  1. Tailgating has been confirmed in NJ. I would imagine NY will do the same for the Bills.
  2. For those who missed it here are highlights from last night Isles-Lightning game..
  3. Half a decade from 1980 is 1985. There was nothing "Glory" about that season. 1984 and 1985 were some dark times for those of us around who suffered thru them. The pieces were being put in place with the draft but the good times didn't start until 1988.
  4. WFT is dumb. Personally I don't think they should have changed the name. If they want a new name I could see Redtails or some other name that is close to Redskins.
  5. Especially since Buffalo is known for their tailgating. Having restaurants, bars, and shops inside the stadium isn't needed.
  6. I should have picked up on that. I have been to Bills games and I know the area is a hard working blue collar community. It will be interesting to see what the Pegula's charge for the Buffalo market. I doubt it will be what we pay in NJ since we have NYC's corporate support the teams can count on.
  7. Yes. I hear the advertisements on radio and TV commercials all the time when football season gets closer. My PSL fee is one of the cheaper ones. Its $5000 per seat. I have two tickets and I am paying it over 10 years. Of course the Jets are charging me interest since I didn't pay it one shot.
  8. A lot of them will get priced out though. At Giants Stadium both the Jets and Giants had 78,000 season ticket holders as well as people on a waiting list. I think the Giants still sellout with season ticket holders but the Jets don't. They having been trying to sell seasons and individual tickets since MetLife opened. Either people don't want to pay it or can't afford it. It sucks but that is the reality with new stadiums.
  9. Yes like raised ticket prices and PSL fees. I went thru this going from Giants Stadium to MetLife. At Giants Stadium everything cost me $1700. At MetLife its $3700. Nice things indeed. Enjoy the current stadium for as long as you can. New stadiums aren't worth the cost IMHO.
  10. Frank Bonner dead: ‘WKRP in Cincinnati’ actor dies at 79 - syracuse.com Sorry but its not letting me post the link to the story.
  11. The AFCS should be a good battle between them and the Colts.
  12. I can't see wearing one in August or Sept. Being out with a mask on when the temps are in the 80's and 90's just isn't comfortable.
  13. If last season is any indication then the Chargers hit a HR with Justin Herbert as their QB. He is an exciting player to watch and will probably develop into one of the best QB's in the game.
  14. I don't hate the red helmets and the uniforms the Bills had during the SB years were nice. Its just that the white helmet is nicer. The charging Buffalo stands out more on the white helmet. The only thing I hate about the Bills uniforms are the all blues (they look like Ball State) and the all reds. Every other look is nice.
  15. If Ben can remain decent then yes I wouldn't count them out either. There were times where he looked like Peyton did when he was in his last year. We all remember what Manning looked like at the end. Lucky he had a fantastic D to get him his second ring. As for the Bills step one is win the division. The Fins and Pats could present problems if ( A BIG IF) they get decent QB production. But I don't get the hype with Tua and I have a feeling Jones may be starting at some point as Cam is not the same player anymore.
  16. Sounds like the perfect home for the Chargers who would still have troubling selling it out.
  17. Isles fan here. The Sabres would be wise to say no to Capuano.
  18. Not really a cover for Madden but a cool picture anyway.
  19. The Bills did beat the Raiders that year at home 24-7 in week 4. The only Raiders score came off a pick 6. The Bills would have been a solid favorite if they had met in the AFC Championship game.
  20. The thing that really hurt in 1980 was getting swept by the Colts. Win one of those games and I believe the Bills would have had homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Good chance it would have been the Bills vs Eagles instead of the Raiders in the Super Bowl.
  21. Probably one of the best regular season games in Bills history. Yes, the game was sloppy with all the turnovers, but it ended the streak. People storming the field and going crazy like the Bills had just won the Super Bowl tells you how important that win was.
  22. 41 years later $13.00 may buy you a beer at the stadium (MAYBE)!!!
  23. I was 12 and I remember it well. End of the streak.
