  1. I think they will win the division. These next two weeks they can really help themselves. Possibly 6-2 and 4-0 in the division if things go well. But when the off-season comes Beane needs to improve the lines on both sides of the ball. It seems like when the Bills play physical teams they get pushed around and that needs to stop if they want to become a Super Bowl contender.
  2. 1984 Cowboys vs Bills. Ask Dallas fans about that game.
  3. On the flip side of this thread is one of the most surprising wins in Bills history was in 1984. 14-3 over Dallas. The Bills should win this week. I don't think they will be looking ahead to NE but 1984 Bills vs Cowboys is proof anything can happen.
  4. Looking at future points spreads the Chiefs are a 21 point favorite over the Jets as of now. https://nypost.com/2020/10/20/jets-are-massive-three-touchdown-underdogs-vs-chiefs-in-week-8/
  5. He won't avoid the Jets as they will throw big $$$$$$ at him. They are a disaster but if you can win in NY you are consider a NY legend forever. Namath, Manning, Jeter, Messier to name a few. He will have a new coach so he won't have to deal with Gase. Joe Douglas has done a good job acquiring picks. Its obvious this is a total rebuild and he has four 1st round picks( I think) in the next two drafts to work with. They can get good pretty fast if JD does well in the upcoming drafts. Despite the fact the Jets/Giants play in East Rutherford, NJ they are still considered NYC football teams.
  6. Why? The Bills are a 1st place team. Win on Sunday gives them a season sweep over the Jets and a 3-0 division record. It also gives them a 5-2 record heading into what will be the biggest regular season game in OP in a long time vs the evil empire. Win that and its 6-2, 4-0 in the division. I just hope ( I don't think they are) they aren't looking ahead to NE. They shouldn't coming off two losses so they need to handle business this week against the Jets. Today's Daily News shows the Bills as a 13 point favorite. Vegas money must be coming in heavy on the Bills.
  7. That last KC drive was really disappointing. Despite being run on all night the D had a chance to make a big stop. It would have been exciting to see the offense with the ball and a chance for a GW drive.
  8. I am not down all that much. We lost to two teams with a combined 10-1 record. The Bills are a good team but they are not at an elite level yet. They also have issues to fix that probably won't be fixed until the offseason (draft, FA,). Truth is the red flags with this defense started with the Miami game and really showed itself against the Rams in the 2nd half. I still think they get to 10 wins. Win this week 5-2 with a shot at 6-2 vs the Pats next week. If the Bills can win B2B division games then they are in the drivers seat for the division.
  9. On the flip side the Jets with Gase get blown out on a regular basis. I have to look it up but they lose by double digits in most of their games. Even if the Bills are soft I expect Allen to have a really good game throwing the ball. I think they will cover but I wouldn't bet on it.
  10. Steelers and Titans play at 1:00. I don't think to many eyes will be on the Bills-Jets game.
  11. Just win the Jets game. Nothing else matters except getting to 5-2.
  12. They need to stop the bleeding. Get a win to go 5-2 and go from there. I don't care who they beat. Its not the Bills fault the Jets are a clown show.
  13. The answer is in the draft. They need to improve the lines. Lack of running game, lack of pass rush. If it wasn't for Allen's ability to escape the pocket and avoid the rush then the OL would look worse than it does. Beane need to focus on improving the lines in the draft on both sides of the ball. Unfortunately this doesn't help them for the rest of this season.
  14. The Bills are definitely going to have to fix the lines on both sides of the ball when the draft/FA come around. I still think the Bills will find a way to win 10 games but they are a notch below the AFC's elite.....KC, Pit, Bal, Ten
  15. Today's Daily News has the Bills favorite by 12.5.
  16. Have to put the blame on the offense for this one. While the defense gave up what seemed like 25,000 yards rushing they still held the Chiefs to 26 points. It was your bend but don't break type of performance. You really can't ask to defense to do any better than giving up 26 points to that team. I just wish the defense could have made a stop at the end and given the ball back to the offense at 23-17. Would have to fun to see if Josh had another 4th quarter comeback in him.
  17. I think KC has the 2nd worst run defense in the league. Good chance they should be able to run the ball tonight.
  18. If I can choose I will take the Bills having won and walking off the field with a 5-1 record.
  19. Hopefully our offense can prevent a track meet. Run the ball and run it some more. If the Bills can hold the ball for around 35 minutes and finish drives then they have a shot. Look back at what the Giants did to the Bills in the Super Bowl. They had the ball for 40 minutes and still just barely won. The Bills are going to need a similar game plan to help out the defense.
  20. I would feel a lot better about the Bills chances if they can somehow get their defense fixed.
  21. I think they were down 27-10 when they got their garbage TD. The spread this morning has the Bills as a 10 pt favorite vs the Jets. If the Bills lose today then I expect a blowout win next Sunday.
  22. Speaking of the Titans I am looking forward to next week's game vs Pitt. It's not very often you get 5-0 vs 5-0. I know this was a "rescheduled game" but that should be the national game of the week with a 4:25 start. As for the Bills they should kick the crap out of the Jets. The spread in today's Daily News has the Bills favored by 10.
  23. Look at SF. They get beat bad by Miami at home but come back a week later and beat the Rams. While Allen will have to make plays I really hope the Bills can get the running game going. If their was ever a week to control the clock this is it.
  24. I wouldn't write the Pats off just yet as they still have Bill and that D but yesterday was a bad loss. The Bills have to watch out for the Dolphins. Miami seems to have done a pretty good job in rebuilding their team. Dolphins GM Chris Grier and HC Brian Flores are doing for them what Beane and McDermott are doing here. I wouldn't be surprised if the last game of the season between the Bills and Dolphins is for the division.
  25. That might be the score after the 1st quarter. Doing my best Captain Obvious the Bills must 1. run the ball and control the clock 2. when in the red zone finish with 7 not 3 3. winner the turnover battle Against a lesser team the Bills could probably get a way with not doing the above all that well but today against this opponent they will have to do all three really well Chiefs 35 Bills 31. Hope I am wrong.
