Is seems like L&M know what they are doing. They asked permission from the Leafs to interview Lou when he was working for them. I believe they(Leafs) wanted Lou to stay on as an advisor but wanted ( I forget who it was) to be the GM. L&M were willing to give Lou control of the hockey ops which is why Lou agreed to come here. I can't answer on the Pegula's. Looking at it from the outside it looks like the Pegula's are good owners in NFL but horrible NHL owners. Which is weird but if ownership is bad then its bad. If its good then its good. The Pegula's have managed to be both good and bad owners which is rare.

Quick answer on the Isles is their owners L&M (Jon Ledecky & Scott Malkin) are the best thing to happen to the them. They got the new arena in Belmont being built which is coming along great. Hiring of Lou Lamoriello and Barry Trotz have completely turned the organization around. The Sabres(Terry/Kim) really should follow the Isles lead. Closer to home the Bills are another example of what happens when quality people are in charge. The Pegula's see what happens when you have the right people in charge (Bills) so why they can't or won't do the same for the Sabres is odd.

What those Bills teams accomplished starting in late 80's thru the early 90's was amazing. Bill, Marv, Jim, Thurman, Bruce, Andre and those teams are legends and will always be looked at favorably. But if the Bills win a Super Bowl even if its just one Super Bowl that will have a greater impact than what those Bills teams in the 90's accomplished. The celebration in WNY would be legendary if/when the Bills win it all.

You just listed a bunch of reasons/examples as to why Terry/Kim need to find a true hockey person to run the show. Its the only way to turn this around. Its easy for me to state the obvious but the hard part is can Terry/Kim find that person. I am starting to think they got lucky with the hiring of Beane-McDermott. Its one of those...."even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while" or "a broken clock is right twice a day" type of situations.

The Bills should have beaten the Giants. Washington just physically dominated them and Dallas was the better team. That was back when the NFC won something like 12 or 13 Super Bowls in a row. People used to say the NFC championship game was the real Super Bowl. That Giant game though was the one that got away. That was the year the Bills should have been Super Bowl champions.

Firing the coach wont do a thing. The Sabres need a true hockey person to run the entire ops. See Lou Lamoriello and NYI as an example of what can happen when a qualified person is in charge. Having Terry/Kim fire the GM/HC only to be in charge of hiring the next GM/HC means nothing.

Absolutely. The Bills win a Super Bowl with McDermott as coach ( I believe they will) then not only does he move ahead of Marv on the Bills coaching list but Josh also moves ahead of Jim as the best Bills QB in franchise history. If their was ever a team and region where winning a championship would lead to an epic celebration its the Buffalo Bills and WNY.

They get credit for hiring Beane and McDermott but they aren't reason the Bills have made the playoffs in three of the last four years. Beane and McDermott are calling the shots. I give credit to the Pegula's for finding the right people for the Bills and then letting them do their jobs. They need to find the hockey version of Beane and McDermott and do the same thing for the Sabres.

Well the "BS" certainly describes how they run the team. I am waiting for the highly anticipated Buffalo Bills "BB" hat to come out.

I wonder if Josh signs a long term deal like Mahomes and goes for a similar contract 10 years 400-500 million or will he sign a shorter deal like Dak at 4 years in hopes he leads the Bills to a Super Bowl championship in which case he can go for a bigger payday than Mahomes when his contract is up

Owners like Ralph Wilson, Lamar Hunt from the old AFL days played key roles with the AFL/NFL merger. They helped build the foundation to what football has become today.

Nothing against the owners (Terry and Kim) but the success of the Bills is 100% Beane & McDermott along with the coaches/players. Owners just need to hire the right people to run the show, sign the checks, then STFU and GTFO. Do you think Robert Kraft is the reason the Pats had a dynasty these past 20 years? His sitting in his luxury box wearing top of the line suits was key to the Pats winning Super Bowls.

Wait till the Bills get a new stadium. I have seasons for the Jets( two tickets). The last year at Giants Stadium they were $75 a ticket. So $150 x 10 games = $1500. It was also $20 to park so $20 x 10 = $200. It was $1700 for everything at Giants Stadium. At MetLife $125 per ticket. So $250 x 10 = $2500. Parking is the same so add $200 for that. PSL fee $1000 per year for 10 years. My PSL fee is $5000 per seat. I am paying it over 10 years. Bottom line $1700 at Giants Stadium. $3700 at MetLife. Buffalo is a different market than the NYC/NJ market so the prices may be different but you know the Pegula's won't be paying for a new stadium. That honor goes to Bills season ticket holders.

General History and where I am at with the Bills.

Just give me one Super Bowl championship season. I want them to win more obviously but just one in my lifetime and I will be happy. -
Kim is just stating what everybody knows. Expectations for the Bills will be extremely high with the fanbase and media. I think Beane, McDermott, the team will meet that challenge. This team is setup to compete for and win a Super Bowl this upcoming season. The pressure is really on Beane to have a good FA period and draft. I believe FA starts next week on the 17th if I am not mistaken.

They probably won't raise them. I wouldn't even know where to begin to fix the Sabres. Obviously they need an experienced hockey man with a history of winning to run the entire hockey ops. Who that would be I have no idea. Finding that person is the biggest challenge for the Pegula's. We have seen what having the right people run the Bills has accomplished.
-
I mentioned this before but even though I am a Bills fan I have seasons to the Jets. The Jets haven't raised the prices of their tickets for three years now. Given the product they put on the field they probably should lower the price
-
No surprise given the season they just had. The Pegula's know the demand for season/individual tickets will be insane as the Bills future is extremely bright.

Agree but I feel the same way about all people in the spotlight. I could care less what goes in in the lives of all celebrities and athletes. It doesn't affect my life one way or the other.

Schedule release most likely in May

WTF with a Monday night playoff game. I liked the triple header for Saturday/Sunday playoff games. They should definitely keep that. -
But he stayed out of the way and let Bill run the show. Look how that turned out. While owners are the big bosses they really need to STFU and GTFO and let their qualified people run the team. The Pegula's problem is it doesn't seem like they can find such people to run the Sabres. They have with the Bills though.
