  1. That’s the implication behind “Josh’s trajectory.” No one has said “I think it’s more likely Mahomes is slightly better but I stick with Allen.” Except maybe @NewEra
  2. This is the same reason they all shat on Watson pre-2020. It’s not enough that Allen is great and one of the best. Everyone else must be torn down!
  3. What else is there? What else is there? Carson Wentz played at an MVP level for a season once upon a time too. That’s an extreme example, but consistent greatness is the impossible mountain in the NFL. One guy has been great for 3 years straight since he stepped on the field. He’s been GENERATIONAL. Another guy has been generational ONE SEASON. It’s not reasonable to pick player #2 over player #1. It is objectively WRONG. Its incredible to me that some of you truly fail to see what the rest of the NFL world has realized. Mahomes is really truly special. What he’s done is SPECIAL. He’s done things NO QBs have done before.
  4. Substantially worse playcaller? Absolutely disagree. Reid is a great coach. Daboll isn’t as good. But you know what, Daboll OCed the #2 offense in football last year. And he looks better every year his QB plays better because execution has been this teams’ #1 problem since he was hired. Do you know why Andy Reid has been so much better in KC? It’s because his QB’s are better. Your hypothetical is exactly right. Objectively, you’d take Mahomes. If Josh is your boy, you want to take your boy. I’ve said this for like 15 pages now. If you agree one choice is objectively the superior pick, but someone might take someone else because he plays for the Bills, that’s definitely a bias. Call it homer, call it whatever you want. Hilariously enough, if I was the Bills GM I don’t know if I could make that trade if it was offered. I love Josh. But I can admit that’s not me being objective. That’s all.
  5. I brought in the last 3 years because he’s played with Mahomes for 3 years. Why are you doing this to yourself?
  6. Personal attacks? You either intentionally or otherwise missed my CLEARLY stated point (Kelce’s stats improved with Mahomes). I gave you the benefit of the doubt, that it was a failure of reading comprehension. I won’t waste my time defending things I never said nor implied.
  7. Yeah he probably would. He wouldn’t be an All-Pro and he wouldn’t be a ProBowler but he might do a little bit better. We all saw what happened to John Brown and Cole Beasley with Allen compared to their ex-QB’s. As a general rule, a better QB =‘s better numbers for pass-catchers. You are ignoring 20+ years of data if you believe otherwise for a few outliers. Kelvin Benjamin is a big fat tub of goo. No QB could make him work. I don’t think it’s reasonable to think Allen has a “better” chance of being better than Mahomes. If you wanna bet on it because Allen is your boy, by all means.
  8. No. Work on your reading comprehension. You should also work on your reading comprehension.
  9. That’s great because no one has made that argument. All fanbases convince themselves that any QB that plays for them may be good. This is the broken clock argument. You of all people should know that. Here’s a topic where you said you basically loved every bum we have had at QB EXCEPT ALLEN. lol HOMERS GONNA HOMER
  10. So I'm not wrong, in fact, I'm right. And while Knox does drop a lot of passes, it's really sad that you're using that to argue a better QB won't improve his pass-catchers' numbers. This is an obvious fact in the NFL. I already gave you an example with Kelce and I can give many more. Homers gonna homer.
  11. I mean, Kelce also has Mahomes to thank. In the three seasons prior to Mahomes, with a solid QB, Kelce had 3000 yards and 17 TDs. In 3 seasons with Mahomes, he has almost 4000 yards and 26 TDs. Maybe Knox would be a bit better with Mahomie as the signal caller. Again, no one is arguing that Mahomes doesn’t have good weapons. He does. He’s also a better QB than Josh. You can have better weapons AND be better.
  12. And Allen wouldn’t be Allen. He wouldn’t have a wild jump where he finally got weapons. What you don’t seem to understand is that I can agree Mahomes had some nice perks coming into the league and also think that he’s the best QB in football. But he is. Thats why you’re being silly. “Mahomes had help” doesn’t make him any less great.
  13. Like I said, this devolves into the kids playing in the sandbox. “Mahomes wouldn’t have done as well in Buffalo because XYZ.” There’s nothing to say to that. It’s make-believe. I can’t disprove those claims, nor can you prove them. There’s zero evidence. All I can say is Mahomes is and has been a better QB than Josh. There’s lots of evidence there. See, that’s brevity. PS Mahomes is more injury prone is a hilarious take when Mahomes has missed 3 career games and Allen has missed 4. Homerism times 1 billion. This is like trying to convince you to be an atheist.
  14. Damn bro, Dr D has a family
  15. Man I saw this topic was popping and I figured something bad happened with this drafted kid. Instead I got a couple pages of Dick Sherman talk. A pleasant surprise.
  16. Tub of goo part two
  17. I’m sure this is the point Hapless was making... Eyeroll times a billion. @Hapless Bills Fan man what has gotten into us today???
  18. You just write such large posts. Brevity is the soul of wit and all that you know? 51% vs 49% as an abstract would demonstrate that while you can argue it’s close, Mahomes still has a better chance. So again, the correct answer is yes. As I said at that start. Picking a lower probability is how you lose all your money in cards.
  19. Yes. You can parse it any way you want, but at best there’s a 51% chance Mahomes is better and 49% chance Allen is. That’s just based on reality.
  20. If that would be equally valid the other way, then it supports “nothing.” Lol. It’s a wash.
  21. This. Why do we spend so much time holding athletes to account for the things they do or don’t say and not the idiots who treat it like gospel? Here’s a fun little tip. If an athlete says something about public health, or geopolitics or the ***** weather, don’t worry too much about it.
  22. Choices have consequences but they wouldn’t be choices if you didn’t let people make bad ones. Consider me unconcerned.
  23. Oh no! Doesn’t Tremaine know that Poyer is a bad teammate and he should be eviscerating people who don’t get vaccinated? Poor leadership strikes again.
  24. That’s your opinion. Not necessarily theirs. They don’t care what you think. Josh isn’t giving this presser wondering how you are going to react. He doesn’t care. You don’t have any idea about the locker room dynamic. For all we know, they are mostly in agreement it’s a personal choice and Josh isn’t coming strongly about it so: A. People like you don’t make it a distraction B: No one on the team feels alienated
  25. YOU think they’re bad. Maybe the Bills don’t think Beasley and Poyer are bad. Josh definitely doesn’t think Beasley is bad. Josh doesn’t care what you think. He’s not your leader.
