  1. Honestly, we complete that pass or the scramble drill to Knox and that is a game for the history books.
  2. What’s very funny is that gun to my head, I would agree with @DrDawkinsteinand @Alphadawg7 that the offense is more to blame for last nights’ loss than the defense. In fact, if that was the topic title, I would have just agreed. However, the topic title is about if the defense could stop the run. The answer, of course, is no. Allowing 4.8 YPC with 11 in the box is not stopping the run. Not by a long shot. And for anyone who thinks the defense “played well enough to win,” when was the last time our defense carried us to a victory? They’ve had some great games, against David Mills and Jacoby Brissett, but when was our last “stop them here and it’s over” game? 2019? The Bills D had some good moments and bad moments. They had a critically bad moment, honestly probably the worst moment of the game, when they let them burst through 11 guys for a long score. Another horrible moment when the Pats ate up a ton of the 3rd Q when we had the wind. None of this excuses the rest of the idiots for their also bad moments. But Leslie Frazier and McDermott are sick today that a one dimensional offense outmuscled us and ran the ball down our throat for 60 minutes. They are sick that Nathan Peterman could have played QB and we would have still lost. And BB is smiling.
  3. Basically the Pats executed their entire gameplan on offense and defense last night and they won. Their gameplan wasn’t to drop 40 points on us. They did everything they wanted to do, while our offense and defense didn’t stop them.
  4. Where did I excuse the offense Mr Strawman?
  5. Hyperbole isn’t a strawman lol. Are you addicted to that word? Acceptable would have been not allowing a 14 play drive. Or not allowing a 64 yard rush. Either of those and we win on the backs of our “great” defense. Unfortunately, they remain the “great defense (when playing the Jets or Texans)”.
  6. Don’t you complain about strawmans every post lol
  7. I’m surprised BB isn’t really really mad that the Bills had an epic defensive performance. Historic even.
  8. Second round picks who can’t see the field or play are generally hot on the trade market. Phones have been ringing off the hook for Cody Ford.
  9. Lol Tolbert wasn’t here when Dabs was. That’s McD all day everyday.
  10. Buddy, they outgained us and outscored us without passing the ball and without turning it over. That was a total team win by them, besides ST. Their gameplan was to run the ball, control the clock, and win a low scoring game in a horrific environment. And their phases executed. Your premise is incorrect.
  11. strictly speaking, allowing 14 points and 4.8 YPC on 44 rushes when a team cannot throw the football is not a great performance in the NFL. The Pats aren’t mad about their offense today. They’re ecstatic. You’re just wrong.
  12. This is a total strawman. No one said the offense was less to blame. What most people have said is the Pats said, “here’s what we are going to do all night, try to stop us” and still ran it down our throat for 4.8 YPC. No one who knows football is pointing at last night as a great defensive performance. Nobody. Your premise is flawed.
  13. The defense can keep their head high knowing that they got the answers to the test and scored 80%. I won’t.
  14. They ran the ball above league average and didn’t have to attempt a pass all game. We knew the play and they still pantsed us. Stop.
  15. You’re right. I found him like Where’s Waldo in the play below. He definitely dominated the edge getting taken out of the play by a WR.
  16. Just trying to figure out if he’s real or like a computer generated Madden player or something. I see him on the website as a Bill. Not sure I’ve ever seen him play.
  17. The defense still sucked. The offense sucking doesn’t mean the defense didn’t. They both sucked
  18. Calling this an ideal playoff scenario is bananas. Ideal playoff scenario is homefield, bye week, playing the Texans/Jets and Lions on our road to a Super Bowl championship.
  19. We knew the playcall all game. They rushed at a 4.8 YPC clip. League average this year is 4.3. ALLOWING HALF A YARD BETTER THAN LEAGUE AVERAGE WHEN YOU KNOW THE PLAYCALL IS BAD.
  20. Yeah last night was embarrassing that an offense that threw the ball 3 times scores double digit points in the National Football League in 2021. Glad you realized it.
  21. Is it a sloppy wet game? yeah, I’d expect a fumble or two even if we don’t recover. You asked what more they could do. They knew what every play was going to be after the 1st Q. Still let up a long 14 play FG drive. Some of you don’t realize on a football level how embarrassing last night was. Last night proved Navy could beat this team in bad weather. It was GOD AWFUL.
  22. Baldy just posted some plays on Twitter. The entire OL gets zero push. We lose double teams, LB’s beat down our OG’s, and we don’t move the LoS at all. Daboll calls HB dives because if we execute, we get 4 and if we don’t, we get 1 or 2. If you start running traps and counters and tosses and other slow developing run plays, we will get -4. I take 2nd and 9 over 2nd and 14 all day every day. Team is fundamentally flawed. There is no one on the OL that should be safe next year. Maybe Spencer Brown.
  23. It’s hard to use McKenzie in a gadget role if your HC makes him inactive
  24. We scored 6 points, had 3 TO’s and were 6-15 on third down. You’re right, we had a warm weather domination game.
