Didn't the Steelers start last year off like 10-0 or 11-1 or something like. Ben will be at strongest in the beginning of the season before the hits and wear and tear of playing factor in. Bills should win but I agree with you this will be close.

I will say 12-5 or 13-4. We always have one of those losses that is "THAT LOSS". A game the Bills shouldn't lose but do. I could see losing to Miami at home as being "THAT LOSS" or on the road at Jacksonville. That one loss that is a kick right in the nuts and has everyone pissed off. Last season it was the Cardinals game. I do think the Bills win the division. What kind of seed they end up its to early for that. Have a better idea late Nov or early Dec just waiting to see how the AFC plays out.

Their front 7 on D is solid but the secondary is questionable. Put it this way if the Bills OL can give Allen time to throw he will torch them badly. The Bills WR's vs the Jets DB's is a big mismatch. Also their OL is solid as is their WR's. Saleh should be a big upgrade over Gase. We will see how he manages the games when they count with timeouts and challenges. I have 6-8 as their ceiling floor. I hope they split with the Fins/Pats and lose the rest. -

I hope you are right but I think the Jets will be better than people think. Getting rid of Gase is a huge plus for them. They have talent on the team. Their front 7 is solid although the Lawson injury is huge especially if he misses significant time or the entire year. They rebuilt their OL and receivers (at least on paper) is much better. Obviously a lot depends on Wilson and how well he does. I say 6 to 8 wins. I definitely think they can split with the Fins and Pats. Neither one of those teams has a QB. Cam looked done last year and Tua is "meh". The Bills should sweep them though. -

You should have some interesting family conversations during Bills-Jets games in the future.

There is no such thing as an average Bills fan. Pats fans that is a different story. You mention Steve Grogan, Andre Tippett to them and they have no clue. They have no knowledge of anything before Parcells and Bledsoe. Once the Pats start to suck again they will go back to being Giants fans while following only the Sox, B's and Celtics.

Just saw that Josh Rosen got cut by the 49ers. At the time I was hoping the Bills would take Rosen in the draft. Good thing Beane knows what he is doing because clearly I don't. -
I wonder if Allen plays in this one. Hopefully he gets to play some before the Steelers game. Of course he may only play vs GB in the final preseason game.

18-5 in their last 23 and now they occupy the 1st WC spot. Didn't see this coming as I thought they were dead after the 1st half of the season.

Lets hope this happens 2 more times in 2021. -
With many of the real Jets fans being priced out at MetLife the scene isn't as crazy. Both the Jets and Giants lost a lot of their homefield advantage with it being more of a corporate crowd. Wearing Bills gear at MetLife isn't as dangerous as it was during the Giants Stadium/ Shea days. Fights can still break out at MetLife but its not as crazy as it used to be. if anything its more trash talking and yelling back and forth at one another. Also ever since the Bills became a good team again Bills fans have been showing up in large numbers at MetLife.

If I remember correctly the Jets gave out these cheap looking paper hats. The fans were lighting them on fire and throwing them up in the air. The Bills won the game 37-14 or something like that. It was a total beatdown. I remember there were a lot of fights between the Bills and Jets fans that night. It was a crazy atmosphere.

The biggest issue for them is the secondary. Saleh was a good DC with the 49ers and I expect he will have their D playing well. Obviously its preseason and teams go with a vanilla game plan but the Jets have some decent talent on that side of the ball. As for their offense Wilson looked good but again its preseason. I expect he will have his ups and downs like most rookie QB's do. My prediction for them (floor/ceiling) is 6 to 8 wins with their D keeping them in most games. -

I was at MetLife for the Jets-Giants game and I have to be honest their front 7 looks good. I realize its preseason and teams don't game plan but if they can get decent play from their secondary then their D will be good. I expect the Bills will sweep them but I could see Allen having to scramble to avoid the rush given that our OL isn't the greatest and their front 7 will cause problems. Also Dumbass is no longer their HC which is a big plus for them. -
I wouldn't be surprised if the Chargers challenge them for the division.

Salary cap will eventually see to that when they can't pay everyone. I know our divisional/rivalry games are usually the most important on the schedule but those B2B games at the Chiefs, Titans are the most important. Win those and get the head to head tiebreaker over them and its a good chance the Bills are the #1 seed assuming they handle business with the rest of their schedule which they should do.

I agree they are definitely behind the Chiefs, Bills and Browns. I also like the Colts as well. Reich has done a nice job with them.
