  1. I don't think comparing BB's record without Brady to McD's coaching record with Josh is very fair lol. For example, McD's has a losing record without Josh. McD has zero SB appearances without Josh. The plan to hire BB would not be to "start over." It would be the exact opposite. It would be a short-term move to try get a ring while Josh is still in his physical prime.
  2. Belichick. If we are going into this playoff gauntlet of Ravens then likely Chiefs then likely Eagles/Lions, who would you rather have coaching?
  3. I’ve read how it works 5 years running. You are still basing all of your work off wAV. And wAV is a JAG/end of the roster fluff machine. As evidenced by the JAG/end of the roster fluff machine. Your stat that is the crux of your argument ranks a Boogie Basham bust sucky player as an infinitely better contributor than someone who doesn’t make the team or see the field. Which we know is not true. There are a trillion Boogie-tier guys in the NFL or on the couch. Our drafts probably look better with your methodology because Hamlin has started 2 years due to injury and the safety room sucking. He still sucks. Gonna have a better wAV though.
  4. I would argue the 16th or 18th highest paid DT and the 26th highest paid defensive lineman being ranked 135th in the NFL in sacks and 169th in TFL's is perhaps slightly overpaid @GunnerBill
  5. Spotrac is being weird https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/player/_/year/2024/position/dt/sort/contract_average This has Ed at 16 in 2024. This has Ed at 12 in 2023.
  6. That's because he signed 2 years ago.... He was the 6th highest paid DT in AAV in 2023. He is the the 9th highest paid DT in AAV in 2024. He will be the 16th highest paid DT in AAV in 2025. That's like saying Josh Allen is underpaid because Kirk Cousins hit FA last offseason and Josh signed his extension 3 years ago. That's not how it works. Ed got top 6 money when he was extension eligible. He has not been top 6 money worthy. Point blank. Period. Gunner thinks Singles is a total JAG too lmao. You lost the race before you could even tie your shoes.
  7. Drafts lose value as the years go on. The reason why 2024 has "contributors" and 2021 does not is because its currently 2024. In 2019, you could have said "this was such a great draft, we got 4 starters and 3 backups/contributors! Only one guy didn't make the team!" Looking at 2019 now, we have only 2 guys still on the team, and both are overpaid. Singletary was a JAG RB. Ford was a disaster shipped off at the first opportunity. Ed is good but not quite good enough. And Dawson Knox was such a starter that despite being paid a top 10 TE contract at the time of signing, the team turned around and traded up in the first round to send him to the bench. We are gonna have "contributors" from each new draft every year. The old "contributors" will be cut, traded or not re-signed and largely out of the league. That's the reality of the league economy.
  8. It's a tremendous weak spot. Benford's wAV is 12. Spector, Boogie Basham and Elam combined wAV is 15. Any methodology that has the contributions of those 3 players as superior to Christian Benford's contribution is largely meaningless tbh.
  9. 31-10 Bills. Lamar reverts to playoff Lamar
  10. I think is is my old lawn Mr Brightside is a top tier banger. Elite song. Making it the Bills vibe song is ever better.
  11. Von Miller choked at this post.
  12. Watching Darnold losing 150M this game in real time is very sad
  13. I really didn’t like Lamar. Drastically so. Allen at least as a toolsy lotto ticket I understood. I flat out did not think Lamar was capable of passing at an NFL level. And tbh, he wasn’t as a rookie, he was okay as a passer in 2019 and has gotten better every step of the way since.
  14. More importantly is to get out to a lead and not let Baltimore be content to get 4 yards+ a pop. They are a downhill sledding team. Getting up 10-3 or 14-3 can ruin their gameplan more than anything the defensive alignment can do. If we win the toss, I want ball first to put pressure on Monken and Lamar. The Chiefs with their 7 pt lead panicked them last year in the AFCCG. We can do the same.
  15. I think he’s a good coach. One of the better ones in the league imo. that said, I think he is largely overrated. His playoff resume is disastrous. Could you imagine if the Bills got the 1 seed, went to a conference championship and lost to a team whose QB threw 8 passes? Or if the Bills had their QB win MVP, get the one seed, and put up 10 points in the divisional round in a loss? Based on the resume, the outlier appears to be last years upset of the Cowboys.
  16. Agreed. Great defensive performance this week. If they keep it up, they can beat anyone. I doubt the offense starts as slow next week. I’m very much enjoying the ride. We shall see how the defense performs over the next few weeks (hopefully). That’s the point lol. For folks who are supposedly “enjoying the ride” you sure are worried about what the “haters” are gonna say if they fall short again. Especially if the defense falls apart. Again. Take your own advice. No need to start complaining before anything bad happens.
  17. Who is hating? This topic was made to preempt another playoff defensive collapse, because the reputation of the Josh Allen Sean McDermott Bills is playoff defensive collapses. It’s obvious. If folks weren’t worried about this defense laying an egg and losing in the divisional round, this topic wouldn’t exist. It’s a rubber stamp that the fear is real.
  18. Are we really laboring under the belief that folks with hundreds or thousands of posts on twobillsdrive.com are not rooting for the Bills to win?
  19. Very sad to see some posters preemptively getting in front of any potential McD criticism going into the divisional round. kinda tells you all you need to know tbh.
  20. He has some BAD misses today. More than his usual.
  21. Im not blaming anything. It’s just their philosophy. When you play small ball, you can get hurt by execution. 12-15 play drives are hard to sustain.
  22. The narrative wasn’t about the specifics on point total, more on their philosophy of running the football, winning the possession battle, and limiting drives for both teams by shortening the game.
