  1. Brian Costello also covers the Jets for the Post. He is a cheerleader for the green and white.
  2. As an Isles fan I can tell when the Isles hired Lou Lamoriello who then hired Barry Trotz it gave them their strongest management team since the Cup years with Bill Torrey and Al Arbour. Prior to Lou and Barry the Isles were horribly run. Yes their are differences with the NFL and NHL but you still need a strong management team in place if you want to succeed.
  3. They need to find their "Beane-McDermott" for the Sabres. They have hit a HR with the Bills but continue to strikeout with the Sabres.
  4. LOL. Never. I am also a Yanks fan so I have hatred for both the Pats and Sox.
  5. It doesn't work for the all blues or all reds but the all whites both current and throwback look great. If it were up to me the Bills would have the following uniform combinations. White on white (current and throwback) Blue over white ( current and bring back the throwback) Red over white White over Blue. I think the red jerseys would look sharp with white pants.
  6. Another guitarist who should be mentioned is Les Paul. He was an inspiration for many future guitar players. Many who were mentioned in this thread.
  7. I remember the 1982 season was a strike shortened season. I believe it was 9 games. The Bills started out 2-0 then the strike hit. Finished 4-5 and missed the playoffs. No worries for this season. I expect 16 games and if I can't go to the games then I will watch on TV just like everyone else.
  8. The NFL is going to play a full season. With fans in attendance that is the question in doubt.
  9. I'm thinking it sucks that the season might have no fans inside the stadium, or at a reduced capacity. If we find out that fans can go inside the stadium, then I will definitely make the trip. Assuming I can get tickets for the opener. I would imagine tickets for all home games will be hard to get given the expectations for a great season.
  10. I saw this on another board but thought it would also make a great thread and that is list your top 3 favorite songs. It is really hard to narrow it down to 3 but here are mine. Clapton ….Layla Skynyrd ….Freebird Floyd ……..Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
  11. Another great guitarist who should be mentioned is Lindsey Buckingham.
  12. I was going to come up for this one from NJ but with no guarantee fans will be allowed I can't see making the 6 hour drive.
  13. To me it's between Hendrix and SVR as the best. Honorable mention to Clapton.
  14. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-uniform-rankings-2020/11cu2k3r8iklb15mjpe8r0r5my I am not the only one.
  15. Only when they are wearing white on white (current or throwback), blue over white, or white over blue. They break out the other crap and that drags their standing down to middle of the pack at best.
  16. This is off of wikipedia Roussimoff has been unofficially crowned "the greatest drunk on Earth"[91] for once consuming 119 12-US-fluid-ounce (350 ml) beers (in total, over 41 litres (72 imp pt)) in six hours.[92] On an episode of WWE's Legends of Wrestling, Mike Graham said Roussimoff once drank 156 16-US-fluid-ounce (470 ml) beers (over 73 litres (128 imp pt)) in one sitting, which was confirmed by Dusty Rhodes. The Fabulous Moolah wrote in her autobiography that Roussimoff drank 127 beers in a Reading, Pennsylvania, hotel bar and later passed out in the lobby. The staff could not move him and had to leave him there until he awoke.[93] In a shoot interview, Ken Patera recalled an occasion where Roussimoff was challenged by Dick Murdoch to a beer drinking contest. After nine or so hours, Roussimoff had drunk 116 beers.[94] A tale recounted by Cary Elwes in his book about the making of The Princess Bride has Roussimoff falling on top of somebody while drunk, after which the NYPD sent an undercover officer to follow Roussimoff around whenever he went out drinking in their city to make sure he did not fall on anyone again.[95] Another story also says prior to his famous WrestleMania III match, Roussimoff drank 14 bottles of wine
  17. That is joke. I can tell you in the NY metro area in terms of popularity it goes like this. 1. Yankees 2. Giants 3. Jets or Mets (depending on who is doing better) 4. See above 5. Knicks 6. Rangers 7. Isles or Devils (same as Jets-Mets) 8. See above 9. Nets The NYC media doesn't give a crap hockey. NY-NJ-LI area is basically a football and baseball market. The other sports are secondary. If the Knicks ever become an NBA team again then they will get their share of attention but still trail the Yanks, Mets, Jets, Giants.
  18. He is no longer alive but if I could go have a beer with one person it would have to be Andre the Giant. He won the honor as the world greatest drunk. Fellow wrestlers confirmed his legendary drinking. On one occasion Andre drank 156 beers in one night. Google Andre the Giant drinking stories and listen to some of the wrestlers who were there tell their stories. Some pretty crazy stuff.
  19. I think two games would be perfect and not just for this preseason but going forward as well. The starters barely play except for the third game which is the only one that comes close to an actual game. Nobody really cares who wins. The only thing I hope for is that the Bills get out of the preseason without any injuries.
  20. https://nypost.com/2020/06/10/nfl-may-shorten-widely-loathed-preseason/
  21. I would take him back on the Bills in a minute to be Allen's backup. Plus he would a good mentor for Josh in handling the job/pressures of being a QB.
  22. Bob Weir - I am a deadhead. He could probably tell some interesting stories Jim Kelly - Bills legend. Nothing else needs to be said Larry David - Love "CYE" and Seinfeld. A genius as far as comedy goes Mike Bossy - Isles fan here and he was my favorite Islander Ed O'Neil - loved Married with Children. Al Bundy one of the great TV characters of all time.
  23. Yup. No disrespect to Eric Dickerson and his 2,105 yards in 1984 but the real single season rushing record is OJ's 2,003 yards in just 14 games in 1973.
