The Bills will be better in 2024 and everyone overreacted

Having a bunch of guys that would’ve been cut on a better roster does not make your team better. It actually makes it worse. -

???? Nick Broeker, Alex Austin, Justin Shorter, Shakir, Benford, Araiza, Tenuta, Spector, Doyle, Stevenson, Wildgoose, Hamlin, Anderson, Fromm, Bass, Hodgins, Jackson. That’s 4 years of day 3 picks. I count 4 guys who are starters at the NFL level including a KICKER, and 1 of them that “seriously” contributed for the Bills as a rookie and wasn’t a kicker. Out of 17 picks. But this is the draft where we are gonna get 2 or 3 of them. Because we need it to happen, I guess? -
I don’t think the growing thing matters. I think that teams, years ago, decided they should do everything they to help their QB develop into a great passer. Run game is irrelevant. Defense is irrelevant. Surround your QB with weapons and figure out if he’s the guy. Levis is gonna get a shot. And unless Hopkins is shot, Levis can win 9 games on that team and prove he’s the guy. Then you can worry about everything else. Man I gotta say, merging EVERY big FA signing into the free agent tracker thread is really silly. For little deals, sure I get it. for the big names or potential Bills targets? Just asinine. What else do we have to talk about?

This is a terrible plan. Not only has Beane never had a draft where more than 3 guys have “seriously” contributed day one, but to bank on the draft as a “plan” when picking late in rounds and having lots of day 3 picks is just awful when you know it’s a complete crapshoot. We currently have 1 starting safety on the roster. Why? Because every safety that Beane and co. drafted in their tenure here has sucked. -
Meh, I think he looked alright last year.

They are paying DHop too. I guess they believe in Levis. I wonder if Burks is on the block.

Shocking amount of money.

We all saw how guys like Trent and Deonte and Sanders and Gabe performed at varying bargain prices lol

I’m either too old or too young to understand what is even being referenced here.

Greg Rousseau 5th year option, extension candidate?
FireChans replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair enough. I guess I’m not as high on Rousseau’s pass rush potential as y’all are. Imo, I could easily see Rousseau playing 70+% of snaps and still be a 6 or 7 sack guy. Sometimes the edge rush light never comes on for these guys. -
100%. He is a bigger Gabe Davis with injury history.
-
Less than zero interest.

Let the Dolphins be the dopes who think signing top STers matters. I’d like my backups corners to be able to play corner.

Ya’ll keep saying it “clearly would” when the only evidence is speculation. There’s loads of player who played more snaps and had worse sack totals. Especially in a guy who hasn’t proven much as a reliable pass rusher. -

Because I don’t believe that if Greg gets 20% more snaps, he is guaranteed to get 20% more sacks. -

Yeah if he produces more he will get paid. But that’s a stretch of projection, imo. -

I don’t agree that numbers just go up the more you play. Leonard Floyd had more sacks last year with less playing time than the year before. It doesn’t work that way. Brian Burns has proven much more as a pass rusher than Greg, imo. -
Trade up for Cooper DeJean and let Bills land explode.

You should have also listed your magical fifth round rookie that you can’t name. NFL stats 0 tackles 0 QB hits 0 FF 0 FR 0 INT. Poyer (he barely played IIRC) Rapp Hyde I like Rapp a lot. I think he needs to get his discipline coached up a little bit but I have a feeling he’s firmly entrenched as a starter. I just want another vet that can be his Micah Hyde, instead of the next Damar Hamlin or Jaquan Johnson.
