  1. They are 5-6 (I believe) and they are fighting to save their season and get back into the playoff race. I don't think they will have a letdown because of that.
  2. If that Bills-Dolphins game decides the AFCE then make it 5 primetime games. Could definitely see that game getting flexed into SNF.
  3. They probably are a dark horse for the Super Bowl as of now. All of the "experts" expect a PIT/KC AFC championship game. If the Bills can beat Pitt then maybe that will convince a lot of the naysayers. Although Pit will be playing their 3rd game in 11 days so the Bills probably won't get any credit for beating them as that will be the media's excuse.
  4. Looking back at 1980, I think if Ferguson isn't playing on basically one leg the Bills beat the Chargers. They probably beat the Raiders in AFC championship game at home and go on to the Super Bowl to play the Eagles. Knox was a good coach and he also like McDermott turned the culture around for the Bills.
  5. 1984 and 1985 was depressing. I remember a good crowd (usually opening day) had 45,000 - 50,000. That was back when the capacity was 80,020. By the end of the year they had a Sabres like crowd at Rich Stadium. The people who are complaining about 8-3 and a 1st place team well I hope they weren't around back in 84-85 for their sakes.
  6. So would I. I want the games played as fair as possible but this situation is working in the Bills favor. It's nobody's fault. But 3 games in 11 days is a lot of football especially at the NFL level.
  7. 3 games in 11 days for the Steelers when they meet the Bills. One of those games is against their most bitter rival where its usually a 60 minute fist fight. The Bills could be facing a worn down Steelers team on SNF.
  8. Bill Cowher mentioned yesterday that maybe its time for the NFL to look into going into a bubble. It worked for the NHL and NBA playoffs. Weather is getting colder and virus cases are on the rise. It may be the only way to get all games in and have it be fair from a competitive standpoint. It would be a pain in the ass thing to do but they might not have a choice.
  9. http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=weekly&year=2020&week=13&league=NFL We will be wearing white again as the 49ers just posted their normal red jerseys for home games. No surprise. Maybe the Bills should go with all white (current or throwback) since white over blue didn't work out so well in this stadium the last time. Scroll ahead to week 14 and the Steelers posted their normal white jerseys with yellow pants road look. Bills will either be in blue or red jerseys for that one.
  10. I do agree they have to win a playoff game this year as one and done won't cut it, but this team is heading the right direction. Probably going to win the division for the first time in a long time. It took Parcells five years before he won a Super Bowl with the Giants in 1986. His first year (1981) they went 3-12-1. Give it time. Both Beane and McDermott are doing a good job so far.
  11. 8-3 and first place in the division and you are depressed? I hope you weren't around during the 1984 and 85 seasons.
  12. This is so true. Look at the Raiders. They beat the Chiefs the 1st time and then gave them a really good game the 2nd time. Yesterday they get their asses kicked by a bad Falcons team 43-6. I guess the bandwagon on the Gruden/Raiders will get lighter this week.
  13. If they started today we would get the Browns. The Titans win has them as the #3 as we drop to #4. Cleveland is the top WC team. Of course things will probably change over the next 5 weeks. The AFC is strong this year. KC, PITT, CLE, BAL (when healthy), TEN, INDY. Whoever the Bills get on WC weekend (assuming they take care of business the final 5 weeks) they will have their hands full.
  14. The end of the game was comical. The Bills inability to defend the hail mary and the Chargers pathetic play calling at the end. Lynn will probably be fired. Talentwise that isn't a 3-8 football team especially with Herbert playing so well
  15. 49ers had a nice win yesterday and they are getting healthier. This will not be an easy game but then again when do the Bills ever have an easy time of it.
  16. At least here in the NY/NJ area its been known for some time that Cuomo is a Bills fan. The media here has asked him why he doesn't support the Jets or Giants and he says he grew up a Bills fan. You can tell we are having a good season when the biggest complaints on this board are we don't win pretty enough. Win by 1 or 31 I don't care. A win is a win. The Bills do need to fix some things like every team does. Can't turn the ball over like that as it will cost them in the future. If the Bills ever decide to make the all white throwbacks their permanent home uniform I would love that. Its their best look AINEC.
  17. This past week's loss was a tough one but just think of what Oilers fans went through after "The Comeback" and that was a playoff game.
  18. Sable Starr
  19. Little Dennis was asked to say grace for the family at Thanksgiving dinner this year. "I'm going to pray the way mommy does: 'Oh God . . . , Oh god . . . , don't stop . . . , Jesus . . . Oh my god, yes . . . .'"
  20. If they do that would mean a perfect 6-0 vs the AFCE. When was the last time the Bills went undefeated against the division.
  21. Same. The Bills seem to matchup well against Miami. Even this years Pats team gave the Bills all they could handle. If not for a Newton fumble that game is either going to OT or the Pats win. I think the Bills can beat the Pats at NE but it will be a tough game especially in primetime.
  22. Best reason and maybe the only reason to have DirecTv is the Sunday Ticket. Could care less what games are shown in my area. I get every game and I will be watching the Ravens-Titans followed by the Dolphins-Broncos.
  23. It would be nice but I think they go 4-2 the rest of the way. Lose to Pitt, split the NE/SF games, win the rest.
  24. I wouldn't be to sure about that. Ben is nearing the end and if they win it all I could definitely see him retiring. Nothing left to prove. As I mentioned Pitt won't be picking at the top of the draft anytime soon so if they feel Darnold can be their QB of the future for the next 12-15 years then I could see them making a trade to acquiring him. Would backing up a future HOF for a year or so be a bad thing for Darnold?
