  1. Because the RB could also just bust. And RB2 production is production that could be replicated with off the street FA’s. Unless you think there’s a greater chance they are good than other positions. Which honestly might be true, but I don’t think significantly enough. Numbers-wise, let’s say a 4th round RB has a 40% chance of being a complete bust. They have a 40% chance of being a league average back and a 20% chance of being a really good back. Let’s say a 4th round WR has a 60% chance of being a complete bust. They have a 30% chance of being a league average WR and a 10% chance of being a really good WR. In todays NFL where RB’s grow on trees and WR’s are getting QB-lite contracts, how is WR not a better investment even with worse odds?
  2. Cowing or Gould. Fair enough, but imo that means it’s bad strategy to take them before the 6th. Why waste a solid draft pick on a player you are effectively guaranteeing a maximum 4 year career with your team?
  3. The guy who said, “I bet you won’t say that when you watch him play.” I think when you draft a 25 year old running back, he better be contributing week 1, because his career countdown begins.
  4. So, starting in 2019? 2019: 1st on D, second on O 2020: 1st on O, second on D 2021: 1st on D, second on D. 2022: 1st on D, second on O. 2023: 1st on O, second on O. 2024: Second on O, second on D. so 2 firsts and 4 seconds on O. 3 firsts and 3 seconds on D. you’re right, it’s close. But let’s look at the investments themselves. Diggs Cook Kincaid OCT Ford Coleman TBD Now, besides big Cody who sucked, all of those investments have been slam dunks. Partially because Josh is our QB, but that’s the point. Diggs was elite when paired with Josh. There’s a lot of hope that Kincaid will be elite next year. OCT and Cook are good enough to be starters for the near future Let’s look at the defensive investments: Oliver Rousseau Boogie Elam AJE Bishop (TBD) Besides Oliver, do any of these dudes stand out at all? Elam and Boogie are busts. AJE is a rotational backup. Greg Rousseau is an NFL starter. I guess asked a different way, with Josh Allen at QB, would you rather have the first list or the second list? Imo, it’s clear and away the first.
  5. Fair enough. I disagree. I think the defensive investments haven’t been good enough and I think the offensive investments haven’t been enough.
  6. It was. Their other second round pick was a safety and their third round pick was a backup DT. They also got rid of their #1 and #2 WR this off-season. I will ask these questions, point blank. Do you think the Bills, over the course of the last 6 years of Josh Allen’s career, have done enough to put offensive talent around him? Your definition of enough may be different than mine, and that’s fine. Do you think the high round investments in defense have paid off? I’m talking about AJE. Rousseau. Oliver. Edmunds. Boogie. Your definition of paid off may be different than mine, and that’s fine. my answer is no and no.
  7. So when Josh is 35 and the defense continues to implode in the postseason, the answer is still gonna be “we just need to keep drafting DL high?” Interesting. FWIW, Oliver got erased by KC’s IOL. He had 1 assisted tackle. Rousseau has 1 sack and 1 TFL in his postseason career. Terrell Bernard has 5 career postseason tackles. Kinda makes my point for me.
  8. How many more first and second round picks do we need to throw at the defense before we agree the strategy isn’t working?
  9. What if we packaged all the individual streaming services? We put them on one system. You could get a remote and flip a button to switch between them. We could call them “channels.” And we sell the package to folks so they aren’t paying for 20 different networks. I call it…. Cable.
  10. I’m definitely discussing the Bills lol. Nacua is a good example of a guy that a team gets randomly lucky on. Same with ASB. You know what teams don’t get randomly lucky about a 4th round WR? The ones that don’t draft them
  11. Nah, I just think you are wrong. Big difference.
  12. And folks like you that thought that last year watched our OC get fired midseason. so I guess fine is relative, huh?
  13. If you don’t want to discuss the Bills, you don’t have to go on TBD lol
  14. I don't hate this logic... every once in a while. At a certain point, your habits become your strategy. They throw away picks at RB's and don't draft enough WR's. Which is why we are sitting here debating if we've done enough at WR for the third year in a row. I would LOVE to pick Beane's brain about why, with the way WR contracts have exploded and how Josh has elevated when he's surrounded by receiving talent, they have not drafted enough WR's. Not sure I'd get a satisfactory answer.
  15. What? They don’t need to be Puka Nacua or ASB. It would be nice if they were a Khalil Shakir. Or an MVS. Is Ray Davis gonna be the next elite RB? Is he gonna get another contract with the Bills at 29 years old?
  16. It’s not hysterical. That group being one of the most dangerous in the NFL is a direct quote lmao.
  17. You’re wasting your time. The folks around here who don’t follow the rest of the league are the same ones who think Kincaid, Cook, Shakir and Samuel are one of the most dangerous weapon groups in the NFL. maybe behind Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC, Kittle.
  18. Rousseau played more snaps this year than he did last year and had less sacks. Projections don’t work
  19. He said “on June 1st,” FWIW. technically right but with a gigantic qualifier. Imo, the more ridiculous the qualifier you need to use, the more it’s indicative of the player sucking. Case in point: Tyrod Taylor is a great QB. Look at his numbers throwing to the left hash on second down! Josh Allen is a great QB. Look at his numbers.
  20. Our transformation into the 2015 offense is complete. Big contested catch guy with question marks about ability to separate - Devin Funchess and Keon Coleman Speed guy with horrific hands and 3 names - Ted Ginn Jr and MVS TE who is elite receiving adjacent - Greg Olsen and Dalton Kincaid Slot WR only with alligator arms - Philly Brown and Khalil Shakir Athletic monster QB who will be forced to put his body on the line to drag the above guys to SB contention - Cam Newton and Josh Allen Beane finally has the offense that was good enough to get embarrassed in the Super Bowl!
  21. If you’re looking for consistency, look away from MVS catching 2 balls per game in the playoffs.
  22. He played more than twice as much as Harty and had more balls thrown his way. It’s inarguable he was higher than Harty on the depth chat. That one bum outproduced the other bum is less relevant. Those are offensive snaps only. He was the de facto WR2 in the KC game because Gabe was hurt. So he was really WR3 in boundary depth. Because Shakir exists as a slot guy, Sherfield was technically 3/4 imo. It will be the same this year. Mack Hollins or MVS will be starting at outside WR if someone twists an ankle. They won’t be WR5-6. O/U on carries in game 1? line set at 4.5, hammering the under.
