  1. Oh right. I can’t believe how dissimilar the debates are between the top 2 QB’s of their era, one who has won multiple titles and beaten the other in the playoffs routinely though the first part of their careers paired with a HoF coach, and another who achieved statistical greatness without advancing nearly as far in the playoffs. Definitely apples to orangutans.
  2. Think hard about what side of that settled debate you sound like.

  4. I guess I kinda thought execution errors like dropped passes and lining up incorrectly and running wrong routes was a part of consistency. I thought the WR’s being overall horrific and not being ready to play would be the opposite of “firing on all cylinders.” Maybe they were consistently bad and that’s a sign of consistent coaching? these are rhetorical questions of course. In McD’s career, they had that glorious 2020 year. The one where they lost on a flukey Hail Mary, then went 6-0 to end the year. In everyone single game, they won by double digits. They had two games they won by 20 and another they won by 30, where their opponent was a division rival in a win and in, and we benched our starters. I would argue that stretch was pretty consistent. They of course then beat the Colts then slaughtered the defending MVP.
  5. Dan Morgan looks the worst and he had like 5 seconds of screen time lol. Was jangling around Burns immediately after Schoen was talking trades, asked for 2 ones then immediately dropped to “1 and stuff.” we all know he eventually took a second and fifth swap. Brutal.
  6. You could ask the Chiefs the same thing. I’m not sure they had a consistent game in 2023 where they were firing on all cylinders.
  7. No. Bass started off horrific, achieved some level of consistency between 21 and 22, then fell back into disrepair. He kicks 70% in the playoffs (33% from 40-49 yards) and is an even more depressing 89.7% on XP’s in the playoffs. Most overrated kicker in a long time. He ain’t no Hauschka or Lindell. He’s Dan Carpenter who turned back into a pumpkin.
  8. Point made. Bills fans diminishing other players to prop up their own inferior ones. Man oh man, it would be so funny if history repeated itself today in a QB debate.
  9. 2011? He won 13 games and went the conference championship where they lost to the eventual champs by 3 points in OT. Got further than he ever did with Andy. Although, to be fair, that was when Andy was still a notorious playoff choker and managed to lose a playoff game they were up 38-10. what a success with Andy Reid lmao.
  10. Smart teams draft players at high impact positions BEFORE they are crippling needs. I know this is shocking to hear. The Bills only draft those positions when they have no other choice. They’d rather save up those mid rounders for back up running backs.
  11. Alex Smith was a solid QB. Who had developed a rep of being a safe QB after his first rough couple years. His INT totals in his last 2 years in SF were 5 and 5. His career low in INT% was in SF in 2011. Does Reid get credit for winning football games with a relatively limited QB? For sure, but it’s not like Smith didn’t accomplish similar things with Harbaugh. Alex Smith was criminally underrated on this board. He would’ve been the second best QB in Bills history at the time had we gotten him in 2013.
  12. Yeah they are doing like Giants off-season to start. It kinda rules
  13. Not sure if anyone’s watching. There was a scene where Daboll was picking DC and clearly citing his PFR stats on his phone. Coaches, they are just like us
  14. Oh no no no no. You folks said that what McD is doing is baseline what every HC could do with Allen as QB. Now it’s Beane keeping the roster stocked with talent to keep us competitive? Hard to be consistent on the “team success is all Allen, not coaching” train I suppose. Fair enough with the rest, I do think he’s a good frontman and the Bills are a professional operation now finally. But with that rebuild kinda over, I feel like it’s easier to take over and maintain that rep, personally.
  15. Mahomes FO was so great, they fired the GM right after they drafted him.
  16. No why is Beane an afterthought? He’s McD’s guy?
  17. One of things I liked about McD and Beane as a package was that they had a previous working relationship and appeared on the same page. It worked, to a point. The last thing I would want if you all got your wish of Ben Johnson in 2025 would be to saddle him with a dude that may be diametrically opposed to his team building philosophy. Think Whaley vs Marrone or Rex. If you’re gonna change gears, change gears all the way. Let two new guys in who are on the same page.
  18. No idea what Beane has done to warrant such defense. If he’s just McD’s patsty and doing whatever he wants, what is his value? If he, more likely imo, was hired because he agrees with the same team-building strategy, then he’s gotta go too. Beane is not some brainwashed Stockholm syndrome DL hoarder. He has agency. It would be hysterical to watch the Bills fire McD, keep Beane and then go DL in the first for a few more years lol.
  19. This post counts as evidence in favor of keeping McDermott @GoBills808
  20. That’s because Brady and BB ended up 30-11 in the postseason. There will be more Chiefs playoff losses with Reid/Mahomes. But lots of teams that play them lots of times are gonna lose more often than they win. Like us. If you don’t think we can ever beat any other good team in playoffs, I disagree but I understand why you’d be done with McD. I don’t agree with that. I think it’s going to be really hard to get past the Chiefs. As evidenced by 3/4 last seasons. I think we have better odds of winning the SB if someone else knocked out the Chiefs in the playoffs. I am on record that if McD and co lose to any other team in the playoffs that aren’t the Chiefs, I’m ready to pull the plug
  21. If there was a “fire McD and hire BB” option, I’d take it imo.
  22. Mahomes would be better. Not sure about 3 rings. More rings than Allen tho.
