  1. Bills, other teams, the League itself: all employ ex-cops to conduct these investigations. Reading the actual filed complaint, experienced investigators would be well aware of, and check, the absolute "knowables": (1) if an immediate report was filed w "local law enforcement" (language in complaint) (2) if a SANE test was indeed conducted Naturally, there are other material facts that can be discovered with relatively minimal digging. Snapchat is another matter entirely, unless local LEO, at time of alleged incident report, had access to, and then preserved, that information.
  2. Good point WEO. A good friend of mine, Peter Landesman (shameless name-dropping) wrote and directed the CTE-related movie, Concussion. At the time, there was quite a bit of push back from The Shield, so I asked him if he thought his film would fundamentally change things. His reply, paraphrasing, "not a fu*king chance".
  3. Kurt Schulz. Married a HS friend of mine, so I got to know him fairly well through the years. Extremely good guy, and has had a successful, post-NFL career advising players financially. Anyway, as you know, he is/was not a big dude. But, holy crap: I've played pickup basketball and hockey w him, and one cannot imagine the difference b/n us normies and truly gifted athletes. The guy is incredible, even into his early 50s (he's now left WNY).
  4. Brother, I had my first and only at 43. It was/is...taxing. No idea how you're surviving. (aaand...back to your regularly scheduled thread)
  5. Again just popping in quickly: some solid arguments made on both "sides". I'm impressed w PPP which, well, sometimes doesn't have the best rep, lol! @ComradeKayAdams we may have different perspectives on domestic or geopolitical issues, but I "liked" you bc you present (fr what I've seen) reasoned, sober thinking. Seriously, I respect that. But...I will briefly take issue with your statement: “Imminent” = on the order of days or weeks or months, not a year or longer. There has been ZERO evidence suggesting the danger was imminent. Perhaps some folks here have/had what is called CNWDI or Q clearance. If so, they might understand my gentle suggestion: When one looks syncretically re the corpus of current and historical evidence (open or otherwise) of the IR NWP--or even data of other nuclear powers--there is most assuredly an "imminent path" from A to B. What one does with that understanding is another matter entirely. I'm not trying to be overly opaque...but it's what I can offer here.
  6. Quick comment, as normally I read entire threads before I weigh in (I don't have the chance right now). Just general atmospheric statement, based on experience: many, many, many things go bump in the night. So, I suspect we publicly know a tiny slice of ground-truth, and the related operations. This would include not only precise BDA, but also (potential) follow-on ops, across any spectrum one might imagine. I'll eschew any political comment. Out here, DSK
  7. Very interesting analytic framework. Well done, sir.
  8. Dear sweet baby Jesus, Please don't let this guy pull a hammy in, say, late November. Is that too much to ask? Sincerely, (most) Bills fans
  9. Very well said boater, good on 'ya. I fear too many of us live with Survivor's Guilt. It's punishing.
  10. Thank you my friend: I am very familiar with this letter, as are many I've known in the field. If there's a more eloquent description of service and sacrifice, I do not know about it.
  11. Hard core brother. Many thanks for doing this, in honor of LT Murphy (USN, SEAL).
  12. break/break Sherpa, above, reminds me of a thought: If you've lost someone to battle--or, ultimately, to the Ravages once the guns are silent--feel free to leave their names here, to be etched in TBD granite. For me, too damn many, so I'll just note: COL McCarthy, 5th Grp SGM Lamantia, 5th Grp Moses (callsign) CAPT Pollard, 5th Grp MSG Rendina, 107th Bama (callsign) Mikey (callsign)
  13. Deepest condolences for your would-be Uncle, and to Bruce Williams (I assume CMDR or above, I don't speak Navy). And thank you for your service...no kidding.
  14. Amidst the beer, BBQ, and good holiday humor, today should also be one of somber reflection, if even briefly. For, this day, we humbly honor The Fallen: those who have given their lives--in battle and beyond--to this nation. Their deaths echo across lost futures, devastated families, loved ones, and friends, eternally mournful. But now they're just weathered dog tags, hard tears, and faded flowers, laid across wistful graves. So I'll paraphrase Lincoln and suggest it must be we, the living, who solemnly pay tribute to their service and sacrifice, or, I fear, they will just drift from our memory. Therefore I ask, most respectively: please take a few moments this day, bow your heads, and pray for our lost brothers-and-sisters-in-arms, and those bereaved. V/r, DSK
  15. Gotta admit OMF, you're my favorite (slightly cranky!) old school Bills fan. You've definitely earned it brother.
  16. Fair enough Promo, you are a gentleman and a scholar, good sir (not sarc). So, now, can we please move on to eating technique? Every WNY-er knows the Art of "One-Handed-Pushdown-One-Bite-Clean-Bone". Oh, but they will learn these young Padawan, they will learn.
  17. I like all of their personalities, but believe I'm gonna be man-crushing over Mad Max and LJ.
  18. Interesting Mango. As I know you're aware, Tren is popular in the "community" (note: I've never used it or any gear). But, to your comment: is/are there allowable trace amounts, or were you just kidding? I'm aware that it's a long cycle (40 or so days) so it would be dangerous to use vis a vis getting popped on a test.
  19. Our Long Snapper's quads are much bigger than Dalton Kincaid's. We're doomed.
  20. Dearest Terry, please bring Bills TC back to Niagara University, as it is now 3 min from my house. Your biggest fan, DSK (Hoping this will sway the organization, as I'm sure they monitor TBD)
  21. Let's all hold hands and pray that LJ never becomes "King of Suck Balls Mountain" Nota bene: I don't think he will be; it's just an obscure/funny Barry quote involving No Ho Hank
  22. I don't know man, his legs look skinny.
  23. Nah Ridgeway: the lil guy has way bigger feet than me.
  24. Since everyone is throwing their weight around: I'm 5'8, lean, low center of gravity 182.** Many, many years of training. Basically, I resemble a 'roided out Attack Hamster. To the point: pictures are deceptive, but...yikes, dude ain't looking Beane yoked. ** all natural
