It absolutely is. I remember Jim Kelly saying that Brady told him one of the main reasons why they have been so successful in NE is because they run the same system year after year. Changing HC's, OC's, DC's as well as positional coaches all the time make it impossible to build chemistry/a good team.

Both McDermott and Beane deserve an extension.

Post Favorite memory of the 2019 season

It's a tie for me. Giving the Cowboys a beatdown in front of a national audience on Thanksgiving was sweet. But so was clinching a playoff spot with the win at Pittsburgh. -
True you did have legit teams in the NFC miss this year and there will be some years where **** teams make it under this format. You really can't compare the NFL to the other leagues. The NHL, NBA, MLB all have best of 7 playoff series (best of 5 for MLB Rd 1). Football is one and done. JMO but I would keep everything as it is right now. I know this is a way for the league to make more $$$$ so it probably will happen.

Dak Prescott situation turning into a Kirk Cousins standoff?
Greg S replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their offense runs thru Zeke but they will pay him in the end as he is a good QB. -
Lions possibly looking to move Stafford

No you are not alone. At this point in Brady's career Stafford probably does give them a better chance. -

Is Tua healthy? That injury he suffered this past season looked pretty bad. I know some team will take a chance (Dolphins) on him but how healthy is he? -

I guess this report kills the trade rumor. If Detroit is trying to win next season then it makes no sense to trade him. -

https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2020/02/10/monday-night-football-flex-scheduling It wouldn't start until 2023 but that would suck for people attending the game.

If they don't resign Brady then they will bring in a stop gap for a year or two (Dalton who will be looking to start somewhere is an option) but they will definitely be looking at QB's in the draft. Same goes for NO if Bridgewater leaves. Pitt has to after their season crashed and burned without Ben and he is nearing the end anyway. Burrow will be a Bengal and Tua most likely goes to the fish. I don't know if this is a really strong draft for QB's overall. I hope not because I don't want NE to find their next potential franchise QB. I could see NE taking a chance on Josh Rosen if he is available. His career has gotten off to a rocky start but Bill is the type of coach who could put him in a situation to succeed.

XFL Opening Weekend, Matchups and where to watch.
Greg S replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at the NY-TB game at MetLife yesterday. Had a good time and of course tailgating is always fun. Only 17,624 at MetLife which holds 82,500 so that tells you all you need to know about the crowd. It doesn't replace the NFL or college but it's nice to have football extended for a few months. The NY Guardians are 1-0 and the best football team in the NYC area. When your competition is the Jets/Giants I guess that's not saying much. -
XFL Opening Weekend, Matchups and where to watch.
Greg S replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After the Super Bowl I pay more attention to hockey (Isles fan) and then baseball soon after (Yanks fan). Football season to me is the NFL and college. I might check out the XFL if nothing else is on but this time of year I will stick with the NHL and MLB when it comes to sports. -
I don't know if you can compare Ralph Wilson to Terry/Kim Pegula. Terry and Kim haven't been owners all that long. If I were grading the Pegula's on their own I would give them a C-. They get a B for the Bills since they got it right with Beane/McDermott. They get a F for the Sabres. No other way to say this but the Sabres continue to be a train wreck. As for Ralph Wilson he did a lot of great things for the league starting back in the AFL days. He did bring football to Buffalo and made sure they stayed after his passing. He wasn't a great owner as far as the wins and losses. Highlights for his teams were the back to back AFL championships. The early 80's Knox teams, and of course the Super Bowl years. Aside from that there was a ton of losing. I would grade him a C/C+ overall. JMHO

Brady says he will be playing in next years Super Bowl
Greg S replied to ALLEN1QB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He can talk all he wants but what is he 41,42? Once "Father Time" gets you its over. Every athlete loses that battle and Marcia is no different. Next year he will experience what its like to not win the division. 2020 AFCE champs play in Orchard Park. -
What Are We Going To Do for Backup QB Next Year?
Greg S replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would rather have Joe Ferguson at his current age instead of Mr. 5 INT's in a half. -
You could say the same about Allen. He is a very good athlete but he still needs to become a better QB. Playing the pocket, going thru his reads and making good decisions in where to go with the ball. He needs to protect the ball better (INT's and fumbles). He was a big reason why the Bills didn't get a chance to play at KC in the divisional round. Hoping he can take the next step next season in becoming a very good/great QB.
-
Mahomes is a great player but look at that KC offense. He wouldn't have been nearly as successful on the Bills given what they have had on offense. Looking back at the 2018 draft I was more annoyed about the Jets trade with the Colts to move up to #3 and get Darnold than passing on Mahomes. Darnold was the QB I wanted the Bills to get. I still think he will be a great QB and maybe the best from the 2018 class if the Jets can build a team around him.
-
That KC @ BUF game screams primetime. I think Buffalo ends up with 3 primetime games. Two scheduled in April and they get flexed into one during the season.

How fast is Josh Allen and can he get faster?
Greg S replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am hoping Allen gets better not faster. He needs to improve his pocket awareness, reading defenses and having a better judgement in knowing where to go with the ball. He is fast enough but I want to see him become a better all around QB. If he does then the Bills will be able to make some serious noise and compete for a Super Bowl. -
It silly to make predictions before FA and the draft. Beane is building a solid roster so I expect the Bills to be better in 2020. I don't know what the record will be but for the first time in a long time NE is going to have to fight for the division and the Bills are the only team that can take it from them. The Jets and Dolphins are both rebuilding and probably need a year or two before they can really compete for the division and playoffs.

It used to be Rich Stadium then was Ralph Wilson Stadium and now New Era Field. Place opened in 1973.

Miami is a terrible pro sports town. I would add to your list the Panthers as well. Nobody goes to there games unless they are playing a team that brings in a ton of fans. Next time the Rangers play the Panthers in Florida take a look at how many Rangers fans are there. Place sounds like MSG South.
