It extremely bothers me that the Bengals got to the Super Bowl by rebuilding their DL with guys that we pursued. They grabbed Reader and Hendrickson, and both of those dudes have been GREAT. They would have been great here and we had a lot of interest in both. Just sad.

If you knew anything about the NBA, you would know that paying "above average" players their max contacts and capping out decent teams happens virtually every year. This doesn't help. YES. Russell Westbrook and John Wall have larger cap hits than Lebron. Argument over.

Flores wasn't good as a head coach. And he hated his black QB. His owner chose the black QB over the black coach. Flores is not going to win. He is torpedoing his career for nothing. A former Bills AGM wanted to hire a former Bills OC with an impressive resume because he had worked with him. That former Bills AGM did his due diligence in interviewing other candidates because that's what a good manager would do. But he wanted Daboll and he hired him. The rest is just smear and hearsay.

Bro they started out the season 1-7 and he basically treated their young QB and top 5 pick like *****. They also were woeful in their do-or-die games. The legend of Brian Flores continues to grow. AFAIK, Flores isn't claiming he was fired because of racism anyway, so who cares? He's mad he didn't get the job he wanted. Vance Joseph went back to coaching defenses. Gary Kubiak went back to OC. McDaniels crawled back to OC and didn't get another chance at HC for 10 years.

It's very very rare for an HC to get fired from his current job and immediately walk into another HC job. Even BB had to wait 5 years in-between Cleveland and NE. Caroll had to go to USC. Harbaugh went to Michigan. Andy Reid did. But Andy went to the playoff 9 times, went to the Superbowl, 4 straight conference championships. etc. Flores couldn't hold a candle to Andy Reid.

Exactly. Brian Daboll. Top 5 offense twice in his final two seasons. Helped turn a physically talented polarizing QB prospect into arguably the best in the NFL. Beloved by said QB who said he would beg him to stay. By most accounts, loved by his players. Groomed by a great, well-respected, leader of men in McDermott, and previously, Saban/BB. Compared to, Brian Flores. Oversaw a offense in the bottom 10 3 years in a row. Fired OC after OC. Attempted to shatter his young talented QB prospect's confidence over and over again, whether with words or constant benchings. Got all of "his" defenses pieces and oversaw an above average defense once as an HC. Oversaw a 7 game losing streak after starting 1-0, (he gets tremendous credit for a turnaround, but they wouldn't need a turnaround without an equally horrendous collapse). Had his team completely unprepared in a do-or-die week 17 game with a playoff berth on the line. Flores star faded. Daboll's has only shone brighter. That's how it goes. How many other coaches have gotten their number 1 HC job one month after being fired from their last job?

I don’t think so. maybe Daboll didn’t want McKenzie benched and inactive. Doesn’t mean Dabs hated McD but I could easily see him being overruled and not being “happy” about it. Ultimately, I bet this is wildly overblown over a couple disagreements between an offensive coach and a defensive coach on certain things which happen in probably every single team every week. I’ve see BB scream at McDaniels for 12 years. Doubt they hate each other.
