  1. He had 20 total TDs. 12 rushing.
  2. Cam was absolutely a star at his peak. He also had 20 TD’s to 10 INT’s last season. How many back up QB’s in the NFL put up 20 TD’s on offense on that Pats roster? Is Cam still great? No. Is Cam probably one of the best backups in the NFL? Absolutely.
  3. I wonder if Marlon Mack could be a target. Young player, coming off an injury and likely lost his job already
  4. So this is a topic that has popped up in a few threads. Obviously Kelce dominated the NFL this season and has been the #1 TE in football for years now. The question is, how do you stop this guy? And how do you stop him and not get burned? I remember a game, I think 2013. Pats versus the Saints. Jimmy Graham, a star TE and arguably one of the best at his peak, he finished with 1200 yards and 16 TDs. BB had Aqib Talib on the roster (pre-Revis). The strategy was to have Talib press coverage on Jimmy G all game. Never let him off the line clean. He finished the game without a catch. Now, the question is, this runs a little anti-McD’s zone defense scheme. Obviously you can run some mix zone-man coverages but man coverage on a TE isn’t something I think we have seen much of. And there is the fact that Jimmy had a rep of being “soft” that I don’t think Kelce does, but Kelce also isn’t a Kittle or Gronk who runs through guys with force. Could the answer to stopping Kelce be a big body strong DB mauling him at the LOS? Is that the kind of player we should be targeting this offseason? Would a strategy like this open us up to getting burned by Hill? You could still bracket coverage on the outside with a high safety. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this, because I think Hill is easier to stop. Or rather, the way to stop or slow him down is more obvious. But the key to beating KC is to slow down Kelce without letting Hill burn you.
  5. Haha if you find the UFA that can stop Kelce, I’m sure that several GM’s would be interested, make sure you forward them your list!
  6. Milano is our better LB and if Edmunds was a FA first I think we’d keep Milano over him. Just bad timing. Who do you recommend that can stop Kelce?
  7. As atrocious as Cam was at times, the dude can still make a couple plays to swing a game for you to gut out a win. If your backup has to play, you’re in trouble but Cam had 20 TD’s last season. Not sure any of our backups put up 20 TD’s starting 15 games.
  8. Wins get you top dollar. I don’t know if the value is there for Matt, but he may be our second or third best defensive player.
  9. A Josh Allen/Daboll/AFCGCC topic in camouflage. it would have been nice to discuss Cam Newton more than a sentence or two.
  10. No dude, being a franchise like the Lions, Jets or the 2000-2017 Bills where you can’t get to the postseason and you have no QB is NFL purgatory. If the 2000-2017 Bills were winning an average of a playoff game a year but never won a Super Bowl, they would be the same as the Saints since like 2009. That’s not purgatory. That’s an insult honestly to even consider calling that purgatory.
  11. Yes the Jags and Vikings historically have had so much sustained success that going all-in for trips to the conference championship was basically unnecessary. They have been there like every year before they doubled down. They went in just like the Eagles went in. They won the Super Bowl.
  12. Do we watch the same NFL? You have to go all-in if you want to compete. No team sits around and just rests on their laurels and falls into the Super Bowl.
  13. I mean, Josh was capable of doing that one year. That has no guarantee. Again, with the purgatory?? Insanity. They are trying to win a championship and they have came close. That’s not purgatory.
  14. I don’t care about judging the player. All that matters is that a playoff team just got better. Period. They aren’t resting on their laurels or blowing it up. Whatever preconceived notions you have about them being good enough to beat Kansas City is irrelevant. The Eagles won the Super Bowl with a back up QB who had one monster game. It happens. You have a playoff team and you take risks to get better. Better get used to it, because we are gonna have to do the same thing. We aren’t gonna hold pat and draft rotational safety depth and try to wait out the Chiefs. We are going to try to win.
  15. Like I said, this is a loser’s argument. Brady wasn’t a top 5 QB last year. TB took a chance and it worked out for them. Their ceiling may ALSO be losing to KC in the Super Bowl. So if the Bucs get lit up in the Super Bowl, do we get to say signing Brady was a waste they should have acquired more depth?
  16. Aka, fans don’t get fired when they are wrong. Oh so signing Brady to a 7-9 team is the answer to “this helps us beat Mahomes” but trading for an upgrade at QB on a perennial playoff team isn’t? Watson isn’t currently available and I doubt Rodgers is either. Also neither are better than Mahomes. Your standards are silly. A playoff team with stars in their primes should be trying to get better to win. Every team can’t sit around and draft QB’s and depth to make a run in 5 years. The Rams have been a playoff team in the last 3/4 years, they have made it to the Super Bowl and they just got a better QB to pair with the number one defense in the NFL. A Bills fan calling that time “the worst kind of purgatory” would be funny if it wasn’t so outrageously sad.
  17. The Lions too considering they asked for more compensation to take Goff. I would argue fans are just as lousy.
  18. What move is a yes to that question besides trading for Patrick Mahomes instead? Matt Stafford is better than Goff. We know for certain 2 teams agree with that.
  19. Bad taste in his mouth after the Matt Patricia experience? Every team in the NFL can’t just fold up and tank and let the Chiefs win every year.
  20. Lol, the Rams were supposedly dead last year without their first round picks. One year later and they are back to competing in the postseason. Sean McVay has never had a losing season. He’s done this with a QB who is viewed as a negative asset by the NFL. Waiting for the ball to drop is taking awhile.
  21. Lol if your standards are Super Bowl or bust, Sean McDermott should be fired. Zero Super Bowls!!!!
  22. He could be right. We’ll see. Yes, if Goff was a bad QB made adequate, the expectation will be for Stafford to be great
