jets with Darnold, the Browns with Mayfield, and the Ravens with Jackson. Rosen is headed towards bust territory.
  9. I can't see that. To have them play two "home games" against the division in this situation puts them at a competitive disadvantage. Teams who give up one home game for this is bad enough but two seems a bit too much.
  10. What about Miami? Even though he is on the downside of his career he would still be an upgrade over Fitz. Rosen looks like he is heading towards bust territory if he couldn't beat out Fitz last season. The Fins could use a vet to hold down the fort for a year or two until they get their future franchise QB. Who knows if they hit on their draft picks and with Rivers as QB they might be competitive. Their coach did a good job last season considering the talent on the roster.
  11. Going to give the XFL a shot. Their season opens the weekend after the Super Bowl. Even though I am a Bills fan I live in Jets/Giants territory. I am about 20 minutes from MetLife. The XFL team that will play here is the NY Guardians. If this sucks then I still have my Islanders who are in the playoff race and the Yanks start soon. I agree with you I hate the long offseason that the NFL has.
  12. The Monday after the Super Bowl should just be declared a national holiday. So many people take off work that Monday anyway (myself included).
  13. This has to be the worst sports weekend in a long time. No football, no real hockey. A 24-21 NHL all star game isn't hockey and baseball is still a couple of months away. I don't care for basketball so I don't know what I will watch.
  14. https://nypost.com/2020/01/24/eli-manning-saying-goodbye-to-giants-my-way-in-emotional-retirement-press-conference/ The Giants announced he will go into their Ring of Honor and his #10 will officially be retired.
  15. Joe will be rooting for the team in the white jerseys http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=weekly&year=2019&week=sb&league=NFL
  16. I would put the Steelers as a possibility as well. They have a lot of national appeal and always get there share of primetime games every year no matter what there record is.
  17. I doubt it as Beane has said many times they will spend responsibly in FA but prefer to build thru the draft and resign their own. Speaking of which isn't White due for a new contract soon? The Bills will have to pay big money for him as he is a big part of what they are building in Buffalo.
  18. I hope KC wins just for Reid but other than that I really don't care. I just hope its a good game and my numbers come in on my office pool.
  19. I agree its still loud but if you were around when the place held 80,020 then you know it was much louder back then.
  20. It used to be real crazy when the stadium held 80,020. Back then Buffalo was the loudest stadium but since seating capacity was reduced to around 73,000 it's not on the same level as Seattle or KC anymore but its still pretty loud.
  21. Looking back at 2018 draft it sucked watching the Jets make that trade with the Colts to get the #3 pick. Allen improved from his rookie year and we need him to improve even more next year but I was hoping at the time that the Bills could have gotten Darnold. If the Jets can build a team around him then I think he will be the best of the QB's from that draft.
  22. What did he throw yesterday about 12 passes. Both KC and SF looked real good yesterday. Usually I have a good idea (at least I think I do) on who wins the Super Bowl. This one coming up is so evenly matched its hard to pick a winner. The early line that I saw was KC -1. I hope KC wins though for Reid.
