  1. What’s funny is that MVS had basically his career average his first year starting. I’d take my chances on a fourth or fifth round WR contributing this year over Ray Davis. That’s just me though.
  2. The guys that had double digit sacks last year. Pick 30 Pick 7 Pick 103 pick 5 Pick 88 Pick 106 Pick 12 pick 1 Pick 71 Pick 26 Pick 90 Pick 2 UDFA I’m getting tired, I’ll stop there.
  3. Brandon Beane Chess not Checkers Don’t draft 2 WR’s in the best WR class in decades, draft DL and safety, then bargain bin shop for bad old WR’s that are tapped out. MVS is a literal success story as a fifth round pick. So is Quintus Cephus. Why not draft the next version of those guys with potential vs these bums?
  4. Excuse me, are you arguing with Brandon Beane?
  5. He was a terrible WR3/4 but that’s what he was. He was the 4th most targeted WR on the roster. He played 392 snaps to Harty’s 155. He was the de facto boundary starter when Gabe went down with injury. Neither Shakir nor Harty played outside as much as he did. Just like Mack Hollins will next year. Hell, he played more snaps than Shakir in the playoffs vs the Chiefs.
  6. This has Ravens win big and we all declare the Chiefs dead before their next Super Bowl run written all over it.
  7. The Chiefs acquired two speedy WR’s to replace him. We acquired Keon Coleman.
  8. Plaxico never even made a Pro Bowl man. He got force fed but was horrifically inefficient. Caught 50% of the balls thrown his way lol. He was Gabe Davis with a bigger target share.
  9. Vincent Jackson finished his rookie year with 3 catches and 59 yards. Plax had 22 catches for 273 yards. Let’s hope he’s not.
  10. Last year in Buffalo. Post 6/1 cut
  11. He has interest. I thought you weren’t interested in arguing?
  12. Believe that McD is either: 1. scouting every defensive player we could possibly draft in the first 100 picks 2. Has prescient knowledge about what players will be available when we pick and scouts ONLY them lol There’s conjecture then there’s conjecture lmao Also McD is such a control freak that he had Leslie Frazier call the defensive plays for 4 years and basically has no hand in the offense at all lol
  13. Again, I will ask. When did McD have time to personally scout a third round DT prospect?
  14. Did those Cowboys do it in the NFCCG? Like @GoBills808 said, the running joke that whole season was “the worst 15-1 team ever.” Yet they demolished a 13-3 Cardinals team and then beat the two time defending NFC champion Seahawks. I wouldn’t categorize any team that made it to a SB and lost as “overrated.” I’d categorize them as one of the two teams that season that beat enough teams on their schedule to get to the Super Bowl.
  15. I get it. Lots of folks would rather have a soon to be 25 year old rookie running back over a 27 year old WR with more career receiving yards than our entire group put together. I am eager to see how Ray Davis is used when it’s do or die in the playoffs. My guess? He won’t be out there while Josh runs in circles begging for Mack Hollins to get open. Chalk me up in the, “yes we should’ve” camp.
  16. Are we living on the same TBD? The narrative was obviously that Mahomes would struggle and “let’s see him without 2 HoF targets” lol
  17. That may be true. Calling them overrated after dismantling the 13-3 Cards and the beating the back to back SB team Seahawks is kinda wild though
  18. You know that being booked is going into custody, right? Like he can’t just walk away at that point, right? He has to post bail to leave.
  19. Beane is wistfully remembering the Devin Funchess, Philly Brown, Ted Ginn Jr offense.
  20. Seattle, the back the back NFC champions and the 1st overall defense and 4th overall offense “wasn’t tough?” The Denver defense was elite. They also frazzled Brady. They made a lot of good teams look silly.
  21. Their schedule wasn’t easy in the playoffs. They absolutely annihilated the 13-3 Cards.
  22. Ray Ray needs to make an impact early. He’s gonna be 25 by mid season. He may only have 3 years left.
  23. I didn’t bring up Kincaid. If he continues to get better, he will turn out a fine pick in a vacuum. Same with Torrence. The issue is we don’t live in a vacuum. The whole reason I believe in emphasis on highly paid and high impact positions in the draft is because you may think you are “set” at WR after 2022 and two years later coming into the draft, we didn’t have a quality boundary WR on the roster. The Niners, in a clear cut case, got ahead of that problem. Now, if they end up cutting/trading Deebo outright after a lackluster year, they already have the succession plan in place. And they have a young player they hope will be ready to perform in case he gets hurt again. The Cowboys did this two years ago. Tyron Smith is a HoF tackle. Has health concerns and is getting up there but a truly elite T in the NFL. They could EASILY make the argument, “we don’t need to draft a tackle, we are fine.” But since LT’s are very important and paid accordingly, they drafted one they liked in the first round. Smith got hurt (again) their new LT played quite well and they didn’t come in the draft NEEDING to take an LT. And they STILL took another one in the first this year. The bottom line is that you are one twisted ankle away from Mack Hollins starting in the postseason. Again. Just like we were one twisted ankle from Trent Sherfield starting in the postseason. Again. Just like we were one twisted ankle from Jake Kumerow starting in the postseason. Again. At a certain point, that same problem presenting itself over and over and over becomes harder to defend. Despite Kincaid/Torrence looking like a hit as their high picks.
