Dukestreetking replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
@Justice Yalla 'ahki!** I'm trying to work with you here. But, I must reply to your comments re Mo Amer and the "peace rally". If I may deconstruct: You: He’s standing for those he thinks needs standing up for more...Therefore Mo speaks up for those that are voiceless. Ugghhhh! This drives me nuts, as it's just a toss-off talking point. I mean, are you f'ing kidding me: do you really think Pals are "voiceless"? Have you ever been to/read/heard anything from UNRWA, UNHCR, EU, most governments, most international institutions, college campuses worldwide, Putin, Lavrov, Raisi, etc, etc, etc? This BS "voiceless" shibboleth must stop now. It's not true, does not survive critical thinking, and perpetuates a victimhood mentality that propagates a violence culture (yes, I've spent alot of non-tourist time in G&WB) You: Israel has been given a green light to kill their adversary and anyone in their way...Israel can wipe Palestinians off the face of the earth if they wanted to. Again, are you kidding me? Do you have first hand experience with Izzie, or US, or anyone's, military and strategic planning, operations, or culture? There's always more lawyers than you can shake a stick at. It's just dumb: nobody, in all my experience, has ever had a "license" to wipe anyone off the map. It's literally bananas. Maybe you're thinking of the Einsatzgruppen or the Hutu, or... Speaking of which, I guess the Izzies are kinda familiar with getting wiped off the face of the earth. Explain to me--logically, concisely--the current RoE, and I will let you off the hook. You: Palestinians weren’t given the same... Please re-read the Hamas (and other charters). I mean the real charter, not the BS political version. Really? Not "given" the same opportunity to wipe people off the map. It freaking quotes Hasan Al Bana and the Protocols, for christ sakes. Ok, I'm done. Peace good, war bad. ** Please stop the lack of critical thinking, and I'll stop with my crappy, very rusty Fusha. -

Yeah, fair enough. Mo Amer is pretty funny; seen him twice. Love the way he explains kos imak(!!)...and other Arabic swearing. But, gun to head, who's he really supporting? I mean he's a Pal, wearing a friggin coat that mirrors the Pal keffiyeh. If he showed up wearing a half-checked/half blue-white coat (or whatever) then I'd give him a little more credibility. But, ok, I'll give him benefit of the doubt on this one. -
Your very true feelings for tomorrow outcome
Dukestreetking replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
C'mon Fire, hang with me brother...do you really think I "fear" fan reaction, or this board?? It was a joke. But, as I should remember, sarcasm doesn't travel well on the inter-webs. -
Good choice OP (not incl @Taro Nimbus tragic memory. Allen 4TD/0TO/355y total. Team and fan base could use that about now.

Personally not worried about an L. My real fear: if close or, god forbid, we lose...this board will become autotrophic. -
Agree, and agreed. Evil Me sometimes wants to go old school, like w race horses back in the day (I spent waaay too much time at Keenland): shoot 'em up with Buprenorphine and have at it. I keeed, I keeed...

Goddamnit, I promised I would not further reply on this thread...I hate myself already! But, I'll try to be nice: please, please try to understand "blast analysis" before you comment. I'll put it simply: a JDAM makes a huge crater, propagates enormous over-pressure, has a very particular impact acoustic, and doesn't create an orange-red fireball. Go find available pics of the impact crater; it is TINY. Review the video you posted earlier. Look at the cars: they would be flat as pancakes from a JDAM. Zero question: this is impact via high order explosion from an unburnt glucose-nitrate (or other double-base) rocket motor, with secondary burn effects. Relating to your other comments: sorry you feel this way, and will simply reply "wa 'alaykum salam". -
Btw, my favorite play schematically was Gilliam running a "deep" out from the slot (2nd play/2nd series). Obviously, the primary target was Diggs on the quick slant but...the DB handed 41 off to the LB, who broke on it for two steps, then focused back to middle coverage. My point: kinda, sorta looked like 41 was going to be wide open (see around 3:30+ in vid). Would have loved to see the big man lumber down the field after catch, with lots of open grass in front of him.

For perspective: D is right now playing down $58M worth of players (cap hits +/-, incl Von here). And still showing up. Imagine your (not gigantic) business taking a $58 million hit, and still putting out quality product.

I'm not going to get in the middle of a Trump v Obama kerfuffle but...dude, are you freaking kidding me? In 2014, Russia annexed a little place called Crimea (part of UKR) then followed that up by taking over all of the Donbas (part of UKR). All using Russian troops. Euromaidan movement? Yanukovych? Little Green Men? Please tell me you've heard something about this, given that it was literally the start of the goddamn UKR-RF War. Pretty sure Obama was POTUS in 2014. And I think (maybe I'm wrong!) Putin was RF president in 2014. Uggh. Enough of this thread. Driving me nuts!! On the positive side: you are absolutely correct on this one. -
Zack Moss quietly having a very nice season so far
Dukestreetking replied to Dubie54's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm honestly not sure how to assess Moss. On such issues, I've decided on my strategy going forward: wait until @HoofHearted weighs in, then agree with everything he says. -

Yeah, I got that sense for some of your posts on the other board. Pretty sure I "awesomed" (real word?) some of them. If not...know that you will always be my brother. (btw, I don't have the dignity of being a formal vet...no uniform. I was one of those weirdos, in civies but fully geared, riding around w CAG or DEVGRU or whomever the real heroes were) -

Dukestreetking replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ok, copy all. We were talking past each other. I agree that, right now, the stated policy is full closure. You are absolutely correct, and I will keep abreast of the development. Note: even during Cast Lead, Israel was allowing (short-term) openings thru Rafah and one other crossing that I can't remember. My ref to The Blockade™ was to allegations over the years that ISR was "blockading" by capriciously closing some of the crossings. A test for you, as I'm writing this all from memory: w/o using the Google machine (be honest), can you give me the objective reasons why, say, the Sufa or Karni crossings were closed? Further, can you explain why the ISR plant, providing electricity to Gaza, was constantly attacked with Qassams by Hamas itself??? What is the name of the plant? No peeking. What was the Gladstone Report and why was it so flawed? I'm just playing with you a bit on all the above. This is just a msg board...and I'm obviously going overboard. Last: I see you did not address the "concentration camp" libel. I'm not suggesting you said it; I have no idea. But the person who did say it in this thread better have Dostoevsky-level evidence to demonstrate the assertion. Will do -

Heeey Joe 🎸(sorry, couldn't help myself): obviously, you're a smart dude, so I'll play it straight as possible, w/o trying to be "secret squirrel" douche or get myself into trouble. (also, allow me to say up front that I love the Arab people... gracious, warm, etc) 1. I did see vid posted, did not watch, but got the gist fr surrounding posts. Maybe I'm misinterpreting ... 2. Anyway, I'll just say this: I was on the ground during Intifada, Part Deux. One among many tasks was to test Pal (vernacular) night reaction time to, ummm, a guy wondering into their turf. I was stupid brave back then; even the Izzies (vernacular) thought I was nuts. 3. Tested Herod and Damascus gates, various points along/in Gaza, including drop offs on Salah-al-Din and Rashid "highways". 4. The experiences were... unpleasant. 5. As to your second post ref "way ahead". I'm no military expert but imv: one best fights asymmetric warfare asymmetrically, over the long term. There are tactical and national assets to do so, but I won't bore you with that. Believe me, Fallujah sucked major a**, and I was only at the railroad station north of the city. But if ISR wants to plunge mech brigades into Gaza City (ala OP Cast Lead) I guess they can have at it. -

I'm sorry, but I don't speak Non Sequitur (a little humor). But, seriously, I really have no idea what this means... open-minded to understand you better. (although, frankly, I've spent waaay too much time on this thread already) -

Dukestreetking replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Very much agree. I can't believe what I've read up-thread ref Gaza as modern-day "concentration camp", blockades, and etc. If you (not you personally SUNY) haven't walked the ground--and I don't mean as a civilian tourist--then maybe you need to be more careful about throwing around blood libel accusations. -
Israel and Iran
Dukestreetking replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sorry about that. It's the three-letter code for Israel, often used in military/Intel world. I was not using the acronym in the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance meaning. I was trying to be polite. Your position is that Israel "does not share information beyond a basic level". This is utterly false, tactically, operationally and strategically. See open source reporting re the early demise of Imad Mughniyeh as one example. To be clear: I have enormous respect and admiration for the many relevant Israelis/institutions that I worked with. Indeed, I was often at odds w certain US IC entities b/c we were not sharing enough with them! There are biases that are difficult to overcome. If the above does not suffice, then regretfully I can't spell it out any more clearly. -

Dukestreetking replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Good overall post. Not trying to be a d-bag, but perhaps the above is... well, not quite correct. That said, there is an "interesting" dynamic between ISR IC and their counterparts in other countries (as I suspect you are aware). -
I'll (sort of) repeat myself. Since Jests, JA: TotTDs/TOs = 6.6/1 Hero ball, sloth ball, leader(less) ball, regular ball...I'll take it. [I get it, one can play w the numbers many ways. But this is solid work]
