Gronk. He is someone we could realistically get and at a decent price. I would love to get Von Miller but I don't think it works for us cap wise.

Given Barkley's injuries I wouldn't call him a big time signing. This isn't Penn St Barkley anymore.

Per today's Daily News the Jets are expected to release WR Jamison Crowder. Any interest?

Chris Simms: Josh Allen best player in the NFL
Greg S replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need the defense to step up against good teams with good QB's. They do that then a Lombardi is a very real possibility. -
What changes will Ken Dorsey bring to the Bills offense?
Greg S replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same here. The Bills offense is fine. Allen throwing is their bread and butter. For me when it comes to the run game let Singletary do more and Allen do less. -

Bottom line for me is Allen should run less. He will take enough hits as it is with sacks, QB pressures, and trying to escape the rush. No reason for him to take extra shots. At least they should do this during the grind of a 17 game season. Playoffs are different. At that point everything is on the table as you are trying to win a championship. Especially a team like the Bills who are so close. -

Allen was the biggest threat running the ball. That has to change. I am not expecting Singletary to put up Henry or Taylor numbers but an 1100 to 1200 yard season is doable especially with 17 games. I know the Bills are a passing team first but we need more production from the run game without Josh. -
I don't know what their Cap situation is but the Steelers may try to hit a HR and go for Rodgers( if he leaves GB) or Wilson. They get a good QB then they are a threat in the AFC again.
-
Good point. The Steelers are another example of a team that could show interest in him. I do think the Giants will make him an offer though. All the more reason to bring in some competition for Jones. He needs to be pushed and face some pressure to win the job. From what I have seen of him is he isn't great but he hasn't been awful either. It also doesn't help that the Giants OL is garbage.

A recent Shout made me think, who is the greatest blind singer?
Greg S replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall
For me its Stevie Wonder. -
What if he signs cheap but wins the starters job? The Giants declined to pick up the option on Jones so you know Schoen and Daboll aren't sold on him.

I remember opening day in 1984 vs the Pats and the attendance was around 47,000 and that was for opening day. Bills Mafia wasn't much of a mafia in the 70's and mid 80's that is for sure.

Hopefully he can develop a better running game with the RB's doing the running. I love Allen's game but I would like to see less running from him if the Bills can get better production from the RB's. Of course Josh continuing to throw the ball effectively all over the field is a must. -
Trubisky has Giants written all over him. Schoen and Daboll know him. They also declined to pick up the option on Jones so that says they aren't completely sold on him as the future going forward. This year is a make or break year for him. Trubisky probably sees the Giants as an opportunity to win the starters job.

Didn't the league do away with the blackout rule. So if the game isn't sold out its still shown in the local market. Add in Covid and more people prefer watching at home on TV especially if you have the Sunday Ticket and RZ package. I still love going to the games and tailgaiting as well but watching at home is more comfortable.

Per Adam Schefter: Cowboys likely to release Amari Cooper
Greg S replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't expect Cooper in Buffalo but he would have to be willing to restructure that contract. But with him added to the WR's we have that would be fun to watch. Again I don't think its happening either. -

They have a lot of Cap space and Joe Douglas has already mentioned in the NY media the need to get Wilson some weapons on offense. So it wouldn't surprise me if they sign him. -

Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
Greg S replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
It will really come down to how well Beane can draft, how smart he is with FA, and how he manages the Cap. The Pats kept their window to win open for 20 years with the GOAT QB by making smart decisions with their roster. I don't think McDermott is on the hot seat but if they fail to reach the Super Bowl then I could see the seat getting warmer assuming no devastating injuries that kill their chances happen. Their is a lot of pressure next year on them no doubt. -
Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham
Greg S replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know if we will sign Gronk but I think I found the Bills next punter. -

The defense absolutely needs to be better. I don't care what the ranking was they were not a #1 defense. Got shredded against good teams every time. It will be interesting to see what Beane does this offseason with the draft and FA. I know CB is a need but I hope Beane can improve the front 7 with an improved pass rush and run defense. -

I understand the Bills having a lot of players play back but they should have had someone in Hill and Kelce's face on that play. Don't let them run down field uncontested like they did. 13 seconds cost us a good shot at winning the Super Bowl. McDermott ****ed up in that spot. That is on him in how they played coverage on that play. I won't get over 13 seconds until the Bills are back in the playoffs ready to make another run.
