Is now the time to remove OJ Simpson from the wall of fame and HOF?
Greg S replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Despite his reputation being in the toilet with everything that has happened after his football career, you can't deny he along with Bruce Smith are the two greatest (most talented) players to ever play for the Bills. If judged by only his playing career then he deserves to be in the HOF and remain on the Bills WOF. If he were removed I would completely understand. If OJ is allowed to remain in the HOF then why isn't Pete Rose in baseball's HOF. Pete gambled but his crimes were not nearly as serious as OJ's. -
LOL. I am a Bills fan in NJ so I actually do get a fall season. Last year we really didn't even have a winter. I haven't used the snow blower the last 2 winters actually.

Give me the fall over every other weather season. The temperature is comfortable and most importantly its football season.

Jake Fromm: Controversial comments

Thanks for the update. I can't see the Bills getting a new stadium anytime soon with everything going on in NY. Unless the Pegula's want to do the heavy lifting financially (they don't) then New Era it is. I am fine with that as the real fans and not the corporate crowd can still afford to go to the games. I have seasons to the Jets and have been to many Giants games as well. Both teams lost their homefield advantage by pricing many of their fans out. They have the corporate crowd at MetLife. I personally miss Giants Stadium. Their wasn't a bad seat in the house there. Like New Era it was built in the 70's and didn't have all the luxury's of a new stadium.

What Festivals are You Really Missing this Year?
Greg S replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Had tickets for Guns N' Roses at MetLife for July 18th. -
Do what the Chiefs and Bears did and just make upgrades to the stadium when the time comes. I know the Bills recently upgraded the stadium a few years ago. The only thing wrong with New Era is it was built in the 70's so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a new stadium (bars, restaurants, shops, more luxury boxes) that the owners want.

I would give more credibility to a dissertation by Mike Tyson on quantum physics than I would Peter King's football rankings.

Good point but their is so much to choose from with the Bills that there will be a lot of different answers.

Maybe this should be another thread but what about a Mount Flushmore. worst draft - J.P Losman - the Bills traded their 2005 1st Rd pick as part of a package to get back in the 1st Rd of 2004 and select JP worst FA signings - Marv was a great coach but remember his stint as GM. How about the Langston Walker 5 year 25 million and Derrick Dockery 7 year 49 million contracts Levy gave out. worst HC - Hank Bullough or Kay Stephenson. back to back 2-14 seasons in 84 and 85. What a nightmare. worst GM- I am going with the Marv Levy experiment here as the above signings prove. I am sure their are better choices and the older Bills fans can point back to examples in the 60's. My choices are from what I remember as complete disasters.

I think they will go 10-6 and win the division. As someone already mentioned the Bills won't have the luxury of flying under the radar. Four primetime games with a chance for five if the Denver game gets flexed. You know our divisional rivals are going to be fired up to play us. The Pats will want to prove they still own the division. The Jets and Dolphins are probably annoyed hearing how great Buffalo is and how the Bills are the only team with a chance to beat the Pats for the division. Matchups against the NFCW and AFCW along with a 2nd place schedule. Unless he is hurt the Bills will get the Steelers with Ben and not their backup scrub QB. The Titans will want payback for last season especially since Bills fans took over their stadium.

Have you ever been to a Bills home game in Buffalo?
Greg S replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You should make the trip to NYC area when the Bills come to MetLife assuming fans can attend. Jets tickets are easy to get now. The ticket prices going up along with the PSL fees at MetLife forced many fans out. The Jets used to have a waiting list for seasons but no more. You can do all of the things your wife wants to do and see the Bills as well. -

I have been to OP a few times over the years. I live in NJ about 20 minutes from MetLife so I don't get to a Bills home game every year. I do get to see the Bills every year being a Jets season ticket holder though going back to the Shea Stadium days. -
Got two reasons why I cry away each lonely night, The first one's named Sweet Anne Marie, and she's my hearts delight. The second one is prison, babe, the sheriff's on my trail, And if he catches up with me, I'll spend my life in jail.

In the rematch their starters struggled to beat the Bills backups 13-6 in a game the Bills treated like a glorified preseason game. If they can't beat the Jets especially at home then this team isn't as good as we thought. I realize divisional/rivalry games are usually hard fought and close but the Bills should still come away with a win in this upcoming opener.

Throw in CFB and you have games 4 days a week. I like it though. The majority of shows and stuff that are on TV are crap so more football is better IMHO.

Their OL will be improved. Joe Douglas had a good offseason for them but the lack of practice time and getting the reps in puts their OL at a disadvantage early in the year. The Bills have an advantage over a lot teams in that this is year 4 of McDermott. Same OC and DC so the players are familiar with the schemes and systems and how McDermott wants things done. Big advantage with this not being a normal offseason. Teams with new coaches or a high turnover in player personnel will have a tougher time getting on the same page this year.

I think many people see him as a glorified RB playing QB who still has accuracy issues. He really hasn't been that great (so far) but he did improve from year 1 to year 2. He needs to take a big step this year. Third year in league so he has experience and a good team around him now. I will say in his defense he probably should have sat for a year but the Bills ****ed up their QB situation badly with Peterman and McCarron. It was basically sink or swim year 1 on a bad team with no real weapons on offense to help him.

Mt Rushmore of Buffalo coaches (Bills and Sabres)
Greg S replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knox should be in the discussion. When he came to Buffalo the Bills were a mess. He built that team into a contender. If they could have beaten the Colts once in 80 then they would have had homefield advantage. The Bills probably beat the Chargers and Raiders if the games were at Rich Stadium. -
