Week 7/8 missing Williams and Deebo in 2023. So that’s not really fair (although it makes Deebo look worth a Hall of Fame LT AND a good WR). Regardless, Deebo has major injury concerns at this point, has a high contract, and will be 29 this season. Even if he’s that important, will he be in 2 years?

I’m surprised cut/trade Deebo and pay Aiyuk isn’t gaining traction in SF.

NFL refused to allow Caleb Williams tax moves

They traded the #1 pick last year. That’s how they got it this year. It wasn’t a “gift.” Eventually, you have to use your picks to find a good QB, something the Bears haven’t had in a decade plus. Caleb was the best QB prospect in the last two seasons. It’s much easier to argue that they did everything right, even if Caleb isn’t the answer. -
I never want to hear this dudes name again. Public enemy #1

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

I want more talent. Mahomes can prop up bad defenses in the playoffs. He won two SB’s doing so. we need to help Allen do it with more offensive talent. -

He needs help, obviously. Or else he would’ve won a lot more playoff games despite poor defensive performances like his contemporary has. This is probably Beane’s thought process. “Allen is on Mahomes’ level, so we don’t need to overinvest on offensive talent.” He’s wrong. And he will be wrong again. We haven’t been good enough to win a shootout in the playoffs in Allen’s entire tenure. -
Oh yes, in Mara’s view, Schoen probably screwed it up. But that’s why owners can be silly. Tying up $20M+ on a backup QB and RB is silly, they used that money on Burns instead.

The argument is that we need better offensive weapons to close the gap between Allen and Mahomes so if and when the defense collapses, we can still win with offense like Mahomes does all the time. I have zero expectation for Allen + Coleman and MVS and Samuel to win a playoff game if the defense allows 35+. Get Allen some more weapons and I think he can elevate to Mahomes’ level and start winning more playoff games. -

QB’s records when their defense allows 35 points or higher in the playoffs. Mahomes: 2-1 Allen: 0-2 I’m sorry my dude. It’s Joever. This “Mahomes is carried by his D” claptrap is revisionist history. The guy played literally perfect against the Eagles in the Super Bowl throwing to JuJu and carried his offense AND defense. Some QB’s are built different. -

They did last year. They didn’t their 2 other SuperBowls. In 2022, they allowed a playoff PPG of 25. They won anyway. Allowed 35 points and 417 yards of offense in the Super Bowl. They won anyway. Those numbers are nearly identical to McD’s averages vs the Chiefs in the postseason. Some QB’s are built different and can win in spite of their defense. -

KC scored 21.6 PPG last year. They scored 23.75 in the playoffs. Offenses are expected to struggle lmao. Maybe for certain QBs. -

And yet, if we had lost, there’s no doubt @GoBills808 and @HappyDays would point to that game as yet another example McDermott sucks. And we would hear about it forever. -

Hey man, we can’t count the games where the offense did basically nothing and the defense outscored the opponent single-handedly who was led by the reigning MVP. Otherwise our narrative of, “Josh Allen is perfect and everyone else holds him back” doesn’t hold up as well. -
ew no. Paying Barkley that money would be franchise malpractice. Schoen paying that money would’ve been outrageous. Ditto with Tyrod. how do Bills fans not realize that your backup quality QB and your great RB DO NOT MATTER. We literally lived that for 20 years.

I consider missed FG’s a part of the game. Garbage time points are not, because the game is over. The offense had a really good run in 2021. Like historically good. Outside of that run, they have a significant amount of warts. They collapsed in 2019 v Houston and 2020 v the Chiefs. In 2022, they sleptwalked the entire postseason, and allowed Skylar Thompson to keep it close by turning it over 100 times then got blasted by Cinci. Our guy is making a living on two great playoff games, one vs a rookie who is no longer a starting QB in the NFL. -
Mara irrationally wanting Saquon and being worried he will go to a division rival is SO BILLSY. Shades of Bills fans losing their minds because they lost Mike Gillislee to the Pats. This season thing of Hard Knocks is incredible.

Holy smokes lol. The Bills-Chiefs final score was a garbage time fiesta. It was 38-15 with 7 minutes left and we got some garbage time points up. What an offensive masterclass. -

Bills top 5 in 4DC percentage too. -
Meh, a slight decrease from 158 to 157 doesn’t change much. Still an elite number.

On the business side? No. on the operations side, you have a point. Look at the NBA for example. Their organizations are FILLED with MIT type guys. Daryl Morey, Sam Hinkie (RIP). Guys that are pioneers in pushing the envelopment from an analytical standpoint. The gold standard for analytics in the NFL for the last 20 years is a guy who went to Wesleyan College and got paid 25 bucks a week to be a coaching assistant.

What narrative? I made the comment that he played lots of snaps last year. You chimed in that they decreased in the second half, they did, but my point was that he played lots of snaps. Not that they did or did not decrease in the second half of the year. My narrative, the entire time, was that he played lots of snaps. Which is what I said. This persecution complex is absurd lol. I’m not out to get you or make you look stupid with every post, that’s just a bonus most of the time. -

His snaps decreased in the second half of the year. He still played lots of snaps. So it doesn’t really matter that they mildly decreased in the second half lol.
