No why is Beane an afterthought? He’s McD’s guy?

One of things I liked about McD and Beane as a package was that they had a previous working relationship and appeared on the same page. It worked, to a point. The last thing I would want if you all got your wish of Ben Johnson in 2025 would be to saddle him with a dude that may be diametrically opposed to his team building philosophy. Think Whaley vs Marrone or Rex. If you’re gonna change gears, change gears all the way. Let two new guys in who are on the same page.

Why?

No idea what Beane has done to warrant such defense. If he’s just McD’s patsty and doing whatever he wants, what is his value? If he, more likely imo, was hired because he agrees with the same team-building strategy, then he’s gotta go too. Beane is not some brainwashed Stockholm syndrome DL hoarder. He has agency. It would be hysterical to watch the Bills fire McD, keep Beane and then go DL in the first for a few more years lol.

That’s because Brady and BB ended up 30-11 in the postseason. There will be more Chiefs playoff losses with Reid/Mahomes. But lots of teams that play them lots of times are gonna lose more often than they win. Like us. If you don’t think we can ever beat any other good team in playoffs, I disagree but I understand why you’d be done with McD. I don’t agree with that. I think it’s going to be really hard to get past the Chiefs. As evidenced by 3/4 last seasons. I think we have better odds of winning the SB if someone else knocked out the Chiefs in the playoffs. I am on record that if McD and co lose to any other team in the playoffs that aren’t the Chiefs, I’m ready to pull the plug

No but in your silly blind reveal, why don’t you include Josh Allen’s playoff stats in his losses only. Guarantee our beautiful boy is at the bottom of those other numbers.

I don’t even know who you are lol. My overarching is point is that Reid >>>> McD and Mahomes > Allen. And I would feel much worse about McD if anyone else had demonstrated the ability to outcoach Reid/Mahomes in the postseason, but they haven’t except for one game out of the Bengals. The earlier posts were directed to other posters (not you) in a different conversation and pertained to their immense frustration with McD stemming from their belief that if we had a better coach, WE would be the dynasty because WE have the best QB in the NFL. Which I don’t agree with.

The reason we don’t have an SB? yeah, it’s absolutely partially Allen. He was trash in 2019 in the second half vs Houston. Trash in AFC title game in 2020. Trash in the 2022 Bengals game. He’s also seemingly had the bad luck to slump just enough in the middle of the season to cost us the one seed a couple times. Kinda wild that he’s NEVER been the one seed before Tannehill or Lamar Jackson.

Lol if that’s what you think those posts say, that I am attributing 100% of the blame to the QB for playoff losses, we are speaking different languages.

Compare Allen’s numbers with Daboll. He was a pretty good OC that got an HC job. Outside of that outlier 2021 season, it’s not all that different. 94.3 passer rating in 2020 playoffs. Like I have said in the past, the 2021 playoff run is really the only reason that anyone think Josh is on Mahomes level. And it was an awesome run, that Josh has never been able to replicate again.

We can compare the last 2 seasons, in which both players had probably the most comparable group of offensive talent around them. Allen: 2-2, 63% completion, 11 TD's (4.6%), 3 INT's (2%) 299 YPG, 90.0 passer rating Mahomes: 7-0, 70% completion, 13 TD's (5.2%), 1 INT (0.4%) 279 YPG, 107.5 passer rating Allen is a lot closer to a guy who had one incredible Mahomes plus playoff run than a guy who is actually consistently on his level.

Mahomes. Mahomes playoff numbers: 15-3, 67.9 completion%, 46 TD’s (6.9 TD%), 8 INT’s (1.2 INT%), 315 YPG, 105.8 passer rating Allen’s playoff numbers: 5-5, 64.6 completion%, 27 TD’s (5.6 TD%), 4 INT’s (1.1 INT%) 328 YPG, 100.0 passer rating It’s not really a debate. Allen elevates in the playoffs and plays close to his level but there’s a definite gap imo.
