Trubisky to covid 19 list; Davis Webb elevated from PS
Dukestreetking replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
So, if he has to pass a test tomorrow, and assuming it's PCR: I suspect they'll set that sucker at about one thermo cycle/min, for let's say 2-3 cycles. No fuss, no muss: clean test. -
In case anyone was wondering, Firebaugh blew out Sunnyside, 42-22. On to the next playoff game. (man, I love the google machine)

Hall monitor here: can we please/please keep the discussion w/n parameters suggested by Hap above? I'm not trying to be The Forum D-bag, but some are way over their skis (exception @Ham Sandwich) talking about this/that treatment or drug. Towards this end, I will not give an opinion re monoclonals, mR vax effectiveness, ivermectin value, etc. Imho, the biggest issue is AR as player rep in light of Shield-NFLPA agreement, and behaviors that followed. "Lying" publicly is relatively less important.

Metaphor alert: To explain my odd reference; BUD is often mil-speak for Big Ugly Dude... always the guy carrying the SAW or the M-240, both heavy weapons, which kick the s**t out of the enemy. So: the BUD is reliable, fast, and cleans the battle space...uhh, rather quickly. Somehow, I always think of Z in this context.

Agree, but: Zim good to go: put Zim at safety. Sonnavabitch is so freaking fast (for a BUD), we may not know the difference.😁

Has league-wide officiating gotten worse?
Dukestreetking replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
No doubt. "But I chopped his head off waaay before he sliced my femoral artery" yelled the Gladiator to the Coliseum back judge. -
As I said last week, I want heads on pikes, no a 28-14 W Hope to hell I didn't jinx the team, as I'm aware board posts DO affect game play.

(first time dipping my toe in these waters). Fair point Frankish and don't disagree per se but, having been operational in the national security realm for many years, my view is we are institutionally well past 94. And, as I'm sure you know, most/all(?) of the good stuff passed under a R-lead House. Anyway, to the point: DJT was the person needed at that time and place. An apex predator willing to fight the establishment. For context: I'm a non-R, non-mouth breathing conservative. I agreed w most DJT policies, for which he doesn't get enough credit. My bottom line: DJT should throw his full weight behind DeSantis. I know Haley a bit personally; I like her but she's a bit too "squishy" for my tastes.

...same here; messed up my marriage.

For my 2112th post, for your listening and viewing pleasure

(Apologies for hogging thread) I play rhythm guitar, quite badly if I do say so myself. Thus my chord progressions are not completely terrible, but picking... very meh. I assume I can just transpose the bass line for that "exercise"? -

Holy crap...band is tight. And, once again, I'm impressed w your pinky stretch/hammer ons. This is why I can never play some damn barred, minor sus chord! -

Great vids Drac... would be better if you were playing😎 And, I now know why we rarely hear Alex sing. Thx for reminding us of the genius. -
Has league-wide officiating gotten worse?
Dukestreetking replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Complaint: the on-field review process, incl the tech. 1a: NY makes the final call. If so, why are game refs even looking at video? Time waste and other issues. 1b: Single NY source gone this year (Riveron) replaced by multiple review officials. Not transparent. Do coaches know exactly, on xyz play, who might review? If no, affects decision to challenge, as they won't know tendencies. 2. The field review screen is just weird to me. Challenge flag thrown. Call for the "pissboy" to run out w a clunky-looking monitor. And though it has a strap, they always hold it. Different povs, light impact, possible shaking. images.mp4 -
An o/t hat tip "awesome" to you sir...just b/c your's is now, far and away, my favorite forum name. Prurient, vulgar, objectionable...but with a healthy dash of very clever, a splash of independent thought, and just damn funny as hell.

OMG, like I totally love PFF now. /s

Singletary Appreciation Thread
Dukestreetking replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. Give him roughly same # attempts as Zeke, Chub, Mixon...and we're all talking about a Top 5 back, ypg. That's about 5-6 more attempts/g. I'm NOT suggesting team go this route, but simply adding perspective to the discussion. This is to say nothing of his PB excellence (imv)...or relatively poor reception skills. Bottom line: send him to the RB equivalent of TE U and Bills may really have something. -
Hah, Peyton just invoked the "matriculate down the field" quip. Must be following @oldmanfan
-
Don't know about the game: I'm just waiting for the 3rd Q shenanigans.

As this thread leans to the offensive side, I'll add: Bills need to enact the Tasker Law, and pull McKitrick from returns to fully focus on offensive duties. Perhaps this is a controversial point. But...it seems the O is lacking that extra 5-10 percent "pop" that moves one from very, very good to Lombardi Land. Would IM jets, chunk yd plays (or threats thereof) be the answer? Not entirely sold, but think it's worth a shot. Hell, maybe they're saving such a change for January.

If we get to the SB...any fear of Tampa Bay?
Dukestreetking replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really respect Brady. There, I said it. Can't say anything bad about his body of work; speaks for itself. But, and for the first time, he actually looked old last night at T-2min. Bucs I consider a serious threat, but not one to fear per se.
