  1. The reason this is still discussed. led both teams in receiving yards in a playoff game we lost to the Chiefs, again.
  2. What you are missing is the pursuit of the truth. Wholly negative propaganda to offset positive propaganda doesn’t seem right. I wouldn’t say the reports out on Caleb Williams this year have glowing at all, I don’t know what you’ve seen otherwise?
  3. I don’t know why you’d think he’d be done. He is in a no-lose scenario. He gets to write a nice editorial narrative sandwiched in between probably true quotes, and if he’s “wrong,” he can fall back on “just reporting what my sources told me.” he gets to live in an island where he can pretend to be just following journalistic standards if he’s wrong, and look very smart if he’s right and rinse and repeat. What are the odds the next long form piece Ty Dunne article is inside the Cleveland Browns dysfunction and the Shedeur Sanders drama, with a bunch of quotes from an anonymous Stefanski or whoever gets fired from that hellhole next year? Even money I think.
  4. My issue isn’t that he takes shots without substance. My issue is pretty concisely laid out previously. Do you find it counterproductive when someone posts Stephen A Smith’s silly opinion on something, and someone says “I try not to listen to this guy, because he kinda sucks?” Just seems like an extremely strange and unique hill to die on. Maybe if I charged $5 to read my posts, we could shame everybody who ignores me to stop being “counterproductive.”
  5. “You need to pay $5 to read “Axe-To-Grind Monthly” otherwise you are just being a troll and maybe threatening the bastion of free speech!” Maybe if Ty Dunne didn’t make a deserving reputation of posting hatchet jobs, more folks would have an open-mind and actually pay to read his work instead of writing it off. You know. Vote with your wallet and all that? Thought that was just doing your part as a good citizen. I guess I NEED to give Dunne some more money to have an opinion on him. Do you own stock in Go Long?
  6. They were elite defensively last year so it’s kinda not an overreaction tbh
  7. The play is designed for them to run by each very closely and potentially “pick” a defender to spring the other one free. They both ran drags. At least one was positioned too close to the other and they collided. That’s not really “running the wrong route,” but the truth isn’t as pithy as “he sucks, he ran the wrong route.”
  8. Do we think Kyle Long is a fan of the piece?
  9. It was a mesh pattern so neither of them?
  10. Totally respect you enjoying the content. i find the “I interviewed 30 people who have a million reasons to have bad things to say about X, and guess what? They have bad things to say!” pieces to be worth less than what Dunne’s substack costs. If it was free, maybe I’d get into the nitty gritty with you about it, but claiming that paywalled speech is being “killed” is certainly something lmao.
  11. Ty Dunne picks the angle, then finds the sources and writes the article to find the conclusion he planned to find all along. Calling the predraft process where they eventually selected the clear cut #1 QB prospect all year at 1.1 “rigged” tells you all you need to know. It was totally “rigged” when the Jags took Trevor Lawrence too, I bet.
  12. Rewatching, it looks like they ran a lot of 1 or 0 TE sets. they also would motion their TE (Conklin) to the outside of the formation occasionally.
  13. Usually when you use quotations marks, it’s to quote someone.
  14. What’s the old saying? even a talentless hack is right twice a day?
  15. Maybe let’s pump the breaks on the victory lap until Monday morning.
  16. You can learn from another NFL team without them needing to be better than you.
  17. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/bills-keon-coleman-set-to-remain-limited-friday/ Our injured guy is better than their injured guy
  18. Do people still care what this guy types on Cheetos dust keyboard? Remember his “epic” takedown of McD that resulted in a 6 game win streak and the 2 seed? An unserious “journalist” whose claim to fame is being on speaking terms with jilted lovers Monos and Whaley
  19. Who is KC elite #2 boundary CB that has carried Spags and their defense these last 4 seasons? Bashaud Breeland? Won an SB and went to 2 with Spags. Out of the league. Rashad Fenton? Won 2 SB’s with Spags. Out of the league. Jaylen Watson? Went to 2 SB’s with Spags and won both. 7th round pick. Missed all but 4 games last year. Who replaced him, to go to the SB, again? The Chiefs have largely had a very good CB1 and a very good slot CB and an unremarkable CB2. Hm, who does that sound like?? There was exactly ONE season where they had two good boundary corners. Sneed and Ward. They lost in the conference championship that year.
  20. So the Chargers found a way to get their multiple slots involved last night. Keenan Allen at 24 was a slot guy, he certainly still is at 34. Ladd is still a slot guy. We talk all the time about where some of our WRs are best suited or can differently attack a defense. What did you notice about how the Chargers got Allen and Ladd both involved and can the Bills and Brady use any of that to give the offense some different wrinkles with Keon getting some snaps at big slot, etc?
  21. We did it with the Chiefs the last two years in a row. I will be happy with any loss on their schedule. They are not dead until they are buried and eliminated.
  22. Hey I was probably the most dissenting to voice to you a year ago or so. I still thought the negatives outweighed the positives when it came to making a change. No longer lol
  23. There's lots of factors. But really it comes back to breaking the drought and a lack of perspective to the rest of the NFL. The ones most ardently defending McD think that this era, winning the division every year, playoffs every year, etc etc started because of what happened on December 31st 2017. The folks engaging against them recognize, correctly, this era is the direct result of the decision made on April 26th 2018. That's why there's a visceral reaction to anything to the contrary. They truly believe McD is the lynchpin to the whole operation. They don't want to move on without a "guarantee" the next guy could do better. because they think without McD, we fall back in 20 years in the basement of the division while Justin Fields and Drake Maye and Tua just can't stop winning the AFCE. I'm not even being facetious. You are arguing a return to potentially being a poverty franchise to them, and that was miserable for all Bills fans.
  24. None of this matters. It doesn't matter the games are close and a play or two different makes a difference. The bottom line is if the defense didn't allow the KC offense to play one of their best offensive games of the year, every year, we would win most of those games. And that hasn't changed. They punked our defense when they had elite HoF players in 2020. Okay, well, they can't keep up that talent level forever. And the last two years, they haven't. They've been mediocre offensively ALL YEAR. And when they play us, they turn into the greatest show on turf. And we lose a close ones separated by a handful of plays, instead of winning going away with a reasonable defensive performance. If that isn't going to be enough for people at 0-4, we will see if it is enough at 0-5. Look for KC scoring their highest point total of the season or close to it, again, vs the Bills.
  25. To hear this discussed, again, apparently McD is all that holds us back from going back to the drought while the Dolphins or Pats or Jets become the new AFCE dynasty, and the only coach they would even consider replacing McD with needs to have won multiple SB's and also be available for the Bills to hire and guarantee the Bills win a Super Bowl instantly otherwise its too big of a risk. I get it. If I believed all those things, I wouldn't ever want a change either.
